This game was created in 1990-1991. It was one of the many games of the MARIO series. I hold this game as one of the best games in this series. In this game, Mario and his older brother Luigi are in a quest to defeat the evil Bowser and all of his relatives.

This is your pet friend Yoshi. If you find him in an egg and set him free he will let you ride him around. He comes in handy many a time. He can eat vilins and spit their shells out. You can use this as a weapon against other enimies. Sometimes if the villin has a red shell, he will spit out fire. Yoshi also has a super long tounge which he uses to swallow his evil counterparts. Yoshi can jump about the same height as Mario, and thats pretty awesome. If you finish the level and you still have him you get to keep him on to the next level. There are all kinds of other different color Yoshi's. Like the red ones can always spit out fire if it has a shell in its mouth, the yellow one can stomp! on the ground/evil counterparts when it has a shell in is mouth, and finally the blue one can fly if it has a shell in its mouth. You also have to feed them. When you just get these ones in STAR WORLD you have to give them 3 shells before they become grown up like the green Yoshi. You can find them in the board STAR WORLD. But, I think the green one is the best because that is the origional Yoshi. All in all Yoshi is the best weapon in all of the game.

This is a picture of the first gameboard which Mario and Luigi encounter. Right now they are on the level Yoshi's island. It is not really a level it is just a place to feed your yoshi with apples.

This is mario when he finds green Yoshi is an egg in the second level. This is the first level that Yoshi appears. He is also useful in getting coins. Do you see the fire going at the evil turtles? That is the fire from Yoshi's mouth because he swallowed a red shell(and when the Yoshi species eats shells ,the chemical acids in its 7 stomachs react to the reverberation acids in the shell and it goes up through their 5 airpipes and 10 throats collecing acids in the airpipes and throats resulting in 3 flames going in the same direction but different lattitude) which resuts in massive pain for the enimies.
