AMATEURS is a weekly party hosted by Shaun Slaughter featuring live music from the best in left of center independent label artists.
AMATEURS focuses on showcasing up and coming artists as well as well known staples heard at our clubs (Lipstick & VIcious) along side local musicians who's talen runs parallel.
In addition to the live music, Shaun Slaughter & Jon Droll (+ other guest DJs) will provide a backdrop between the acts spinning all things loud, banging and dance floor friendly.
Capitol Garage?
After our highly successful and ridiculously fun night "Fuck" was closed due to circumstances beyond our control we set to find a venue to foster the insanity that went on every friday....and Capitol Garage was the first to bite. Although smaller than The Townhouse (Capacity is 150~) Charles @ Cap G understands our idea and has amazing access to new and before, unobtainable acts.
The newly renovated Capitol Garage, located @ the corner of 15 & K st, has an amazing new set up and is probably the best micro club in town. Here's a run down of the new venue's specs:
FULL BAR, TWO OUTSIDE PATIOS (DRINKING/SMOKING PERMITTED), FULL KITCHEN & GRILL, UNOBSTRUCTED VIEW OF STAGE FROM ANYWHERE IN THE VENUE, 1 50" & 2 30" PLASMA SCREEN TELLYS, STATE OF THE ART TRI AMP SOUND SYSTEM, SPEAKERS IN THE FUCKING BATHROOME...ETC
