Spacewrecks
Here is a collection of SPACEWRECK models I have created based on illustrations found in the popular Terran Trade Authority Handbook titled; "SPACEWRECK."

Spacewreck #4

This Spacewreck model is based on one of my favorite SF illustrators Angus McKie, who is a long time Heavy Metal artist. I built this model in two separate files, one contains the giant Spacewreck while the other file contains the dead preasursuited astronaught burried in the sand. Both models come highly detailed.

Spacewreck #3

This spacewreck has a tremendous amount of detail, the decaying pilot has ripped and ragged spacesuit with partial bones showing through while the instrument pannels of his cockpit are all hollowed out where dials and switches would have been. I had great fun creating this model and found that many different rust materials gave the model and infinite range of posibilities.

Spacewreck #2

Original illutration design by Tony Roberts, published in Stewart Cowley's "Spacewreck." I had a fair amount of guessing to do in the creation of this spacewreck so the back is not as detailed as the front of the model, I found the surface texture worked well with many settings as did playing with different skies in Bryce 5. Many renders were possible... now all I need is time ;-)

Spacewreck #1

This was the first in the Spacewreck series. The original illustration on which it is based, the wreck is purched ontop of ancient temple ruins. I was going to make the ruins as well but opted more for a detailed interior showing mangled bulkheads and engine parts.

Dead Astronaught for Spacewreck #4

For Spacewreck #4 I had created the dead astronaught in a presuresuit buried in the desert sands. The model has an extreme amount of detail and comes with it's own terrain base. Original illustration design by Angus McKie published in Stewar Cowley's "Spacewreck."

Damaged Mech Planetoid for K34-Bee

A damaged Mechanid planetoid for the Proxima Centari K34-Bee. Originally illustrated in "Spacecraft 2000 to 2100 AD" by Stewart Cowley, illustration origin design concept by Tony Roberts.

K34-Bee

Proxima Centari K34-Bee. Originally illustrated in "Spacecraft 2000 to 2100 AD" by Stewart Cowley, illustration origin design concept by Tony Roberts.

Spacewreck #5

Originally illustrated in "Spacecraft 2000 to 2100 AD" by Stewart Cowley, illustration origin design concept by Colin Hay. I put a fair amout of guess work into what some of the interior damage might look like as far as flooring, Command Module entry hatch and so on. Both the Suspension tower and wreck are abailable on Turbosquid Here —>.

Derelict Spaceport

This is my own Derelict Spaceport inspired by designs found in "Spacecraft 2000 to 2100 AD" and "Spacewreck" by Stewart Cowley. I borrowed little bits and pieces from a few different illustration by Angus McKie and Bob Layzell plus a few of my own ideas mixed in for good measure. The model is sold on Turbosquid Here —>. I made the textures after I had uploaded the model but did not feel it was fair to sell them separatly so I have made the Texture Pack Free! Here — >

Note: Be sure to look for the inluded Bonus Spacewreck included with the Derelict Spaceport.

Very Old Spacewreck

This is another of my own Spacewrecks inspired by designs found in "Spacecraft 2000 to 2100 AD" and "Spacewreck" by Stewart Cowley. I started off where I was just going to make a rusted out rib cage but just started adding a forward section and decaying thruster ports. The model is sold on Turbosquid Here —>.
