The 'Playing Grundo's Gym' tip has vapourized due to Neopets removing it from the site. I guess it was just too easy to make money once you had played it for a while.
Okay ever wondered how on earth people are getting all those NPs? Well here's the best way to do it!
First thing to do if you haven't already is to open a shop. Keep it small at first, maybe size 5 to start - increase it's size as your wealth grows. Next go to the shop wizard and buy items cheap like codestones, paint brushes, pet pets, bd items etc. The way to find cheap items is to do multiple searches. First type in the item you want to find then after the first search just press the 'F5' key to refresh and hit enter again. Do this about ten times to look for the best prices since the wiz rarely gives them to you on the first search. After you have bought some cheap items then sell them in you shop for what you saw to be the average selling price! This works for me. I can get over 20k a day doing this! Fairly simple, eh? Try it out!
Of course when you are a newbie you'll have to buy less expensive items and won't make as much profit at first but it won't take long for your neopoints to grow. Try to keep all your nps used in stock so they are always working for you. The bank pays diddly interest compared to what you can make selling stuff in your shop.
The Trading Post and Auction Board can be handled in similar fashion.
THE STOCK MARKET!
Many people have made muchos dólares buying and selling stocks but this is also a place that you can lose all of your nps if you don't know what you're doing. THIS HAS A HIGH RISK FACTOR SO TAKE CAUTION. If you want to buy shares in the stock market the concept is fairly simple: buy stocks that are cheap and always sell them after they have gone up some in value. Don't pay much over 15 NP per stock since this is now the lowest value that Neopets will allow you to purchase them at. Higher priced stocks have a much greater chance of dropping in value and you won't make as much profit if they do increase. Look for stocks that have not recently decreased because these are the most likely to rise in value in the near future. To look for a stock go to the 'Find Stocks' screen and click on the full list link (you can watch the ticker tape at the top of the screen but it will take longer to see all the stocks). Scroll down the list and look for cheap stocks that show some volume and are not falling in price. These are your best bet to buy if you haven't tracked any stocks over time. Stocks with no volume won't change in value. Read the news for tips about stocks that might be getting activity. The stock of the day is not necessarily a good buy since it has already had a good run and may not continue its rise. Also if Nigel ever appears as a random event and gives you stock advice you can be pretty sure it will happen so buy as much of the stock as you can. Ignore the message board postings since it is full of scammers (people trying to get you to buy the same stock they bought so it will go up in value). Watch your stocks' value as often as possible so you know when to sell them. Remember to always sell once they've had a reasonable gain a value. Don't hold out too long because 'what goes up must come down'. If you notice your stock starting to drop in value SELL out fast before it sinks too low. If your stock does drop to less than what you paid for them you must be patient since the inverse rule is always true on Neopets 'what goes down will eventually come up again' but they may take several weeks to turn around.
