Why Must We Stand Divided

All the hate and
bitterness
I don't understand
Why Americans stand divided
upon this precious land
For United We Stand
Divided We fall
Why can they not hear
our forefather's call
Those seeking a
better way
to America do make flight
For our Lady stands tall and proud
as a ray of hope and everlasting light
All those that prey
upon this land
will take advantage
of the un-united stand
This is the grandest
land of all
Why can't we join hands
and stand proud and tall
My beautiful America
I do so dearly love
Her foundation is built
upon our Father above
To once again hear in
school
our children free to pray
and One Nation Under God
in our Pledge to stay
It pains me so
for there to be any doubt
And in our public lives
they try to force Him out
Let's take our
brother's hand
and stand united and proud
let the world know
our demise won't be allowed
This country is ours
a gift from above
isn't it time we treated her
with respect and love?
