VENGEANCE
Try to find it in your heart
to help your fellow man
with all his trials and tribulations
or in any way you can
Christ said "love those who hate
you"
judge all men as you would yourself
forgive those who hate you
and in Heaven you will find great wealth
Please dear God, forgive us of our sins
as we do those who do us wrong
have mercy Oh Lord when we hate our brother
so to Thee we can again belong
It's hard for us as mortals
to understand Your forgiving way
and You have always ask us to forgive
so You will show mercy when we go astray
There is no sin You will not forgive
except those against the Holly Ghost
when once we come to say we're sorry
and only You we love the most
They say "an eye for an eye and a
tooth for a tooth"
but that is not what You have in mind
it is mercy to all so that we don't fall
and sight to us who are blind
We are blind with hate and vengeance we
seek
but mercy is what we should have for all
without mercy from God we'll be seeking the sword
and into hell we'd all surely fall
Vengeance is Mine, say'eth the Lord
and vengeance I'll have upon you
if vengeance you seek for your brother and kin
the same vengeance I'll bestow and do
Woe to those who know but do not do
for they will reap what they do sew
Your hate and vengeance for your fellow man
I your God have vengeance that you will know.
