This is actually the third, and best, FJ40 I’ve owned. I got hooked on
them while stationed at Ft. Bragg NC
while in the Army. A buddy had a grey 68 FJ40 that he just pounded on and
it kept going.
I finally bought my first one
while in college, a red ’75. Nothing fancy but the body was solid. I sold
it to stay in college. The next one was a definite fixer upper. A white
’78 that ended up with a 4” lift and 33” Goodyear
MT’s on old white spokes. I painted
the white spokes grey and added a trim ring and chrome lug nuts. I sold
it to help fund my wedding. This one was the truck of my dreams. V8,
33’s, Air Locker, full cage, gotta love it. Now
that the family is growing I’ll be letting it go.
