JULY 2nd, 2003: Welcome to the "Halls of Stonehenge" site! I've added five sections so far: the main page, story, enemies, weapons/items, and the news section. There will be a couple more coming up down the road, including "credits", "what is HOS", and some more helpful info. I'll try to update the news daily, but some little changes will probably be made from time to time without an update, so keep an eye out.

July 7th, 2003: Added some new images to the "Weapons and Items" section. Also updated some of the info there. Made some minor formatting changes to some of the text on a lot of the pages (woohoo!). Added the "What's New" section. Almost finished with texture development for HOS.

July 8th, 2003: Added GIF of "gargoyle" enemy. Added some images to "weapons/items" section. Added "credits" section to site. Also, added a Sarron picture "easter egg" link hidden somewhere on the site. :) Made some minor changes here and there.

July 9th, 2003: Added some rough screenshots to the "Diehard Wolfers" forum. You can view these at http://diehardwolfers.areyep.com/viewtopic.php?t=466&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=45 on the second post. Please cut and paste this link to view the string, as I do not want to link directly to the site. Enjoy! I have updated the "Enemies" page to give more "in-depth" description and detail of the enemies. Fixed the Cerberus and Death Breath GIFs(the old ones had serious issues).

July 10th, 2003: Added more screenshots at the "Diehard Wolfers" forum. Check the link above (you'll have to scroll a little further down the string to see the newer set of four). Scrapped the "Notes from the journal of Professor Reinstein" project that I was working on adding to this page. I figure the "Story" section tells it well enough. Begun work on importing the new sounds used for HOS (which is good...I'm tired of the zombies barking at me in the testing phases!)

July 11th, 2003: Added the "FAQ" section, with some questions I've been asked since I started working on HOS. If you have questions, feel free to send them to the email address mentioned on the first page of this site. If they're FAQ material, I might post them there.

July 14th, 2003: Added the "Other Hazards" section to the "Enemies" page. Depending on how things go, HOS may feature textured ceilings and floors rather than flat colors. Currently this is being discussed with my coder, and a definite "yes" or "no" to this feature is still forthcoming.

July 15th, 2003: Added the "Other Stuff" page to this site. I plan to put links to other pages and projects here, including sites by other wolfers upon request. Also, against my better judgement, I have made available to the public for the first time "Majikduke", a set of 6 difficult but fun levels, depicting my (and my brother's) efforts with the "Build" engine. Download them if you dare! Work on HOS progresses steadily.

July 18th, 2003: Sorry for the lack of updates lately. I've been busily working on HOS still, just haven't made many new changes to the site. It hasn't been confirmed yet, but it's possible I will be adding two new weapons to the game: the Voodoo Doll and the Magic Staff(name still not determined). This will all depend on what my coder is able to do, but if they do get added, it should add a cool new dimension (no pun intended!) to the TC! I'll be on vacation until July 28th, so there won't be anything added here until then.

July 28th, 2003: Well, I'm back from vacation, and more in need of one now than I was before I left! Anyway, I've added a "Levels" page to this site with brief descriptions of what you'll find in each stage. Mostly it's all just for fun, but you may find a few helpful clues in some of the descriptions, depending on how carefully you read them. The countdown to completion begins as the level design steadily progresses. I recently switched coders, so there's been a slight delay due to this, but nothing to worry about.

July 31st, 2003: I'm pleased to announce that the HOS project is now being run by a team, rather than just myself. Due to the monumental amount of work I found facing myself with 18 levels to build and so little time, I sought the help of a couple talented individuals to help with level design. I enjoy making levels, but after the work involved in the sprite and sound changes etc, I realized that no man (well, almost no man) can do it all himself. So now, in addition to my coder, there are two more people working on this project, doing level design. This is very good news, as the likelyhood that HOS will be coming out sooner rather than later is much higher now!

August 1st, 2003: Well, I added a link to another page I've designed, the project page for "Operation: Hundscheisse", a project I'm co-creating with Dumscheissekopf. The page isn't as complex as the HOS site, but it should tell you everything you need to know about the game. I can't guarantee when updates will be made on it, but check in every now and then just for the heck of it! :)

August 5th, 2003: Well, gang, it looks like the coding for HOS is about done, which was one of the biggest things remaining to be done. I've had a chance to play test some of the levels submitted by my team, and they blew me away! (literally AND figuratively!) I've added two new weapons to the "Weapons/Items" page...they're very cool, and should be a nice change of pace from the guns, as well as a challenge to find. Work begins on ceiling and floor textures, which it's been confirmed HOS will have for sure now. Look for a projected release date some time in the not so distant future!

August 6th, 2003: Want to see some better screenshots of the final version of the first levels of HOS? Well, who doesn't? You can check them out at the "Diehard Wolfers" forum by going copying and pasting this link into your browser, then scrolling down a little ways down the string...you'll know em when you see em! They can be found at http://diehardwolfers.areyep.com/viewtopic.php?t=466&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=75 Hope you enjoy them, and keep an eye out for more in the near future!

August 12th, 2003: Sorry about the lack of updates recently...the good news behind that is that it's been because I've been busily working on HOS, as have the rest of the project members. I've been testing some of the levels designed by the team members, and they continue to impress me! The music is coming along well, and the coding is pretty much finished. So far, about 13 of the levels have been completed, and are ready for the finished product. Get ready to go spook hunting, gang...it won't be much longer now! Also, there has been a massive update to the "Operation: Hundscheisse" page linked to this one...the sequel that will be designed back to back with the original OH is now covered on the page too! Check it out!

August 19th, 2003: Well, things have been busy and crazy lately, but thanks to the fact that HOS is being worked on by folks other than myself, things are still progressing nicely. For those of you who enjoy the HOS screenshots I put out there from time to time, you'll be pleased to know that a new set of six can be found at the Diehard Wolfers site. Just enter this link into your browser, and follow the string down a little bit to see them. http://diehardwolfers.areyep.com/viewtopic.php?p=7656#7656 Also, I've become a member at "modDB", a site that serves as a nesting place and info site for the most popular mods for the most popular games out there. I've just recently registered HOS on the site, but before too long, if all goes well, it will be listed with the others, and feature updates and screenshots as time goes on. You can visit the modDB site at http://www.moddb.com/. Well, that's about it for now! I'm getting ready to go test some of the final level designs for HOS, and have been working dilligently to complete the ones I'm doing myself. My dream is that before too long I'll have a solid completion date for HOS...now wouldn't that be nice? ;)

September 4th, 2003: Well, I've been busy lately. Between putting things together for HOS as they are contributed to me, and designing stuff for the "Operations: Hundscheisse" trilogy to be released after HOS, I've had little time to think about much else. There's been a lot of progress made on HOS, just not the type I'd post here! I updated the "FAQ" section of this site, and made some changes to the "Operation: Hundscheisse" page...the third in the series, "The Final Frontier", is now featured on the page as well! Enjoy!

September 12th, 2003: Well, the big news as of a couple days ago is the announcement of "Countdown to Chaos", a semi-sequel to "Halls of Stonehenge". You are an entirely different character, up against a legion of totally different enemies in a totally different time period, but if you check the story, you'll see the similarity. Expect it to be a good one when it comes out! Don't worry...attention needed to develop HOS is NOT being diverted toward this project...

September 19th, 2003: HOS is dangerously close to being complete! The coding is pretty much finished, and the last of the levels are being wrapped up as we speak. It's sad to say, but before too long, work on HOS will be done, and we'll be left with nothing to do but...well...play the game! There will be lots going on with the Hundscheisse projects and Countdown to Chaos after HOS, though, so keep an eye on them!

October 6th, 2003: Well, HOS is mere days away from being released for the testing phase. I must say that I'm sweating bullets trying to get everything perfect for my part before October 15th, but my team has done an awesome job of stepping up to the challenge of HOS, and fixing and tweaking things at the last minute to make them just right. There haven't been too many updates on this page in the recent past, but I did remove the "FAQ" section...I felt it was unnecessary at this point...and instead I added a link to "Monkee's Image World", another page of mine devoted to display of some of my other Wolfenstein related works. Certain boss characters seen on that page are available to be emailed to you if you are interested. Due to space requirements, they aren't currently available for direct download from the web, but I usually respond pretty quickly when a character is requested. That's it for now. HOS is almost here!!!

October 16th, 2003: The test version of HOS has been released to the testers, and hopefully will be analyzed fairly quickly. Depending on how many changes need to take place, a completed version of HOS could be avaiable for download within days! It's been a long time in the works, but the results should be worth it! Stay tuned!

STAY TUNED...
