In 1997 the Nintendo 64 was released in here in the UK. This is the biggest leap in technology for Nintendo as they moved from 2D to 3D games; the console produces 64bit picture quality, the most advanced in its time. 1998 saw arguably the finest games ever produced, Shigeru Miyamoto’s Legend of Zelda, Ocarina of Time was so popular that 325,000 copies were pre-ordered, a record that still stands firm in the Guinness Book of records for the most pre-ordered games.
Games to play:
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

The most pre-ordered game ever and you wont be surprised why after you play it, without a doubt the best game ever, if you haven’t played this game then you’re not a worthy gamer. Play as Link in medieval times and complete puzzles in some of the finest looking graphics of its time.
Donkey Kong 64

Arguably the biggest game on the N64, Play as Donkey Kong and rescue all of your golden bananas that have been stolen. A shocking £60 in its time but now it can be picked up for as little as £10, very worth it.
