- Talk about a Heavy Metal Parking Lot... No, but seriously, the contest was out of hand. Van Homan took home first place and the Fender guitar in pro street. Ryan 'Biz' Jordan took second. In the Heavy Metal Parking Lot, Biz pulled a truckdriver bunnyhop. In the comp, Biz touched a foot down on an opposite fufanu to downside tailwhip out. And best trick was a toss up between two riders, Mike Tag and Dennis Condusta. Mike Tag pulled an alley-oop wall tap to 540 out. Dennis Condusta pulled a truckdriver to x-up lander out of the mini into the sub. Both were amazing.
- It's unofficial, but we've heard that Rick Thorne may be riding for Free Agent after leaving Hoffman Bikes in January, and that Koji Kraft and Jimmy Walker may be joining the Hoffman team. Remember though, these are unofficial, unconfirmed rumours. Don't complain if they're not true. (It's just team changes anyway)
The UGP Roots Jam happened last weekend. Dave Mirra won, Alistair Whitton got second, Allan Cooke got third, Mike Aitken got fourth and Colin McKay got fifth. No word on the tricks or later placings though. Transworld BMX editor Keith Mulligan also displayed a photo exhibition during the Roots weekend.
Kink did a roadtrip down to Roots with the Props crew and Primo is doing a roadtrip after Roots with Props as well. These will be featured in future issues of Props as team roadtrips. Speaking of Props, Road Fools 9 is done. Get it! It's good. Speaking of videos, the Demolition video is done. Get that too! In fact, get both of those plus the Animal and FBM 'All Time Low' videos and you should be set for the year as far as videos go.
