Back when the central processing unit first started to strike it big in North America, there was no better place in the world to find processors then the San Francisco bay area. There were countless different chips being made, but three chips manufactures in particular stood out from the rest.
In the north lived VIA, west had
AMD, and in the southwest there was
Intel.
