Angel 5.19 - Time Bomb
This episode was like Buffy 7.19 (Empty Places). It's the one where Buffy gets kicked out of her own house. It doesn't really serve much purpose other than exposition for the final episodes. We spent the whole hour finding out that Illyria's powers will be greatly reduced and Angel seems to be doing what the Senior Partners want him to do. Other than that, The Apocalypse is still AWOL.

Funniest parts: Wes in his office acting all obsessive over Illyria; Lorne going in cognito and struggling with the walkie-talkie; Marcus Hamilton to Angel "This is a business, not a Batcave"; Harmony asking if the demons would like coffee, tea, or organic colas. Okay, so this episode was stingy on the zingers and comedy.

More jabs at CEOs: Marcus Hamilton going "Think profits! Profits profits profits!" I wonder if The WB execs know that was directed at them. Probably not.

Gunn comes back to stacks of files on his desk. But he doesn't do much other than freak out over Amanada signing demon pacts. And Angel ends up helping the demons. Even Wes was weird because he's Illyria's only friend. Spike didn't do much either. This episode was strange.

Yes. I know this was a pitiful entry. But nothing in mind sticks out even though I watched the episode less than 24 hours ago. Illyria's powers are more controllable now. And the powers Wes sucked up through that gun may become important. Angel has something up his sleeve. Got it. Go team.

Name: SariWarr, the God-King of RyeHell

Yeah, it was a weird hour of TV. But my brain cells were active in trying to keep up with the fragmented timeline. Lorne was the funniest thing about the whole episode. "Bluebird is in flight!" "Angel Ears, this is Secret Demon. Come in." "Do you copy ever?!"

But even when it's not funny-funny, it's still clever-funny.

"Cheeky mix. Little taekwondo, little Brazilian ninjitsu."
-Spike sussing out Leery's million-year-old moves

"Now might not be the best time for when-we-were-muck stories!"
-Angel to Leery

"Curing cancer, Mr. Wyndam-Price?"
"Wouldn't be cost-effective. I'm sure we make a lot from cancer."
"The patent holder is a client."
-Hamilton and Wes

"Rand and McNally will have to redraw their maps."
-Wesley's unconservative estimate of what would happen if Leery Chernobyls

They still have access to the powers the Mutari generator sucked out of Leery? I thought they were gone for good, into a "pocket universe".
