Se’ Athe’- The goddess of the earth, nature, and life. Se’ Athe’ embodies the land and its features, as well as fertility and natural death. Her symbol is a plain green disk. Se'Athe was the first mortal to ascend to godhood. Her race as a mortal has been lost to history.

Se' Athe always appears as a tall, slender human woman. Leaves fall from her hair and clothing as she moves. Her clothing is simple: sandals and rough sleeveless robes that match the color of her surroundings. Se' Athe has never manifested in an urban setting.

The temples and shrines of Se' Athe are simple places built of wood and natural stone, always located in a place where the elements of nature are in perfect harmony.

Preferred Weapons: Quarterstaff, scythe.

AL- TN Worshipers AL-Any Neutral. Most druids follow Athe.


Melkor- The god of strife, evil, corruption, and murder. Melkor’s ethos includes assassination, poison, betrayal, pain and its administration, and tyranny. His worshipers are generally fanatics, and work from the shadows to corrupt anything that is not under his dominion. His symbol is a bloody spiked chain.

Melkor manifests in many forms. The most common is as a halfling with clothes and skin smeared with ashes and dried blood. His eyes glow red or green. Talons dripping with blood tip his fingers, and his skin is crossed with countless scars. Melkor's very presence is venemous; when mortals are in his presence sores break out on their skin and bleed. Even his worshipers feel sick when in his proximity.

The temples to the Dark One are numerous and take many shapes. They range from enormous mulit-leveled temples of black rock to shrines in places of torture and at murder sites.

Preferred Weapons: Spiked chain, dagger, implements of torture.

AL- NE Worshipers AL- Any Evil


Etrusca- The god of strategy, warfare, guardians, and one of the Warring Twins. Etrusca’s ethos includes any organization of military forces, siege engines, and fighting for a good cause. Many of his followers are paladins and knights. Etrusca and his sister were humans in mortal life. His symbol is a gauntled fist on a blue background.

Etrusca appears as a tall human male clad in well-used yet well-maintained condition. Engraved into his armor are the the names of all heroes who have attained victory in his name against overwhelming odds.

Preferred Weapons: Longsword, morning star, lance.

AL- LG Worshipers AL-LG or LN, but most are paladins and good or neutral-aligned warriors.


Boudicca- The goddess of berserkers, savagery, rage, and crimes of passion. The second of the Warring Twins, Boudicca is the yin to Etrusca’s yang. Her worshipers refer to her as ‘The Beastlady.’ Boudicca’s ethos includes killing for survival, and the practice of ‘the strong can do whatever they want to the weak’. Her symbol is a howling wolf's head.

The Beastlady often appears as a huge Dire Wolf, its coat streaked with the blood of its many kills. Her eyes shine with a bestial green light when encountered in this manifestation. Her other form is that of a tall, muscular human woman with a mane of wild red hair. Her piecemeal armor is made from the hides of Dire Bears, and blood drips from her hair and talons as she moves.

Boudicca's temples and shrines are most often wild places such as open plains or deep forests. When in urban settings they are usually simple roofless buildings of stone.

Preferred Weapons: Club, spear, axe.

AL-CE Worshipers AL- Any chaotic neutral or evil, or embodiment thereof. Barbaric tribes who have raised brutal warfare to a religion and some groups of the militaristic Tarvins who survive in the wild north are her most devoted followers.


Teleri- The goddess of music, poetry, bards, and artistic expression. In mortal life, Teleri was an Elven bard. Her worshipers include bards and artists. Many elves pray to Teleri. Her symbol is a silver lute.

She of the Golden Voice manifests as an elf with glittering silver hair and eyes. Her clothing is colorful and always in the latest fashion of wherever she is encountered.

Temples of Teleri are colorful places filled with song. Usually found in urban settings, they are also gathering places for artists of all stripes.

Preferred Weapons: Scimitar, crossbow.

AL- TN Worshipers AL- Any. One can find artistry in almost anything.


Martina Longleaf- The goddess of the forest and of rangers. In mortal life, Martina was an Elven ranger. Her worshipers include elves, foresters, and rangers. She is also the patron of Wood (Sylvan) Elves. Her symbol is a longbow against a green background, and most of her worshipers are skilled in that weapon’s use.

The Lady of the Wild appears as a Sylvan Elf of medium height. Her clothing and leather armor are green and brown, and her skin is crossed with green tattoos. She also appears as various normal animals with green eyes.

Temples and shrines to Martina are built anywhere her free-spirited followers have asked for her blessings. A few temples are built in small towns and villages, the vast majority can be found in the wilderness.

Preferred Weapons: Longbow, longsword.

AL- CG Worshipers AL- Any good


Ma'Estra- The goddess of thieves, shadows, deceit, and trickery. Her followers are masters of disguise and deception, and most are rogues. Her symbol is a glowing pair of green eyes on a black background. In mortal life Ma'Estra was a half elf, and many of that race hold her in reverence.

AL- NE Worshipers AL- NE, LE, LN, CN, CE


Niye- The goddess of knowledge, scribes, sages, and history. Niye’s followers are the keepers of Vinifera’s knowledge and history. Her symbol is a white quill.

Niye appears as a human woman in plain brown robes and carrying a huge tome with wooden covers. All knowledge of mortals is inscribed in the tome, the result of centuries of research by her followers.

Temples of Niye are libraries in urban settings. Use of the knowledge they hold is available to any who desire it.

Preferrred Weapons: Sling, short sword.

AL- TN Worshipers AL- Any except C.


En’Ath- The god of commerce and wealth. En’Ath’s ethos includes merchants, trade, and any form of commerce and money. His symbol is a gold coin.

The Lord of Trade appears as a tall, portly human male with gray hair and beard, dressed in bright green robes trimmed with gold. Around his waist are pouches filled with every type of currency used by mortals.

Temples of En'Ath are also places of business where trades and purchases can be made by anyone. They are opulent edifices of stone, usually located in trade centers and ports.

Preferred Weapons: Dagger, short sword.

AL- LN Worshipers AL- Any: almost everyone wants to be rich in some way.


Ralaia- The goddess of magic. Ralaia sustains the ebb and flow of magical energy that abounds on Vinifera. Her ethos includes magic and magic craft in all forms. Ralaia is also the patroness of the Lanyrri (Gold) Elves. Most of her worshipers are Lanyrri, or sorcerers, mages, and bards. Her symbol is a wooden staff against a silver background.

The Queen of Magic takes any form she wishes, but most often appears as an elven woman with golden hair and skin. She wears robes that are dark blue; every enchantment known to mortals are embroidered on them.

Temples to Ralaia range from simple altars in villages to great stone structures in the largest cities on Klondathera. They are places of study; magic users of any stripe are welcome to enter and exchange information with others.

Preferred Weapons: Quarterstaff, sling, dagger.

AL- LN Worshipers AL- Any


Cheven- The god of craft and nonmagical artifice. His ethos includes inventions, mathematics, and mechanics. Cheven was a gnome in mortal life, and most of his followers are from that race. His symbol is two interlocked silver gears.

Cheven appears as a balding gnome wearing a leather apron and stained work clothes. He wears belts dangling with tools and numerous pouches full of gears, springs, and other miscellaneous junk. On his forehead is perched a small lamp, and around his neck hangs a pair of goggles.

Temples to the Gearlord are masterpieces of wierd architecture. The interior space is taken up by comples machines and various inventions made by his worshipers.

Preferred Weapons: Warhammer, anything with moving parts.

AL- TN Worshipers AL- Any


Thrain- The god of the forge. Thrain embodies creation, and his ethos includes metalworking, armament, and construction. Thrain was a dwarf in mortal life, and he is the patron of that race. His symbol is a steel hammer.

Thrain appears as a burly mountain dwarf with a huge red beard, red hair in braids, and dressed in fine mithril chain mail. His helmet is decorated with a ring of teeth ripped from the mouths of giants

Thrain's temples are workshops and forges built in the cavern homes of his people. The few built in human population centers are vaulted buildings of masterful stonework.

Preferred Weapons: Spear, battle axe, warhammer.

AL-TN Worshipers AL- Any


Keena- Keena is the god of gnolls, and many other humanoids worship him as well. Keena is represented in many varied forms depending on which race is referring to him. As such, his following is huge, but due to their various beliefs and ways of life are broken up into small sects. Keena embodies savagery, strength, and tribal life. His symbol is unique to each tribe or shaman that pays him homage.

Keena appears as a huge specimen of whichever race of follower he is appearing to. When manifesting to non-worshipers he is a huge gnoll with blood-streaked fur and fangs. His eyes shine with silver light.

Keena's temples are built in each settlement of his followers, and take numerous shapes.

Preferred Weapon: Spear, battle axe, mace.

AL-LN Worshipers AL- Any Humanoid


Jahalaira- Recently freed from the Soulwell in the Chamber of the Calling Stone by the Heroes, Jahalaira has assumed the mantle of patron deity of the Brown Elf race. She Ascended after saving the heroe's lives in the explosion resulting from the fracturing of the Calling Stone. Her fledgeling worship is extending itself to other races of elves and many humans, as well as quite a few weaponsmiths, arcane craftspeople, and armorers (For examples of Jahalaira's mortal work please refer to the 'Artifacts and Magical Items' page). Her symbol is a pair of iron shackles with broken clasps to signify her newfound freedom from the Soulwell.

Jahalaira appears as a diminutive brown elf with black eyes and dressed in simple gray robes. She always carries a black staff inscribed with the names of all the Brown Elves who were imprisoned in the Soulwell.

As a newcomer to godhood, Jahalaira has very few temples. Those that do exist have been recently converted to fit that purpose.

Preferred Weapons: Bow (any), longsword.

AL- CG Worshipers AL- Any non-evil.


All the existing gods of Vinifera were raised from mortals. As mortals, they embodied the ideals that each upheld. Though they are immortal, they can cease to exist when their level of worship drops too low.
