Community Walking
Walking has numerous health benefits. Walking manages your weight, controls your blood pressure, prevents type 2 diabetes, reduces the risk of heart attck, lowers the risk of stroke and overall increases health benefits needed specifically for your particular body. It also decreases depression and has been shown to increase lifespan!
A steady walking routine is the most important factor in receiving these benefits. Getting out to walk alone can be challenging. Sign up for our walking groups for group inspiration.
During our walks you will be able to maintain a conversation. Your breathing rate will increase as a B1 walk leader will keep a brisk pace yet you will not be short of breath. The walk leader will lead you in a short warm up and cool down.
Decide to take this opportunity to get moving, get outside, get to know you’re your body. Your first steps will not be “the hardest” you will have a partner in your B1 walking leader with joy and enthusiasm to hit the pavement together.
