The Amulet
Introduction:

A dark, cloaked figure ran threw the old, ancient woods. The moon was out, nice and full, bearing out many stars in the black night. The ground was a pitch black, and everything was dead silent. The figure tripped over a hidden rock. The cloak’s hood flew back revealing a young girl. She was plugged into thick, wet mud. When she came back up her body was caked in the wet dirt. She quickly recovered and kept on running. She skipped over a small, shallow creek easily and a few big, fallen branches. The girl saw out of the corner of her eye another shadowy figure join her side on the left. The girl could tell the figure was hurt for he was limping while he ran. Her soft golden eyes pierced the black night; she saw easily that he was bleeding at the leg.

They both ran on ahead, as fast as they both could, but she wasn’t going to leave the wounded man behind. The girl saw an opening to her right in the dark forest; her eyes saw the open field. She made a mad dash for the open valley, ready to be clear of the dangerous woods. They both found it was a trap. A small hoard of evil creatures surrounded them; goblins, low class demons and other stray creatures. A dark faced man came forth from the ambush. The cloaked figure to the left of the girl pulled down his hood, revealing his was much more dangerous than anyone there, he was a demon mage. His skin was a light blue and he had sliver markings on his face, and many more hidden beneath his cloak and armor. His hair was a straight, dark black and his eyes were a night blue. The girl looked up at him in fright, not for the way he looked but for him. The other man stepped closer.

“Bayamormaru” he hissed to the blue demon. The girl looked hard at him, he too was a mage, but a human one. “I hear you have a fairy amulet, very rare, very valuable and very powerful.”

“I have to such thing.” Stated Bayamormaru firmly and without fear.

“I doubt that” said the human mage. He gave a hand signal and the nearest demon took hold of the girl. Bayamormaru stiffened at the sight. “I know of your feeling for this one.” Laughed the human mage heartlessly.

“Firy mo?te fyi” Shouted the girl. The demon that was holding her burst into a thousands of little red flames, he let out a blood freezing screech as he turned into ash. “I am not defenseless.” Said the girl.

“I can see that” the human mage hissed noting to himself she was no average girl. “Against a lone low class demon, but what about a full skilled mage?” Said the man stepping towards the girl. Bayamormaru immediately stepped between them.

“No there will be none of that tonight. You want the amulet, fine take it” Said Bayamormaru.

“Baya… no… don’t” said the girl.

“Quite” Bayamormaru ordered. “You are more important to me than some amulet.” The girl was crushed; they had worked so hard to get the amulet only to give it away. Bayamormaru pulled out the amulet form one of his many pockets. As he was preparing to toss it and quickly turn with speed only a demon could use and tossed the amulet to the girl. “FLY!!” he yelled. The girl caught the beautiful amulet and a barrier formed around her as wings sprouted from her back.

“So she is a dragon” thought the human mage to himself. The girl took flight at lighting speed, but hesitant to leave Bayamormaru behind. “After her!!” yelled the human mage. A few hawk demons and pixies took flight. Once the girl was high enough she looked down, Bayamormaru was gone, she was glad he had escaped, but she also saw the creatures coming after her. She rose higher into the night, near the moon. She turned around once the amulet was strung around her neck. She waited until the nearest demon was almost upon her, she held out her hand and released her dragon fire. The demon fell out of the sky as a fireball and ash.

“Come to me near the base of Koki Mountain” the girl heard Bayamormaru say to her through their thoughts. She instantly started to fly towards the mountain, flying into the thick woods to lose her enemies. When she felt they were gone she came out of the forest and to the mountain. In a few minutes she saw Bayamormaru in the open valley right before the mountain. She landed beside him and her wings disappeared. She heard a commotion behind her and she saw demons upon demons and pixies flowing out of the woods. Bayamormaru wave his hand and a portal appeared.

“Go” he softly said.

“STOP THEM!!” they heard the human mage yell.

“Go through the portal now” said Bayamormaru this time more firmer.

“But… Baya…” said the girl with tears streaming down her face.

“Go, I will find you, I promise.” He said

“Bye Baya” said the girl turning her back to him and stepping through the portal.

“I love you RruRinn” Bayamormaru said, to softly for anyone to hear. RruRinn was plugged into darkness.
