The idea behind my business is to provide high-quality restoration to interior woodwork and hardware so that the owner can enjoy attractive, charming and functional interior spaces-and with reduced maintenance needs in the future, mainly by eliminating the painting game that gums up windows, doors, and cabinets. My first experience at renovation allowed me to get totally involved in historic interior renovation. I found the work interesting, since I liked old things to begin with. I soon discovered that my careful labor could save money and time, and provide a good fit when finishing an interior room's windows, woodwork, and mechanical pieces.
I am seeking business opportunities anywhere in Oregon in the total renovation of old building and home interiors, especially when the owner desires to have as much originality as possible. Most of the work that I perform is best done early in the project, before the painting, floor finishing and carpeting are done. I feel qualified to do the following jobs:
Detaching and transporting molding and doors to one of the DEQ licensed stripping centers to strip paint and varnish from wood
Staining and varnishing molding and doors for lasting protection and good looks
Refitting molding, knobs, latches and locks for best fit and function. Some repair
Polishing brass, steel and glass pieces to shining brilliance
Un-sticking and totally refurbishing sash windows with
new ropes and weather strips
Pane replacement and re-glazing of older, weathered windows
