Cheat

Info:
A card game where cheating can be the key to winning! The objective of the game is to get rid of all your cards before your opponents. You can even cheat, but be careful if you are found out you get all the cards into your hand! Not a game for those goody-two-shoes. If you want a trochee in your user lookup, this is the easiest game to play to get one!

How to Play:
When you start a game you are faced with three opponents. All of you have 13 cards. It is always your go first. To play your cards simply click on them, you can select up to four. By the rules you can only choose multiple cards if they are the same value (ie. 2 aces, four 8s etc), however in this game rules can be broken. Select your cards and in the drop-down menu below them choose what cards they are - this is what you are telling the opponents. Of course the cards you select do not have to be this value. In the beginning you can say your cards are of any value, but for the rest of the game you can only go the same value, one higher or one lower than the CLAIMED (what the opponents are saying the cards are) cards played by the opponent before you. At any time during an opponent's turn you can accuse them of cheating or let them slide.

If you accuse them and you are correct you win NP and the accused gets all the cards in the pile added to their hand. If you accuse them and you are wrong, you get all the cards added to your hand.

Likewise at anytime during your go, one of the opponents can accuse you of cheating. If you are not cheating, they get the pile added to their hand. If you are cheating, you get the pile added to your hand.

If the pile is taken right before you go, you will find it is your turn and no cards in the pile, when this happens you can choose what value to play your cards.*

You lose if one of the opponents loses all their cards before you do. You win if you are the first to lose all cards. When you win you will earn NP and can move on to the next round, where the opponent with the most cards left leaves and a more advanced player takes his/her place. As you go up in the rounds, the new player may accuse you more, and be more tactile with his cheating. Yes this game requires TACT to cheat successfully.

At different levels in the game, when you win enough rounds, you will earn a trophy. First a bronze, then silver, and Gold when you win the game completely. Oh yeah, on higher rounds the amount of NP you earn by correctly accusing others goes up, and so does the amount you win at the end of the round.

Methods of Cheating:
Like I said before cheating may require some tact. Throughout the game it is best if you do stick to being truthful. You will lose your cards quicker than cheating all the time, trust me. If you are always cheating, you earn cards because the opponents are guaranteed to accuse you often. So, if they do accuse you while you are playing it straight, they earn cards and you lose them. Cheat only when you have to. If you have no other cards to play, then choose one or two and cheat, never ever choose three or more cards if you are cheating. The more cards you select the more likely they will accuse you. If you only use one or two cards, they are more likely to let you slide. You can also trick the opponents into falsely accusing you, say you have two kings: first select two different cards and say they are kings. You may get away with that. On your next go, if you can, select the two kings again and say they are kings. The opponents will find that suspicious and so may accuse you - but you are being truthful so they will earn the pile. This does not always work, though and becomes less likely to as you advance in the game.

*= in this situation you can cheat effectively. Choose any two cards that are "lone" (you only have one of that value), and pass them off as two of the same kind. Because you are able to select any value, and because you are only playing two or less cards, the opponents are most likely to let you slide.

If you notice that an opponent has hardly any cards left, or hardly any, then accuse them of cheating, this way, they will not win. I strongly recommend you to do this.

Accusing:
The key to earning a lot of NP from the game does not rely on winning the round, it is to accuse opponents and be right. This can be hard, as you never tell what cards the opponents are playing. The key to successful accusations lies in keeping track of what cards are played and put in the pile, and which opponent gains those cards back. For example if you know Chuffer bob played two aces, then you can assume that the Pile holds those cards. If Kalora makes an accusation on Chuffer bob and is wrong, then you know for a fact that Kalora has at least those two aces. So if branston later claims to put down three aces, you know he's cheating because Kalora gained those two aces. Accuse and earn. To be right most times it is a very - brilliant even - good idea to use a pad and pen. Write down your cards (eg. 3K means 3 kings, 2A means two aces while 'one 2' can mean you have one card with a value of two. and so on), and then jot down what cards are played by you or others, what cards are earned by accusations and so on. This keeps tracks of the cards, and you can then make better decisions as to whether the opponent is being truthful and you can accuse or let slide.

Keeping track like this also helps in cheating.
