History

This car was built on January 3rd, 1967 as number 214. The car was then transported to Fuller Ford in Cincinnati, Ohio. This car was first purchased by a member in the Air Force. The car spent its time in Hawaii for a short time and then sent down to central Florida. That is where my brother, Ken Friddle first saw the advertisement in the newspaper. He went to talk to the guy, and he gave him alittle more of the history. This car was owned by the Air Force guys wife that he met down in Hawaii. She first had taken out the original 428 and put in a little 289 "better for gas mileage". When the man married her he had to find another 428 to put in the car. They decided to sell the car so they could fix up their California Special. My brother drove the car from Tampa all the way home to Dundee, Florida. He drove it for about 4 weeks and decided to tear it down for the next 13 years. It then spent its time in a reefer semi trailer as "storage". My brother turned down many people saying that it wasn't for sale and that his son was going to restore it.

My brother offered me the car and without hesitation, I bought it. I then sent my son, Cameron down to Florida and clean it up so they could bring it down here. The car was brought down on a U-Hall trailer by my nephew, Rick Friddle, and arrived on June 2000 in Utah.

Through a long restoration its here and looking beautiful and one heck of a car. This car was restored by Mustang Ranch in Murray, Utah.
