Check out the rules for Tae Kwon Do before you sign up for it and if you're already signed up then you better listen to these rules. These rules were mostly made by the U.S. Tae Kwon Do Center. It's for safety, discipline, to become a better person in the Tae Kwon Do and at home, and a chance for us to have fun and learn. We're not strick on these rules but please follow and listen to them. Those who constently abuse these rules will be punished.
Basic Rules for TKD
1. Students must come 10 minutes before class.
2. Students must check attendance card.
3. Students must not wear jewelry or chew gum.
4. Students must respect instructors at all times. (Not saying yes sir or yes mam when answering to an instructor or black belt will be given push ups.)
5. Everyone should remove his her shoes in the dojang unless it is TKD shoes. Do not wear TKD shoes outside.
6. Always bow entering and leaving the dojang.
7. Students must bring saftey equipment during exams and sparring classes. Always wear TKD uniform and belt when taking TKD classes.
* Any rules broken will be given push ups.
Student Oath
1. I shall observe the tenents of Tae Kwon Do.
2. I shall respect the instructor and seniors.
3. I shall never misuse Tae Kwon Do.
4. I shall be a champion of freedom and justice.
5. I shall build a more peaceful world.
Student Creed
1. I will develope myself in a positive manner and avoid anything that would reduce my mental growth or my physical health.
2. I will develope self-discipline in order to bring out the best in myself and others.
3. I will use what I learn in class constructively and defensively: to help myself and my fellow person and never be abusive or offensive.
Student Rules and Regulations
1. Whenever entering or leaving the DOJANG (the Tae Kwon Do), execute a bow of respect to the displayed national flags.
2. Execute a bow of courtesy upon meeting an instructor or higher belt.
3. Remove shoes upon entering the DOJANG. Shoes are not to be worn on the training floor, except for the Tae Kwon Do shoes. Socks are not to be worn either.
4. Avoid bring valuables to class.
5. The DOBOK (uniform) must be clean and complete at all times.
6. Remove all jewelry prior to engaging in all training.
7. Observe a high degree of personal cleanliness. Toenails and fingernails should be kept trimmed to avoid injuring other students.
8. Each class will have a formal opening and closing ceremony consisting of a bow to the national flags and the instructor(s).
9. Strict attention is to be given to the instructor(s) at all times Conversion is to be kept to a minimum during class.
10. Proper respect will be displayed to all persons holding higher rank.
11. Profanity, loss of temper, horseplay, loud laughing and talking, or any display of a lack of self-discipline will not be tolerated.
12. There will be no smoking, gum chewing, ingestion of liquids, lounging against the walls or on the floor while wearing the DOBOK, or anywhere within the DOJANG or reception area.
13. All students should be on time for classes. Those who arrive early for a class should take the opportunity to do warm-up exercises, stretching, or to practice their POOMSES (forms).
14. Students should practice only those POOMSES which they have been taught to them by the instructor(s). They should not try to skip ahead by observation of higher belts.
15. Do not complain about strenuous conditions.
16. Free sparring is not allowed without permission from the instructor(s).
17. The title of MISTER followed by the applicable last name will be used to address all instructors. When using Korean, address the Master as SAH BUM NIM and the instructors as KYO SAH NIM.
18. U.S. Tae Kwon Do Center techniques are not to be applied out of the DOJANG unless circumstances involving your safety or the safety of others are overriding.
19. During the class, the sound of clapping hands will indicate that all activity is to cease immediately.
20. Every student is subject to the school's rules and regulations. Noncompliance will result in the following penalties:
*Warnings
*Reduce of test scores or denial of permission to test.
*Temporary suspension of membership.
21. An excessive number of warnings or suspensions will result in permanent termination of school membership without refund of membership fees.
22. Parents are not interfer with the class or students training or problems unless it is personal problems. Please leave it to the instructors and masters to deal with the problems.
Tae Kwon Do Tenents
1. Courtesy - A courteous behavior, act or expression.
2. Integrity - Total honesty and sincerity.
3. Perseverance - To keep at something in spite of difficulties, opposition or discouragement. (Never give up).
4. Self-Control - To control oneself.
5. Indomitable Spirit - Never fail to achieve one's goal. (An ongoing spirit).

Children Home Rules
1. Children must show respect to their parents and family members at all times.
2. Children shall greet their parents when they enter the house and tell them good-bye when they leave.
3. Children will be truthful at all times.
4. Children will maintain a good relationship with their brothers and sisters.
5. Children must help with household chores.
6. Children will keep their own room neat and clean.
7. Children must keep their body, hair, and teeth clean at all times.
8. Children will not interrupt adult conversations.
9. Children will study their schoolwork at school and at home.
10. Children must show respect for teachers and peers at all times.
(Children who do not obey their parents may be reduced in rank (or punished by their parents).
Advanced Student's Code of Honor
1. Respect each other.
2. Be honest.
3. Be patient with others.
4. Help each other.
5. Always stand by the weak.
6. Be loyal to yourself and family.
7. Obey and be loyal to your instructor(s).
8. Be loyal to your dojang.
Ten Commandments of Tae Kwon Do

4. Be on good terms with your brother or your sister.

8. Use good judgment before killing any living thing.
