AUTHOR'S NOTE: As always this is the typical standard "do not own notice". The only characters I can lay any claim to are Orrin, Emily Talon, Raelynn, and Liana. The others are just borrowed, and also KMA is on a game that I do not own, I am just involving it. Thank you!

~ There are no more torches lit…No more sounding of trumpets in the morning…No more laughter except of those whose ghosts remain…No more meetings in the grand hall thanks to the war of Chaos and Order…No one stays but me and this memory…I now carry the knowledge of what was, what will, and what will never be again….And this legacy is now with me and those I have gathered to lead it on to a new age…But to know the future we must also know the past as well……~ ****************************************************************

MARCH 8

Laughter fills the hall these days, No war has been called against us surprisingly. And no valiant battles have been fought as if late. Just relaxation…or so I thought as of this morning…

“Liana!”

“What mother?” I screamed back at my dear mother, Emily Talon, who was for some reason the busiest person around this morning.

“ Can you watch your sister for me today?” She asked, but yet somehow I had the feeling it was more of a command than a question.

I sighed and yelled my reply,” I guess!” And with that I bolted from my third floor room, on the hunt for my little sister, Raelynn. For some odd reason I had this deep sinking feeling in my stomach telling that today was going to be very, very long and was not going to be good at all either….and I was right.

I eventually caught up with Raelynn at the top of the Tower of the Tournaments, not too far from my sleeping quarters. She just grinned her usual evil and malicious grin.

“Hehehe want to play tag with me sis?” She sneered in a very fun-loving fashion.

I just growled,” Not particularly.” I crossed my arms over my chest and leaned against the door, hoping she’d see it my way. And, of course, in true fashion of younger siblings, she didn’t.

“Well that’s too bad! Catch me if you can!” And with that she was off on the run, me hot on her heels.

We took off down the tower steps, all over the keep and eventually ended up in the nearby forest, of which I knew very well considering I spent most of my time there. This place was not a good setting to end up at, my gut told me. I looked everywhere for Raelynn, then finally an idea struck.

“Raelynn I’m leaving! You’re on your own!” I ran a little ways off and jumped up in a local Elm tree. Soon, I heard her footsteps and cries.

“Liana! I’m sorry! Please where are you?” Then she fell to her knees shaking and crying. I decided to let the kid off the hook and jumped down from my nearby perch.

“Raelynn you know this isn’t our territory! Come on let’s go home!” I picked her up. Rumble My instincts told me I should run, once again I was right. A group from the faction we had just warred with, Chaos, came blazing through the area, heading towards the keep. I knew if I was to make it back alive and with Raelynn I had to go now. So I headed through the back way, around the traps the guild had set up to prevent stalkers and soon enough I saw the Keep of the Knights of Minas Anor.

Raelynn and I both flew through the backdoors yelling at the top of our lungs,” MOM! DAD! WE GOT COMPANY!”

“We know we know! They are already here, but they want peace between the factions Order and Chaos,” our father, the Illustrious Lord Orrin, said sounding rather reassured. Deep down, I had this bad feeling that if trouble were to start, this would be the first step.

I looked up the stairs and there was the one man I was worried about seeing, the one I had been betrothed too. Shaton Linson. A smug look on his face told me what he was up to. He was after me again, since becoming so obsessed with me that he couldn’t see straight. But for some reason his eyes said there was another reason he was here. Just what? ****************************************************************

MARCH 15

A week has passed by. Unbelievable as it may seem, it has been one week since the representatives from the Chaos faction arrived. Talk has been floating about the faction trying to befriend KMA and then destroying us from the inside out. Wouldn’t doubt it honestly, but this wasn’t all I had this sincere feeling in my heart.

‘They want to take over all the guilds and factions in the world and then destroy the world,’ I figured, ‘ But I could be wrong.’ I looked to my right and in the darkness I saw Shaton.

“Hello Liana,” he bowed.

“Shaton, “ I said rather displeased, especially realizing he was a mage and therefore could read my thoughts, “What do you want?”

“Why, you know what I want. Just to be with you,” he took my hand and before he could kiss it I tore it out of his grip, “My, my you have grown stronger since we last met.”

My face twisted in disgust, remembering that night when I thought I loved him. Lord how I wish I could forget that night!

“I have been working out, hunting, and helping the men with the work. You know I can’t stand to do too much feminine work,” I grimaced at him. He just laughed.

“You always have been like that. Well I let you be now that I’ve gotten a chance to say hello. Till next we meet!” And he vanished into the darkness.

‘That has to be the most insufferable man I have ever had the bad luck to meet!’ I screamed mentally. I heard a chuckle.

‘I heard that!’ He busted in hysterical laughter.

‘GO AWAY!’ And with that I put a mental block between me and him. Man this was going to be a long period of time with him around.

MARCH 30

Dear lord! Fifteen days since I last wrote! So much has happened! Now it’s not just a rumor anymore! War has been threatened against Knights of Minas Anor and the Faction of Order!

‘It is no longer safe here!’ I think as I look out at the moon, ‘ What is that…….fire! Arrows of fire!’ I go running to the main hall.

“What is happening??” I look at my mother, father, sister, and the rest of the council.

“Was has been declared upon us, “ My mother and father walk up to me as I notice Raelynn carrying a knapsack that looks as if it is about to bust,“ You and Raelynn can no longer stay here. The reason why Shaton was brought along is that we have been keeping constant contact with him and told him of our fears. He has pledged both of your safety and has offered to be an escort to the destination we discussed.” I saw Shaton ride up on a black stallion with a brown Mustang in tow.

“What!! NO!! We can’t!” Someone was putting my knapsack, which had apparently been packed by my lady in waiting, Talena, and someone else was pushing Raelynn and I on the horse.

“ The legacy of this guild and the Faction of Order can not die with you two! You will be needed as time goes on! Now go! And remember everyone here will be with you both always and we love you!”

With that they smacked the back ends of the horses and we rode off. We turned around just in time to see the keep go up in an explosion.

“MOM! DAD! EVERYONE!” I flew from my horse, as Raelynn was crying, and attempted to run back. But Shaton stopped me.

“Liana! This is how it must be! The legacy is left with you!” He gathered me in his arms as I wept.

‘Now it is up to Raelynn and myself to carry this on…. gather new people, fight this war, and protect the world from Chaos…’

The End....

...for now...
