Spinning Wheels, Looms and Such
This page is being continuosly updated
Just a few of the wheels and looms....

This is a loom that was given to me in a box. That's right, a BOX. No labeling, nothing. It is very very old and somewhat fragile, and obviously home-made. It was given to me by a retired lady whose very very elderly parents had given it to her. As you can see, I did manage to put it together!
This is my LeGare Canadian Production wheel, right out of the shipping box. I had wanted one of these for a long time, they are a joy to work with and you can spin an amazing amount of thread in a short time because of the 30-inch drive wheel. It is made of solid sugar maple - note too, the ornate cast iron foot treadle.
