This is an interesting poem. I say this because it was my attempt at writing something with a relevant message. However it was inspired by a cartoon show... thats silly... but Trigun is SWEET!!!

"For love"
Said the Priest
To the Gunman
"And peace"
Said the Gunman
To the Priest
As they stood
Side by side
At the crossroads
While assassins took aim

Gunfire broke
Chaos bloomed
As paths crossed
The Priest
Turned killer
Citing the book
As he cried
"God have mercy"
On their blood-soaked souls
The gunman
Sat quietly
Peacefully
Praying
For the fighting to stop

They have fought so long
For freedom
Searched so long
For paradise
How many have they killed
In the name of God?
How many must die
For the common good?

They searched all over
This barren land
Ever hunting
Ever fighting
In their quest
For Zion
Always it lingered
At the tip
Of their barrels
Just out of grasp
Only when
Guns are holstered
Can paradise beheld
