There are numerous walks in the area, footpath signs abound,
you can take a gentle stroll or a strenuous hike.
Nant Gwernol is the starting point for many walks as there is no road access
the walks take you through unspoilt woodland, past mountain waterfalls and the ruins of the Bryn Eglwys slate quarry.
- Abergynolwyn village nestles in the valley have a drink or bar snack at the local pub or a cup of tea at the station,
this stop is the starting point for forest walks.Stop off at Dolgoch Falls, the lower falls are easily accessible,
but a little more time and effort is needed to reach the middle and higher falls, many of the footpaths
have recently been renovated.
