There are numerous types of activities to occupy the whole family, whether you enjoy fishing or are more energetic and prefer sightseeing on a bicycle, there are mountain walks or for railway enthusiasts there is the Talyllyn Railway, based at Tywyn just over 2 miles away it has a narrow gauge line using steam locomotives and is run by the Talyllyn Railway Preservation Society formed in 1950 and the first such organisation in the world. The Ffestiniog and the Welsh Highlands Railways are within 40 miles.

Bird watchers can visit a local beauty spot that hosts a varied selection of birds and the local lakes are also an excellent attraction that should not be passed by without viewing.

The area also hosts Motor Cycle Racing at Tonfanau circuit several times a year.
