SCRC INDIANA STATE RALLY 2004
===================================================
June 4th - 6th, 2004:
SCRC Indiana STATE RALLY
Indianapolis, IN
The Miracle Ride for Riley Children's Hospital will soon be here, and with it, our 2nd Annual Southern Cruisers Indiana State Rally! which is held in conjunction with the Miracle Ride based at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Last year we had a great turnout, this year I expect even more Southern Cruisers members, MUCH BETTER WEATHER, and a few "Southern Cruisers Only" events.
The dates for the 2004 Miracle Ride is Saturday, June 5th for the Poker Run(s) and Sunday, June 6th is the parade past Riley's Children's Hospital and then the Lap around the Indianpolis 500 track (Brickyard 400). We will have our meet and greet Friday night June 4th for anyone who comes in that evening at the SCRC Tent City.
Friday June 4th, 2004: The SCRC "Tent City" will be erected on the South side of 16th Street, across from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. We will have a large 16x20 dining style tent set up for shade, as well as a place to set the coolers! Camping is free, but I am unaware of any shower facilities, so bear that in mind! Anyone wishing to send a tent, or any other camping equipment to me in Indy is welcome to. We can transport the items to the camping area and have it waiting for you when you arrive. I can also ship the items back to you after the events. Volunteers are needed and welcome!
Anyone NOT wishing to camp, can make reservations at these close by hotels:
Indianapolis Motor Speedway Brickyard Crossing Resort & Inn - (317)241-2500
Dollar Inn - 0.2 miles SW - 6331 Crawfordsville Rd, Indianapolis - (317)248-8500
Super 8 - 0.2 miles NW - 2610 N High School Rd, Indianapolis - (317)291-8800
Red Roof Inns - 0.4 miles W - 6415 Debonair Ln, Indianapolis - (317)293-6881
Be sure to mention that you are coming into town for the Riley Children's Hospital Miracle Ride, and ask for a discount! No need to mention the SCRC, because have not contacted any of them for group rates. Last year I tried that, but we did not get enough reservations to secure the discount rate.
