Remembering Darrell Allen Ride POSTPONED TO MAY 2nd - RAIN DATE
A Central Indiana Vulcan Riders Association (CIVRA) ride
Yes it has been two years April 12th, the day that has been forever etched in everyones mind that knew Darrell Allen. For those who were not around back then Darrell was killed when a car pulled out in front of us while riding a Covered Bridge route on one of our a spring rides. It's time again to celebrate his life with a remembering Darrell ride each April. Like last year we will visit the crash site then make our way down south to the grave site on some of Indiana's most scenic back roads, if you made it last year you know what I'm talking about roads like The Devils Backbone ect. Darrell's family will also be riding and invite any and all who just like to ride "like he did" to come along, by the way it cost nothing to ride and remember Darrell. I'll always remember and remind everyone what a great guy he was, a close friend, a loving devoted father of 7, friend to all who were blessed to have known him, who always had those around him in tears laughing at his quick wit and one liners. Pray for good weather Sunday the 25th and plan on meeting at "Charlie Browns Pancake and Steak House 1038 Main St. Speedway" - Ride west from there around 9:30. A long ride is in store just the way Darrell liked to ride sun up to sun down so a early departure time is a must... Dave Doyle 441-8062
The rain date is Sunday May 2nd AND THE MEETING PLACE HAS CHANGED !!!!
Due to the popularity of Charlie Brown's on Sunday mornings "just too crowded" the new start location is HOME TOWN BUFFET 4873 W. 38th St in the GRORGETOWN PLAZA. Southwest corner 38th & Georgetown Rd. That's right all you can eat $7.00 and if you dont feel like a big breakfast we will be leaving around 10:00. Hope to see you all next week end...
