Things are still going okay, in fact I passed up my 9 month mark of sobriety, and have survived being abused for 4 years now.
I finished a review for "Descent into the Dark by Melyssa Sprott. Amazing book.
Here's my official review:
Descent into the Dark is an intriguing book. You watch Sprott’s downward spiral, as her anguish and pain grow more intense. Sprott places her life under the microscope with he intense words. This book of poetry shows the reality of today. It shows Sprott’s most intellectual side of deep pain.
Sprott allows the hurt reader some comfort in knowing they are not alone. Her poetry is realistic and easily comprehendible. She lays her life out, and lets you pick and choose which parts to read. I find Sprott’s work utterly amazing. I have and would give suggestions to all who are looking for dark poetry, or a more realistic poetry, than love poems, to pick up this book and read it thoroughly.
