Boy Scouting |
The Beginning England The Boy Scouts were originally founded by Lord-Baden Powell after his return to England from his campaigns in Africa. Upon learning that the youth of England were reading and applying the book he had written for the military "Scouting" he promptly rewrote it and renamed it "Scouting for Boys" America The Boy Scouts made their way to England when a buisnessman who had lost his way encountered a boy who took him to his destination and then refused payment because it was against his creed of "Do a good turn daily" So on February 8, 1910 the Boy Scouts of America was incorporated. |
