Eons ago, the first dragon of all time was born unto Elacia, and it was his
desire that dragons could coexist with other sapient life (humans, elves,
hobbits, dwarves, shades, giants, treants, orcs) peacefully. This task was
not easy -- the sapiens proved very fearful of the dragons, but through
determination, the Prime Dragon, as he began to be called, was successful.
Civilization prospered as the sapiens learned the abilities of their new
compatriots. And so it was for millennia, and it was good.
Still, the sapiens feared their allies, and occasionally there was a
powerful dragon born unto Elacia who threatened the sapient-human alliance,
but always the Prime Dragon, the strongest of all, was able to defeat the
usurper. Then was born Searall the Black, the Usurper of Dragons; some
say at his birth, the very earth shook. Hatred and malice turned out to be
an extremely easily spread message, and Searall's forces dramatically
increased in power. Still, the Prime was more powerful than he, and it was
only through guile and deceit that Searall was able to defeat the Prime and
lock him in a cage of ice deep underneath Elacia.
It has been many hundreds of millennia since Searall defeated the Prime,
yet still the Usurper reigns over dragons. Most sapiens have long since
forgotten that at one time, dragons were their allies, and only know hatred
towards all things draconic. However, the message of peace and coexistence
was passed down from generation to generation, and it slowly began to
blossom.
We are the product of this message. We are the last remaining Followers of
the Prime Dragon, the last who believe peace between sapiens and dragons
is possible. It is our goal to overthrow Searall's rule, and discover the
key to freeing the Prime from his icy prison in the depths of Elacia.
We are the tribe of the Followers of the Dragon.
