The Landing

The Landing
A small, oaken table sits against the wall at the top of the stairs, a variety of small candles placed atop it, providing a fitful, flickering light to the dimly lit upstairs hallway. A gold colored doorknob brightly reflects the candlelight directly ahead of anyone who ascends the stairs, set in an inward-opening black wood door. By the intricate decoration of this well made door this must be the door to the master bedroom. The hallway stretches out a short ways to the north, becoming shrouded in the marginal gloom, as the candles are the only source of light in this corridor.
