Introduction of Myself
An Autobiography
Hi, my name is Alakhshendra Sahu, my friends prefer to call me Alex as it is a lot eaiser to pronounce. I live in Edmonton with my Mother and Father, and my maternal Grandparents. This was not always the way things were for us.
My life started on November 20, 1991 (my birthday) in Bombay, India (now known as Mumbai),I lived here for 6 years. I took school for three years Nursery or Playschool then Junior Kindergarten and Senior Kindergarten. In these three years I went to a school called Jamna Bai, it was a private school and very academic. Howver in April 1997 a very huge change was made and it included my life thoroughly. Our family was going to move to Edmonton, Canada. At first when I heard this I thought that we were just going as tourists as in the first five or so years of my life I had covered the whole of Europe almost and ofcourse more or less all of Asia. So it was time for us to visit the America's or so I thought.
When we were on the plane I asked my father how long were we visiting for, his reply was atrocious he said for the rest of your life. I was shocked, I had left all my friends thinking I was going to see them again I was very very sad. Yet as I neared Edmonton I saw the beutiful valleys and there were so many residential houses it was unimaginable nobody in India ever lived in houses they all lived in Apartments.
When we landed we checked into the Macdonald Hotel, we stayed here for a year while I attended Alex Taylor School I went to Grade One here as they said that I could skip Kindergarten even if I was only five. I went to this school for a year and then as we moved out of Hotel Macdonald we moved into Riverbend and I started to go to Earl Buxton Elementary where I repeated Grade One as they thought that I was too young for Grade Two. Yet my mom thought that it did not have high enough Academic Standards for me. So the nest year I started to go to Westbrook Elementary, I went here for six years and met some of my best friends, and we faired well until the end of Grade Six as now we were to go to different schools as most of my friends went to Vernon Barford and I went to Grandview Heights.
That summer of Grade Six some new neigbours moved in next door. They had a child about my age and his name was Gabriel. Over that summer we became best of friends then the horrifying news came. We were to move into a new house by the end of the summer it was to be a greater grander house yet I felt bad leaving Gabriel. But we always meet each other over the weekends so it is pretty fun still.
Now it is the school year and I am at Grandview Heights and my friends at Vernon Barford. It will be a new experience at a new school but I hope it is still fun.
