They have residents Dj's. These three places are located in Gastown in the same building. Just separated from each other by one door. A perfect mix of ambience, excellent non-popular music and nice people. It is not a place to listen to the same music as on the radio, and it is not the cheapest place.**Honey has a DJ on Mondays. The cover is $2.50 - the same price for the beer and some shots.

This is one of Vancouver's best little secrets. The Backstage Lounge, located on Granville Island's waterfront, is one of the most comfortable pubs in the city. It has a nice patio and it is excellent to see the sunset in summer. Good music in general, live music on the weekends (usually a blues band). The Commodore Ballroom is the largest night-club (on Tuesday) and one of the larger concert venues in Vancouver. A concert in the Commodore is really special, you will always be close to the performers. Featuring local bands, and international touring acts. On Tuesdays, they have a Disco night. It is really fun to go there with a lot of friends. You will see people wearing "afros", flare pants and college girls around. Granville Room is one of the best places to go to talk with your friends. When you see the liquor menu you think it is not expensive, but once you start to drink, your bill grows and you never notice it. Sonar is one of the most in vogue bars in Vancouver. Two different rooms with the best DJs in town playing there. There is a big line up almost always and sometimes they ask for dress code.
