The Gem Feilds

A slim, reddish chire is pulling a rake like tool through the blackened sands as you approach. She pauses in her work and drops the rake. "Hello"she says calmly "Welcome to the gem feilds. We harvest sandgems like these sand emeralds."she tosses a bright green stoned flecked with sandy colored spots. "You may hav that as you will need it if you wish for lodging and water."she jerks one clawed hand in the direction of a distant village and then in the direction of scraping sounds. Her regal, lizard like head bends once again to her work as she expertly tosses flawed stones into one been and good ones into another. Shge looks up once again. "If they ask you where you got that."she points to the stone in your hand. "Tell them that Rinak gave it to you."she picks up the rake and her star like eyetatoo is clearly visible. She is of the night clan, gaurdians of the night ad mines. Why sheout here you cannot fathom but you decide to forget about it and start walking at a steady pace toward the village. You scirt a white lump in the sands and stop when you relize its the same type of cocoon as the one in th grove. You glance at Rinak and she smiles. "Yes, that is an egyptan like Kavine's Tanik. It will hatch soon."she goes back to sorting nd you head toward the village once more.
