Edward Scott Williams: Illustrator
There are many different elements that have influenced my life and my art. It seems sometimes that I have lived a few lifetimes already. My experiences around the world as a U.S. Marine, as a tourist, as student, and as a husband have provided me with many different perspectives about life, people, and cultures. These experiences which have been influential in my development as an individual are by definition part of me and my expression as an artist. |
I want to awaken the viewer to see with fresh eyes my artwork, which touches upon nostalgic emotions and values, to communicate about contemporary issues. The past is a universal language, (which can be comprehended by most viewers), in the real and metaphorical sense. Mythology, fantasy, and vibrancy of color strongly influence my work.
