She once ruled the kingdom of Antalousa until a dark secret from her mother's past was discovered. A man who had been locked away in one of the dungeon cells claimed to be the true ruler of Antalousa. Once tests were done to prove this man was indeed N'kolai Silvermane and Renae's grandfather, the power of the throne returned back to him. However, this would not be a happy family union as N'kolai immediately ordered Renae to be locked away in the cells where she spent over a year of her life locked up. When word of N'kolai's assassination spread to the prison cells there was a brief shine of hope that Renae would find herself released and return to the throne...but that was not to be as it was soon mentioned that a woman named Gevagene had claimed power to the throne. The woman's power to the throne showed some relief in the cells as prisoners who were wrongfully accused were being released. Unfortunantly for Renae, however, she remained locked and there were no signs of her being released. As her last remaining hope had faded away, a man sneaked into the castle to break her out and helped Renae escape to the Underdark where she was reunited with her sister, Aira.
