FINAL FANTASY 7 REVIEW
What can we say about this game. Well one thing is for sure, this game set both the standard and raise the bar on all rpg games. Actually i started my rpg experience with this game. After playing this game i was addicted to rpg games. This game had it all, graphics, story, characters, battle, and replay.

The game start you out with Cloud Strife, a mercenary after quiting a elite group called SOLDIER. You begin by being hired by a radical rebel group called Avalanche, which are rebelling against a filty, and greedy corporation called Shinra. Thus you inflitrate into on for their mako geneartors almost like a power generator, and blow it up. After the explosion as you are returning home, you encounter some difficulties taking you away from you group. Thus begins an epic adventure to save both humankind and the world. The story being a SquareSoft and a final fantasy series rpg game, have to be out of this world. And SquareSoft makes sure of it. A very addicting story that will keep on making you playing until you can either find out what happens next, or you released that morning has come.

The sound and music is what you would expect from a final fantasy games. They fit the mood of the game and sometimes make the player feel what the character is feeling. The music helps set the mood and carry the emotions though. Nice music, with accurate sound affects. Plenty of memmoriable songs and music in FFVII

The graphics were at the point of release on of the best with out of the world FMV's. 3D world which to explore, and fluid 3D animations in battles. On of the high points of ffvii, was its abilty to stand out. The only thing i really didnt like was the fact they used deformed figures when exploring the world, in certain cutscenes, and when not in battle. It really doesnt downgrade or ruin the fun of the game, but sometimes the characters look funny.
The battles follows the traditional turn based pattern, using the ATB system. In a battle everyone is given a timer in which gets fill up, once filled results in you doing your command for that character. Introducing into FFVII is the materia orbs. These orbs when put in slots in either weapons or armor allows one to do the perticular magic. Materia to weapons makes the weapon have elemental effect. Nevertheless countless combination are possible with each characters. Also Limits Breaks are used in battles. These limit breaks are powerful attacks used when a gauge is filled up after taking hits from enemies. Limits breaks are very powerful, and near the end can become dangerously brutal. One can also use summons as forces of nature allowing their powers to be use for good. These summons follow the same materia slot idea.

Their is plenty of gameplay as they are countless mini-games and side quest. I can truely say i could play atleast 5 times and still find some form of enjoyment out of the game. The length of game spans over 3 discs resulting in a play time of 35-50 hrs. This was truely a great games, and one can not be considered to be a rpg frantic without playing this game.
