Family Profile

Zsa Zsa

Name at birth: Sari Gabor

Though officially an actress, Zsa Zsa Gabor is more famous as a whimsical celebrity sex symbol. Married nine times, Gabor made a career of joking about her man-hungry ways and her love of jewelry and furs. Her credits include the campy Queen of Outer Space (1958), Moulin Rouge (the 1951 version, not Nicole Kidman's 2001 version), and a small role as a nightclub manager in the Orson Welles classic Touch of Evil (1959). In 1989 Gabor gained fresh notoriety after she slapped a Beverly Hills policeman who pulled her over for a traffic violation. Another traffic accident, in November of 2002, left her in a coma. Gabor's sisters Magda and Eva are also well known; Eva played the scatterbrained wife in the 1960s TV series Green Acres.

Buff:

Name at birth:  Marcus Alexander Bagwell

Born:  Jan 10, 1970

Hometown:  Marietta, GA

Buff Bagwell began wrestling professionally in 1986. At that time, he was known as Marcus Bagwell. In Marc's early career, he wrestled mainly as a tag wrestler, earning 4 tag titles with 2 Cold Scorpio, The Patriot, and Scotty Riggs.

Marcus had been loyal to WCW for years, but he rarely was pushed and got little respect. So 'Buff' was born. When the nWo had just begun to recruit in 1996, Riggs and Bagwell stood in the ring with the nWo. Bagwell gave Riggs a neckbreaker and joined the New World Order. Soon after, his persona Buff emerged. He was a cocky, arrogant, muscular wrestler who thought he was better than anybody else.

Bagwell has gone through fueds with tops stars in the sport, including Lex Luger and Rick Stiener among others. He has occasionally formed a tag team, 'Viscious and Delicious' with Scott Norton, but has gotten more action in singles wrestling as of late.

But on April 29, 1998, Buff's life changed forever. Rick Steiner executed his Bulldog finisher on Buff, and Buff's neck met Rick's back. It was a scary scene, not knowing whether Buff was okay. The arena was silent, prayers were said, tears were flowing, Buff was paralized. Buff was given an MRI, which showed damage to his vertebrae. Buff had major, major surgery on his neck, but that was not the last of Buff's troubles. After surgery, Buff was having trouble breathing and had to have emergency surgery to remove the blood clot in his throat that was cutting off his air supply. When he was released, Bagwell got food posisoning, then another blood clot had to be removed. After 15 days in the hospital, Buff finally got to come home. Buff was quoted as saying, "I know it was an eye opener from God...it definately was a warning from above. It's up to me to answer that tap on the sholder."

Buff will be allowed to resume with his upper body workouts in August, since June he has been exercising his lower body. Bagwell has made 2 Nitro apperances. He thanked the fans for their incredible support during his injury. It is unclear about Bagwell's nWo alliance as of now.

David:

Crosby is one of the best-known musicians of the Woodstock generation. He was twice inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame: once as a member of The Byrds (1991) and once as a member of the rock supergroup Crosby Stills & Nash (1997). With The Byrds he recorded 1960s folk-rock hits like "Mr. Tambourine Man" and "Turn Turn Turn." With CSN (sometimes known as CSNY when joined by Neil Young) he played at Woodstock and wrote and performed on landmark albums like Deja Vu (1970). In the 1980s his personal struggles with drug addiction were much in the news, and in 1985 he served time in jail for drug offenses. He had a liver transplant in 1994, necessitated in part by his past drug abuse. He began recording with a new group, CPR, in 1998; one partner in the group, James Raymond, was a son Crosby had given up for adoption many years before. In January of 2000 rock star Melissa Etheridge announced that Crosby was the biological father of two children she and her partner Julie Cypher had conceived by artificial insemination.

Axl:

Depending who you ask, Guns N' Roses vocalist Axl Rose is either considered a rock music icon who is worshipped by millions as an almost Christ-like figure, or hated as a homophobic, misogynistic, and woefully self-indulgent "rock star" (in his defense, Rose has denied that he's a homophobe or a misogynist numerous times over the years), as well as thought of as a tyrant by his ex-bandmates. William Bruce Rose was born on February 6, 1962, in Lafayette, IN, and suffered sexual abuse from his biological father and physical abuse from his eventual stepfather at an early age (Rose changed his name to William Bailey after his mother remarried). Rose was also an outcast in school, where he was picked on for being "different," but found solace in singing with his school and church vocal choir and eventually rock music. His rough teenage years were eased a bit when he befriended a Keith Richards-worshipping chap by the name of Jeff Isbell, who shared Rose's interest in music. Isbell left Indiana for the streets of Los Angeles in the early '80s with hopes of forming a rock band, and Rose followed shortly thereafter, changing his name to W. Axl Rose (while Isbell soon adopted the name Izzy Stradlin).
