Lost My Chance
We hung out all the time,
but you were never on my mind.
You acted like you didn't care,
that nothing was in the air.
You were just my friend,
but you wanted that to end.
You wanted more,
right down to the core.
Just me and you,
but I didn't have a clue.
You never said a word,
no wonder i never heard.
Now I understand,
I realize I lost my chance,
lost my chance, lost my sight,
couldn't really see what was right.
Lost my chance, lost my way.
Now I keep the words I want to say.
You tell me that now you've got someone,
that you two are having fun.
Now I wish that it was me and you,
too late now, it can't be us two.
Now, I'm just your friend,
the one on which you depend,
for anything that you can't find,
and I can't get you off my mind.
Because now, I want more.
My feelings aren't to be ignored.
I now know how you feel,
like a wound that wouldn't heal.
Back then I never took a glance,
I know now I lost my chance,
lost my chance, lost my sight,
couldn't really see what was right.
Lost my chance, lost my way.
Now I keep the words I want to say.
Now there's one thing I need to know from you,
tell me, could it have worked with us two?
