Guinevere
by: me!!!
Guinevere moved slowly through the forest, taking in the scene around her.
Flowers and vines wound themselves around the stone pillars that were barely
standing up. A lone tear fell down Guinevere’s cheek, falling onto her
ravishing dress. All around her were the signs of a fallen nation, a nation
that she had been part of. Only a few walls remained of the wonderful buildings
that had once stood tall and magnificent. She could remember the radiance that
had once soon here, something that would never shine again. Slowly she picked
up a flower off of the ground and placed it in her hair.
She could remember the day of the attack well. She had been forced to leave the
city, to leave those she loved. That was the last she had seen of her city,
until now. It had been over a thousand years since she had been in this city.
No one but her had survived. If they would have someone would have been sent to
get her. Instead she stayed alone, hoping that finally one day someone would
come to get her. Finally she realized that no one was coming. That was finally
when she decided to look at the place she had once called home.
Her body, still looking young and beautiful, was kept alive only by her dreaded
immortality. Her immortality was something that she hated more than anything
else on earth. It was something that would always linger in her body until
finally she learned to love again. She knew that she could never love again
though. It was just a feeling that came with loosing your family, friends, and
even lover. She knew she would always be alone, trapped in a world that she was
no longer part of. She knew that she would wander this earth, trying
desperately to find a place where she fit in. Slowly she looked up at the
beautiful sun shining high in the sky. It looked so marvelous, stranding up to
the world and showing it who was the ruler. A small noise to her left through
her off guard, making her spin around quickly.
“Miss I’m sorry but no one is allowed to be at this site of the War of the
Ages,” a muscular man with a blue uniform said. “Didn’t you see the boundary
lines.”
“Sorry Sir,” Guinevere replied. “I was just visiting a friend.” With the guards
eyes watching her every move, she walked out of the battle site and slowly
walked into her future.

The Rain Maker
by: ME!!!
Slowly the princess made her made into the center of the small group of
musicians. As she moved forward, her bare feet were stung by the fiery hot clay
that was beneath her feet. Above her, the sky mixed together in shades of
orange, signally the end of another hard day.
A few whistles echoed across the desert as the men stared at Princess Jasmine.
Slowly she began dancing, each step increasing in speed and in intensity. Her
feet burned but she couldn’t stop. She had a job to do.
Jasmine was trapped in this desert because of her father. Her father, known by
everyone as the Prairie King, was a powerful man. Everyone across the world
knew about him, and the secrets that he held. He had fought for years to try to
bear an heir to his deserted kingdom, and through all his trying, was only able
to bring forth this young woman.
The musicians sitting on the hot ground began playing their instruments,
helping Jasmine in the job that she was forced to do. Sweat began pouring down
her body, trying to get free, but in the end evaporating in the scorching heat.
Thunder roared against the force that was driving it out, causing the horses to
flee in fright. Still, as the lightning began flashing above, Jasmine danced.
Her body moved with everyone beat from the drum nearby, continuously speeding
up.
Then it happened. The sky let one lone raindrop fall from the clouds before
signally the beginning of the rain. Jasmine looked up in delight. She’d finally
done something that her father could be proud of. She gave them rain.

Abel and
His Fox
By: Vanilla14
She had always felt out of place, even before her change. Long ago she had
displeased the king and as her punishment she was banished from the kingdom she
had grew up in. Before she left, she placed a kiss on her lover’s cheek, only
to be punished once more. Her originally beautiful body had been transformed
blue, making most mortals afraid of her. Her stunning, steaming red hair still
remained, but it’s splendor was no match for her horrendous body.
After her exile she had roamed the forests, keeping close watch to her beloved
city. The people that came across her called her the Enchanted Raynard. She
knew, however, that she wasn’t enchanted and that she was really cursed.
Everything she had known, everything she had loved was back in that kingdom.
And for reasons she still didn’t know, she’d never be able to return. She’d
only been in the forests for a few months, but she already felt homesick,
wanting to go back to the place she never could.
A noise far off caught her attention, causing her to jump up from the place she
had been laying. In the distance she could hear the sound of galloping horses,
drawing closer to the place that she was.
Raynard fell down into the bushes, hiding her body in the plants around her.
Above a small ledge she could she a shadow approaching. Her body brushed
against a nearby rock, sending a rabbit scurrying from its hiding place. She
could feel the person turn around quickly, trying to identify the source of the
sound.
That’s when she saw him. He was standing tall against the mountains in the
distance, looking striking as always. His long, flowing blond hair blew with
the wind. He was strong, arrogant, and everything that any girl would want. The
only problem, was that he was Prince Abel.
His father had always disapproved of any woman that he had fallen in love with.
There was one special woman though, that the prince would not allow his father
to disapprove of. That one special woman, just happened to be Raynard.
“Raynard, is that you?” Abel asked as he stepped closer. The woman pushed away
from her hiding place and ran behind a tree.
“Don’t look at me!” She screamed. “I am ugly now. I mean nothing more to your
father than one of the foxes that his dogs hunt. He thinks that I’m worthless.”
Abel tried to come closer but she fled once again. “Your father disapproved of
me. He cast me out like a wounded animal, not fit enough to stay in the pack.”
Tears began rolling down her face. “The only person that I ever loved I am
forbidden to be around.”
“My father will learn to approve of you,” Abel said as he tried to draw closer
again. This time she let him come. He wrapped her in his arms, letting her feel
the warmth of his body.
“He’ll never approve,” she cried into his shoulder. “He banished me because you
would not let me go. His soldiers chased me through the city. I found you once
before I left. I gave you a farewell kiss. Then I was cursed to look like
this.” She motioned down to her blue body. Tears continued to stream down her
face.
“Forget my father,” Abel said as he looked into Raynard’s eyes. Her beautiful
bright blue eyes matched her skin perfectly. “We can run away together.”
Raynard smiled as he continued to talk about all the adventures they could have
on their own.
As the sun set behind the mountains, Raynard and Abel rode off into the
distance, to finally be together at last.

The
Maiden in the Meadow
~*~
Some call her crazy. Others just think she’s weird. No one knows her name. It
was lost long ago with her heart. She’s called the Maiden in the Meadow, by all
that know her.
Visitors see her as they pass by the mountains, sitting amongst the flowers,
waiting for something they don’t know. She’s never moved for years, kept alive
only by the hope inside her. This is her story, and the reason she still waits.
“I’ve got to go home,” Samantha pleaded as Devin pulled her in his arms.
“I need to tell you something first,” Devin said as he took her hand. They
walked for what seemed like hours, until they arrived at a small meadow.
Covering the grass were thousands of flowers, all the same blood red color. In
the distance mountains jutted out into the sky, going so high that the moon was
hidden behind them.
“What?” Samantha asked as she looked into Devin’s hansom green eyes. Devin lead
her down the meadow and to the edge of the cliff. Waves gushed against the
rocks beneath them but Samantha wasn’t scared. She had Devin with her, and
that’s all she needed.
“I’ve got to tell you something,” Devin said. He gently pushed a lock of
Samantha’s blondish red hair out of her face. “They’ve called me to be in the
war,” Devin began slowly. “My boat leaves tomorrow.”
“But what will I do without you?” Samantha asked. You could see tears beginning
to dot her eyes. “What about our future? What about all the plans we had?”
“I’ll come back,” Devin said as he forced a smile on his face. “You just wait
here for me and I’ll come back.”
“I’ll wait for you forever,” Samantha smiled. “You better go home and get some
rest. You’ll need your strength tomorrow.”
“Bye my love,” Devin said as kissed Samantha on the cheek. He turned around and
slowly walked out of the meadow.
“Bye my darling,” Samantha sighed as she watched her one true love go.
The next morning Samantha ran back to the meadow. She sat down around the
flowers and watched the sails of Devin’s ship fade into the horizon. She never
moved again, knowing that he would come back to her one day.
Far away in a graveyard sits a small gravestone. Engraved in the rough stone
are the words:
Devin Harness
1921-1942
Here lies a brave soldier and a wonderful man.
Samantha never knew about Devin‘s death. Still she waits in that meadow,
waiting for her one true love to return to her. He’ll never return though, and
she’ll never move. Finally when her faith dies, so will her body. But until
then she waits. Waits and watches for her love to return.

The Fable
Weaver
~*~Present~*~
She was known as Scheherazade. Most people, however, just simply called her the
Fable Weaver. She had the power to shape history in anyway she wanted. She
could change the outcome of any war, whether it had been fought yet or not. She
could create any character she wanted and use the person as a pawn for her
greater scheme. Any person that got any her way she could erase with a snap of
her hands. No one knew how she had gotten this unbelievable power, except
herself.
Today, however, she was concentrating on a more personal matter.
“Have you found them yet?” She asked her general. A slight breeze swept across
the beautiful stone castle where she now lived, sweeping back her lovely light
blond hair. She looked like a goddess standing there, and in truth you could
call her one. She wore expensive silk clothes that were made specially for her.
Around her neck was a priceless gold necklace that reminded her of her life
before she had been called to this wonderful place. It all started with
betrayal, then moved on to her death and finally to her rebirth as the powerful
woman that she was today. Most people talked about the fantastic things that
she could do with her power. She didn’t care about all the happiness that she
could bring. Right now, she only wanted revenge.
“Not yet,” the man sighed. His pudgy stomach stuck out of his tight clothes.
“We’ll find him by tonight.”
~*~ Flashback ~*~
Scheherazade stood still as she watched the approaching island in the distance.
Finally she had been freed of the life that she had once held so dear. She was
on her way to a place far off, on a ship full of pirates, and with the gold
that she had stole from her castle before she had left.
“Hello my dear,” she heard her lover announce as he stepped onto the deck with
her. A slight breeze sweep across the salty ocean, showing off the gorgeous
gold necklace that Scheherazade was wearing.
“Hello my love,” she replied as she felt Jack’s arm brush against hers. “When
will we be to the next island?”
“Soon dear,” he replied as he pulled her into his arms. “I have a question
though. Don‘t you feel scared on this ship with all the gold you brought.”
“Not with you here,” she replied softly. Slowly Jack leaned forward. Before
their lips could touch, Jack swiftly pulled out his knife and stabbed her in
the stomach.
“You should have been,” he spat as he let Scheherazade’s body fall to the
ground.
~*~Present~*~
“We found him,” the general announced. “You’re going to leave in ten minutes.
Will you be ready by then?”
“I’ve been ready for years,” she replied. “I’m ready to leave now.”
Scheherazade stalked the man in front of her, making sure not to make a sound.
In front of her she could she the muscular outline of the man that had betrayed
her all those years ago. His dark brown hair hadn’t changed a bit. It was still
dirty and messy, just like always.
“Hello my love,” Scheherazade said as she walked out into the open, making her
presence known.
“You’re dead,” Jack said quickly.
“You can only be dead if someone kills you,” she said swiftly. “I was dead,”
she continued, “but I was reborn.”
“As what?” Jack laughed. “A stubborn brat like you used to be?”
“Laugh now,” she walked over to him. “I’m the Fable Weaver.” She could see the
fear that had now spread across his face. “What? Not so brave anymore?”
“You could have killed me years ago,” Jack began slowly. His body was slightly
trembling. “Why didn’t you do it then?”
“I wanted to see you die,” Scheherazade smiled as she walked forward. In her
hand was a long, thin sword. The same sword that had caused her rebirth. Slowly
she plunged it into his stomach. She watched in satisfaction as her betrayer
died.
