Chapter One of Outrage

"Alright," Mazrik said to Ekin, "how do we get out of here?"

The two men stood in a room that seemed infinately high, but Mazrik guessed it to be around sixty feet high. Not much incentive to try and get out the skylight that loomed above them. He looked around the box of a room, his blonde hair falling in messy strips across his face. He hadn't showered for quite a while, judging by the state of cleanliness of his hair. He didn't dare smell himself. How long had they been in here?

Ekin turned around slowly, studying the walls that closed them in. The one window was right against a brick wall, no exit there. They didn't have much lounging room, the box they were captive in was only around 15 feet by 15 feet. Good thing neither of the two men were claustrophobic. He looked up at the skylight and ran his hand through his messy red hair.
"I'm not sure, Maz. But I really need a shower. How long do you say we've been in here?" Ekin's voice was extremely husky, while Mazrik's was softer, more appealing. He turned his head and cracked it, stretching his arms out in front of him he twined his fingers together and let them crack as well, arching his back to get the same effect. "Nice..." he droned, more to himself than to Maz. The room was beginning to close in on them, or so it seemed. He shook his head to clear his eyes of the illusion, but stopped when he heard the grinding of metal rubbing on concrete. "Uh, Maz..."

"Yeah, Ekin, I noticed too. Looks like we have to get out of the skylight. It feels like we're missing something though." Maz scratched his head, looking around. "Wait a second. Where'd Hex go?"
"You're dog? You're worried about the damn dog? Obviously he's in better condition than we are!"
"No, stupid. If Hex is out of here, he's bound to have gotten someone to help. Maybe Lea..."
"Don't count on it. Lea hates you right now. She's probably the reason we're in here right now."
"Right, as if she'd want me dead."
"It's a possibility. You know what you did to her."
"Enough. We have to get out of here."

The crash of the window above them echoed through the small room, the sound of the breaking glass ringing in their ears for a long moment afterwards. They looked up when they assumed all the glass had fallen, removing their arms from above their heads. "Agh.." Maz ripped a sliver of glass from his forearm, the blood trickling down and leaving a few drops on the floor.
"Serves you right, bastard." Lea's voice rang clear above them, filled with venom.
"Hey, sugar!" Ekin yelled up, a huge grin spreading across his face when he looked at her strong face, with her metallic gray hair falling past her face. She had it cut short, but not short enough to stop that. It was actually sexy. So was the glare he received.
"Shove it, Ekin. You're no better. Now get your asses up here." She backed away from the shattered window as the walls moved closer. Slowly, but closer.

"We're lacking in the liftablility down here, Lea!" Maz called, the sharp jutting of his voice symbolizing how badly his arm must have hurt. It looked deep.
"Learn to fly." Lea spat. Maz knew that was all he was going to get. He looked at Ekin.
"All I have is my shotgun, man."
"Shotgun, great. Hey, Lea! Where's you're chain thrower?"
"Up my ass, Maz."
"You wanna pull it out for old time's sake?"
"Why?"
"Because you already came all this way to shatter glass over us. You missed my head, maybe your chain will choke me."
"Good point." A large shot was heard above them and the chain that came out of her chain shooter hit Maz square in the shoulder.
"Thanks." He grunted and backed up, letting the chain fall to the floor. "Go ahead, Ekin."

Grabbing his shotgun and his switchblades, he tucked the blades into his boots and grabbed onto the chain. For once he wished he was Maz, who never left home without his gloves. At least on his right hand (although the index finger of the glove was missing). Maz never left without his machine gun either.
He tucked his shotgun into it's holster on his back and started climbing the chain. His hands immediately started burning and he had to grit his teeth as he climbed up. After what seemed like eternity, and felt more like it, he finally crawled up over the shattered edges of the window. He cut his stomach but rolled over onto the roof without complaining.

Maz watched Ekin shimmy his way up the chain, praying that he himself would be able to lift himself up the whole way one handed. He couldn't do much with his left arm. He snatched up his backpack, the one he never left home without, and hung it across his left shoulder. Uncomfortable, but it had to do. Momentarily he wished he didn't have so many guns in it, his Taurus PT92 Pistol, his machine gun slipped between the cover and the actual backback, his Ruger P97D Pistol, his Browning PDA 380, his Desert Eagle Mark XIX Pistol (yes, he loved pistols) and his 16FXP3 PS Rifle and his baby, the Bretta .22. No one could use a gun the way Maz could, no one that lived anyway.

He gripped the chain with his right hand, lifted himself up as much as he could, wrapped his legs around the chain, letting the spikes on the soles of his boots get a grip, and pushed himself up with his feet. Then he slid his hand up and pulled again. He continued in this painful way until he got to the top, where Ekin was kind enough to yank him up by his left arm. Maz growled but didn't let on to the agony otherwise. He knelt on the roof, still feeling the rumbling of the moving walls under him.

"We better get off here. The roof is gonna collapse in a second." He stood and looked over the roof. Still much too high for his comfort but he had no choice. He prayed he landed decently. He pulled on the other strap of his backpack and flung himself off the roof. He threw his arms out to his sides, knowing that by doing so it would slow him down and let the backpack catch some air too. He watched the ground come closer and closer. Finally, just before he landed he turned as best as he could so his feet were positioned and landed on his feet, the spikes of his boots digging into the ground. Amazing what his father had taught him.

Chapter 2 of Outrage

… Hearing Ekin and Lea land near him, Maz turned in their direction, just in time to get a big faceful of wind.
… “Oh holy hell!” Maz gasped. “Ekin, if I smell that bad, and you can get a damn round out of that shotgun, please shoot me.”
… “If he wont, I will willingly do the honors,” Lea said, brushing her hair away from her raven black eyes.
… “Aw, come on sis,” Maz said calmly. “You know I didn’t shove that chain thrower up your ass. It was all Ekin, I swear.”
… Ekin let out a slight chuckle, but received a glare from Lea. Shutting up immediately, he headed towards the road, humming some old show tune to the beat of his own walking. Lea hurried after Ekin, as if to not be left alone with Maz.
… Looking up at the building they had just jumped from, he readjusted the backpack on his shoulders. Taking a lost glance at his prison, It’s a wonder we hadn’t killed each other yet. Well I hadn‘t killed him yet. crossed his mind. Maybe that brothership bond really was a strong thing. Get a hold of yourself Maz. You know the truth. You just didn’t want to have to waste any bullets, and smell his dead carcass for however longer we might have had to been in there. followed the thought. Stepping out of dream mode, Maz ran to catch up with Lea.
… Messing up her hair like old times, Maz looked at her face and copied the expression. In a deep monotone voice Maz said but two sentences, but it was enough for Ekin to have to stop walking, look back, and burst into a fit of girl like giggles.
… “Don’t I look pretty. Oh so pretty.” Lea looked over at Maz and had to, unknown to both of them, bite her lip just to not also burst into laugh. Maz had his brow creased, and his eyes wide open. His mouth was held into a straight line, and the bob of his head made him look like a bobble-head doll.
… Through all this he was able to keep walking at Lea’s pace down the dirt road that led back to god-knows-where.
… Putting a normal look back on, the group continued walking for a while. After about and hour of a steady beat, Maz abruptly stopped, and his hands quickly flew to his ears. Ekin already rolling on the ground screaming for it to stop, Lea’s brain went into panic mode. Her eyes going from one to another, she leaned next to Maz as soon as a nose bleed occurred. Ripping the long sleeve blouse she had on, the bleeding stopped before she was even able to put it on his nose, nonetheless apply pressure.
… Backing several feet up, she was just in time, because Maz came into bad ass composure moments later, and she also didn’t want him seeing that she really cared.
“What the god damn hell!!” Maz screamed to the air. “The bells should have gone away when we left the building!! Shouldn’t they have?” Maz said the last part in a calmer more together voice, though it had a hint of fear on the edges.
… Ekin shrank away, frightened of the mention of the bells, more than the way Maz was acting. Lea getting composed, had waited until Maz was done. “Get your head out your ass, and calm down. Get a grip. We needed to be the hell out of here yesterday, unless you would like me to join you when the B.D Doctors find another Retarsh Room that isnt full,” Lea said calmly.
… Clearing his throat Ekin chimed in cheerfully “You guys seem real interested in each others asses, are you so sure you two are related?”
… Ignoring Ekin, “Lets both unstuff our asses, and be on our way then.” Maz started walking down the road, paying attention to the ground, and his own thoughts, petting Hex who had some how shown up at the right time.

… In whispering voices Ekin and Lea started talking while Maz walked onward.
… “Why cant you guys just forgive each other. I know you to must still love each other. Somewhere deep down inside,” Ekin started.
… “Sure we do, don’t we show it well?”
…“Well you have a point, your ass is very far down.”
… “Come on Ekin. Would you forgive him?”
… “Come on Lea. I already have.”

Tired...need food...chocolate...brain food. By the way, my muses have taken Mazrik as a guest cuz they think he's hot. *shrugs* Go figure. In any case, I better write this baby before I get side-tracked yet again. Hope you like .^_^. The plot bunnies are gnawing on the wire connected to the mouse, they better go away after I finish this.

Chapter Three of Outrage

Looking up at his master, Hex sighed a doggy-like sigh. Maz immediately looked down towards his furry friend and cocked his head to the right. "What's up Hex? You aren't turning on me too?" The dog stopped after puffing up a bit of air, which made his short bangs that hid his jet black eyes fly up for a moment. Plopping himself down on the gravel road he looked up at Maz and blinked a few times. Watery black eyes looked at light blue. The platinum blonde was getting impatient. Placing his hand on his hip while the other held his trusty backpack, which actually held more trusty contents inside, he asked, "What is it?!"

If a canine could roll their eyes, Hex just did. Turning his head a little so he could look behind them, he barked down the pathway. At first Maz didn't understand, but then his eyes widened in realization. "Where's Lea and Ekin?"

He didn't have to wait long for the next thing he heard was a scream. "Mazrik Ellios Tarone! Slow down or you are the one who is going to get the chain thrower lodged in undiscovered regions of their bodies!" Lea's silvery hair glistened in the moonlight, even if she was far away. Ekin was somewhere behind her, even if he couldn't be seen, his laughter was quite audible.

Maz looked down at his puppy. "Hex, next time they fall behind, don't bring it to my attention." Mussing up the dog's hair he ventured forward again, despite his sister's yells. Luck however thought punishment was in order and left him with a hearty laugh. A pain coming from deep within him traveled up his spine. That was the only warning he got before he feel to his knees once more and bent backwards in pain with his hands over his ears. The bells had started again and as Lea looked from one male to the other, it boggled her mind as to what plagued her brother and his friend. Helplessness took her over and she found that she could think of nothing she could do to help. They both were writhing on the ground getting endless speckles of gravel all over them.

Just then a slight noise like a cracking of twig met Lea's skilled ears and she pivoted around. Light green eyes scanned the area looking for the origin of the sound. When she saw nothing, she abandoned her worries about the men's pain reasoning she could do nothing for them presently anyway. Walking swiftly over to her brother's side she looked cautiously all around her, eyeing the trees warily. Feeling that she could chance a look down, she reached for Maz's backpack inconspiciously making it look like she was checking him for any problems even though he was obviously in pain. Grasping the handle of one of the many guns, she narrowed her eyes to scan the horizon of the landscape once more. Closing her eyes tentatively, she heard the cracking again and within instants she stood up with the gun in her hands aiming at the birth place of the noise. Without hesitation she pulled the trigger, part of her silvery silk hair falling onto her features hiding one of her eyes and half of her face. There was no recoil as others would have; she was obviously skilled just as Maz was. Considering they had the same father, that would be a likely assumption.

All Lea heard was a startled gurgling noise and a sharp thud to the grassy ground. Without warning she felt a tight grip on her ankle and automatically she pointed the gun down. It was Maz looking up at her innocently with his light blue eyes while his platinum blonde lockes were astray. In a voice she had only heard from him as a child, he asked, "What happened?"

"Someone was following us. He may have something to do with those bells you and Ekin keep hearing. I shot him though." Handing the gun to Maz, she started out towards the corpse.

Maz looked confusedly at his gun. The bells must have lodged his brain weird, but after a few minutes his eyes blinked a few times and his face became red. "I NEVER GAVE YOU PERMISSION TO TAKE ONE OF MY GUNS!" Starting to heave in rage, he felt a hand on his shoulder.

"Give her a break. When she shot him the bells went away right?" Ekin was rubbing his head and looking at Maz. He didn't say anything else, but just followed Lea.

Maz pouted, but got up after securing that his gun was safe and sound in his backpack. Hex trotted behind him as he too went to examine their stalker. When he got there, he placed his arm on a tree and leaned forward to see Lea rolling over a man in black. Even from the back, you could tell he was an elderly man from the salt and pepper hair he was sporting. Raking his hands through the front of his hair, so his bangs were free of his face, Maz asked, "Who is he?"

After successfully rolling him over, Lea pulled out a white card from the man's inside pocket. Looking up at the boys after she had read it, she said, "It says here he was a technician at Bodo Corporation. Does that mean anything to you two?" Light green eyes looked from redhead to platinum blonde waiting for an answer. However, all she got were screams.

The bells were worse this time, making their nose's bleed just as before. Hex crawled into Lea's lap and sighed. He was obviously telling her to wait even though her instincts told her to try and help. At least this time she didn't hear anyone sneaking around. When the episode was over, Lea was sitting with Hex in her lap still, petting the canine periodically. Both Maz and Ekin cleaned up their bloodied faces before turning to Lea again.

"Guess you killing this guy had nothing to do with the bells huh? I thought since after you shot him, they would go away for good, but I guess I was wrong." Ekin stood up faltering on his way.

Lea stayed on the ground and examined the dead man. "No, I think you're wrong. He does have to do with the bells someway or another. He was following us after all, so he is somehow connected to whoever is operating the bells you guys are hearing." Finally she stood up and showed the two the card. "I think we should pay a visit to Bodo Corp." Slipping the card into her breast pocket, she turned placing Hex down on the ground and made her way to the gravel path again.

When she heard two pairs of familiar footsteps behind her, she added with a smirk, "First we have to find you guys a place to take a shower." Two pairs of eyes narrowed and glared at the girl's back.

Hey guys, I convinced Michelle to let me rewrite this one. ^.^ -notes that she seems to convince Michelle to let her do many things.- I took the basic concept that he had of the chapter and made it longer, more detailed, and without the useless garble about the 'ladies man' and the ass joke. See how nice it turned out? I told you it could have been a good chapter, and I made it into something that anyone could have thought of. You find out why Lea hates Maz so much. -initiates drum roll.- And there's a mini-action scene at the end. I hope it isn't too bad, it took me longer than I thought. I know I promised to have it finished by last night Michelle, but my mom kicked me off because I type too fast. -hides from Mommy.- Yeah, it only took me an hour to write it, excluding the breaking point where I was kicked off the pc. So I'm in school right now, I finished it up just for you, Michelle, as early as I could. I <3 everyone, and I hope you all like the chappy! Oh and since no one bothered to answer my Bodo Corp question, I used bodo corp in here. =P

Chapter Four

Maz walked slowly down the dirt road, despite the fact that it was only eight feet wide and had ruts the size of his torso, the sign said it was a road. He was willing to differ. His back pack was slung over his good shoulder, his steps were precise, long and easy. Ekin and Lea trailed him, he could tell Ekin's pace was slower than either Lea's or his own. He wondered if he should slow for them, but he knew also that Lea still loathed him. Ekin seemed to have forgiven the past, while Lea just couldn't, or wouldn't, relieve Maz of his guilt. The hours passed, he wanted to thank Lea for shooting the man, knowing she had done it by chance of saving he and Ekin, but he knew she wouldn't accept it. He had snapped at her for using his gun. He lifted his good arm to press his thumb and index finger against his temples, annoyed with himself. He didn't have to be so protective of his guns with her, he knew that, but he had been. His actions had been unnecessary. The silence between the three of them was so think and heavy that someone could cut it with a metaphorical knife. Hex trotted his energetic way up to Maz's side, keeping pace with the lengthy steps of the man. Hex could obviously feel the tension, Maz looked down at him and sighed deeply in his throat. He halted, the dog stopping a few feet later and turning to face him. "C'mere." Maz said, crouching down and patting his knee. Hex sauntered over, his tongue lapping gently in the air. Maz rubbed his head, scratching his ear lightly. The dog's rear plopped down onto the ground, causing a puff of dirt particles to ascend into the air. He heard the footsteps behind him stop, not much more than a few feet back.

She shot daggers at the back of Maz's head with her vicious glare as she walked behind him, her hands shoved into the pockets of her trench coat. He had surpassed her an hour or so after the bells incident, he was always fast paced. Her metallic hair cascaded down her neck and over her eyes, adding more heat to the dry air of the open space around them. They seemed to be in the middle of nowhere, she momentarily wondered if she could kill Maz and get away with it. She grunted, knowing Ekin would never allow it. Hex padded beside her, his tongue hanging from his open mouth as he breathed. Every step he took seemed to send up a cloud of the road into her face. "Hex, go away." She snapped, the dog sent his puppy eyes up in her direction before trotting off to catch up with Maz. She rolled her eyes as Ekin called out to her from yards behind.
"Sugar! Could you wait up?" She heard his heavy footsteps quicken when she didn't respond, he was willing to run to catch up to her. She sighed, stopping, knowing her efforts of escape were futile.

Ekin walked alone behind the twins, not sure who he should join. Finally, when Hex trotted up to Maz, Ekin decided to join Lea. After yelling without her hearing him, he ran and caught up, after she had stopped for a moment. He fell into step with her, not saying anything for a long while. He waited patiently for the words to come to him, when they did he let them spill from his mouth.

"Lea, you really should acquit him."

"Shut up, Ekin."

"He did it to save you." His voice was sure, but soft, hers remained harsh.

"He did it to free himself." She spoke 'he' and 'himself' with such venom that Ekin could almost taste it.

"Save you."

"Shut up, dammit. You don't know what happened."

"I was there, Lea!"

"Unconscious!"

"Injured." She growled at this, having no retortion. "It was over a year ago, Lea. He's your only living blood. I know he didn't do it for himself, he'd still do anything for you. I bet he'd do it all over again."

She shot the most rancorous glare at him. "He killed our parents, Ekin. He killed my fucking parents!" She screamed this, so loudly that Maz halted and let his head drop down a bit. The tears streaked her face, glistening in the setting sun's light.

He halted, tilting his head downward at her words. He attempted to bite his tongue, but failed as he turned around and stomped towards the two of them. His hands shot out, gripping Lea's shoulders tightly, his own crystal blue eyes piercing into her coal black ones. "Dammit, Lea. I had to. You know that. They were going to kill you. Do you not understand that?" He gripped her chin, tilting her head to the side. "This fucking scar is from them." His finger traced a scar that ran from her earlobe to her collarbone, down the side of her neck. "They weren't them anymore, Lea. Bodo Corp got to them and you wouldn't accept it. I saved your god damned life. Can't I get a hug? Anything at all would be better than this hatred you've let breed for me for the past year and however many fucking months."

"Five." She whispered, yanking her chin from his thumb and index finger. She let her gaze fall to the ground, meeting Hex's. Maz turned and ventured on in silence. Within an hour they found an abandoned cottage, Maz pulled out his Bretta .22 and shot the door hinges off. The door crashed violently to the floor, a few slivers of the wood ricocheting from the floor. He stepped inside, his boots pounding heavily on the dusty floor. Miraculously, there was running water, cold, but running. The three of them took seperate showers, Maz finishing the quickest. He laid out his trench coat on the floor, emptying his back packs contents to the floor and tossing it near the coat. He sat in a corner, yards away from his belongings, and didn't move again. The only motion being his lips forming his words when he told Lea to sleep there. His Bretta .22 hung in the palm of his hand idly, his eyes on the door of the cottage, darting to the window unexpectedly. He watched as Ekin curled up in a corner, moments later falling into a deep sleep, complete with snoring and grunting. Lea, on the other hand, remained motionless as she lied on his trench coat, her hands laced over her stomach. She fell asleep within the hour, when her body just wouldn't stand for her insomnia any longer.

Maz remained rigid in his corner, his attention on every aspect of the cottage. He couldn't afford to have the three of them attacked in the middle of the night. He could almost feel the bells again, his awareness of everything outside intesifying. Then the bells hit, so hard and so fast that he screamed. His hands went up to his ears protectively, the cool metal of his gun pressing against his face, forcing his damp hair against his temples. The bells throbbed relentlessly in his head, he felt the blood seep from his nose, and drip down his chin onto the floor. He almost heard the sound of the drop splattering. The bells were so silent he heard leaves blowing outside, yet they were so loud he couldn't hear Lea stand up and run to his side.

Lea heard his scream, it pierced through her ears and straight to her heart. She was up and by his side before she knew what she was doing, she cradled his head in her arms and rocked back and forth gently, cooing. She knew the cooing was counterproductive for him, but it helped her handle the situation. Ekin was off in the other corner, wailing and moaning in a hysterical manner. She couldn't be in both places at once. Just as she released Maz's head, aiming to head over to Ekin's side to see if she could aid him. The screaming stopped as suddenly as it started, and Maz was to his feet, wiping the blood from his nose onto his shirt, his familiar cold exterior retaining it's dominance. He looked at her, his eyes not nearly as harsh as they had been when he yelled at her out on the road. She pretended she had never cradled his head in her arms and walked off outside, her own bad ass front taking over. She wanted to forgive him, part of her told her that she had no reason to forgive him. That he hadn't done anything wrong. But then the image of her parents flashed into her mind, and she hated him again. She had long ago let herself believe they hadn't been trying to kill her, that she had imagined the pain, that Maz hadn't been hanging on a hook jammed into his back across the room. That he hadn't nearly died trying to save her life. She wouldn't believe it.

Maz watched her walk outside, his instincts forcing him to follow her, silently. He remained in the cottage, hearing her stop just a few feet outside, his back pressed against the wall. His Bretta .22 gripped tightly in his left hand, he listened intently. He heard steps, farther off than Lea had gone, he heard the cracking of branches and the crushing of moss. He lifted his gun near his face, his index finger on the trigger. He felt Ekin watching him, and he heard Lea's scream as a gun shot rang out. It hadn't been the person approaching that fired, it had been Maz, firing at him. His bullet pierced the man's forehead, dead on, and the man crumpled to the ground. Lea's breath was coming hard, Maz seemed untouched by the brutal killing. He walked over to the man, kicking him over onto his back, and crouched down beside him. He shuffled through the over coat the man wore, pulling out a wallet. He lifted it open and found what he was looking for, the Bodo Corp ID badge. He tossed it towards Lea, glaring at the man viciously for approaching his sister.

Hopefully, I won't make this long. I don't want Nikki and I being the only ones writing this you know? Welp, here it goes.

Chapter Five
'Outrage'

"Ekin!" Maz had had enough of sitting around and waiting. It just wasn't his style at all. If they were going to get this organization, then they were going to do it now. His friend knew him long enough to know that he wasn't just going to sit around and talk about what they were going to do. He worked better on intuition more than anything else. It was time that Bodo Corp. paid for everything they had done. Messing with his parents, implanting mechanisms into his and Ekin's brains, and for causing other's pain as well. Granted Maz really didn't care much for the other people's troubles, but it was an added bonus. They needed to be taken down and now was the best time.

His red-haired friend was still sitting in the shack they had found. Resting his head back on the makeshift wall, he looked up at his friend. When Ekin saw the rage in his comrade's eyes, he immediately got up off his ass and asked, "What is it?" At first, he thought that Maz was pissed at him for retreating back into the shelter after he had killed the employee, but the fury that eminated from him was much different.

Running his hand through his platinum blonde tresses, Maz said, "We're leaving for Bodo Corp. now. The sooner we get rid of them, the sooner everything's over and we can rest."

"I don't think that is a good idea Maz. We should really figure out what we are going to do when we get there. We can't just barge in and get shot. Speaking from experience, we have done that way too often." Ekin didn't approach Maz mainly because he wasn't an idiot. He savored his life and didn't want to threaten it by pissing off his friend.

Maz grinded his teeth together and swiveled his jaw. How come everyone was against his plans? "Ekin, you can't be ser-"

Holding up a hand, Ekin had silenced Maz, for the moment at least. "Listen for a second okay? I think we should go see Isah." Maz's light blue eyes seem to calm down at his friend's mention of the name. The anger subsided and he put down his backpack. Nodding, he signaled for Ekin to continue. "She helped us before. Granted she couldn't get us out of that prison, but speaking on her behalf, she was on the other side of the world. If there is anyone that can help us annihilate Bodo Corp., it'd be her." When Maz continued to hesitate by looking at Ekin skeptically through his platinum bangs, the redhead added, "You left your trophy there, don't forget that Maz."

Light blue eyes flew open all the way and Maz grasped Ekin on either side. "That's right! Last time we saw her, she used my favorite gun! The Mag-" He stopped in midsentence and let go of his comrade. "I did give her permission though, didn't I?" Ekin nodded and Maz shoved his hands in his pockets as he pondered the situation. "I knew she would keep it, but Isah is a good one. She wouldn't give it to anyone else or mistreat it." Looking up at Ekin, he proclaimed, "Okay. Let's go give her a visit."

As Maz leaned down to pick up his backpack, his back to the doorway, he heard the question, "Who's Isah?"

The platinum blonde turned very slowly on his heel and put a stupid smile on his face as he turned to see his sister framed in the threshold. He pretended to laugh, but wasn't very convincing. Then he felt a strong hold on his shoulder and he looked over to his right. Ekin winked at him and walked in front of him.

As Ekin made his way out of the little cottage, he said, "Lea, Isah is about the sexiest brunette this side of eternity." With a full-fledged smirk on as he brushed passed the silver-haired girl, he added, "Oh yeah, she's about the best organizationalist concerning break ins and take downs, or take overs for that matter, that has ever lived. Your bro and I met her awhile back, but lost touch with her right before those Bodo Corp scientists took us into custody as guinea pigs." He walked out into the moonlight, but turned around. Lea was leaning against the doorway and Maz was trying to make his way around her without being attacked. As her light green eyes burned into him, Ekin offered, "Don't worry. I can always contact her, no matter where we are or she is...besides that prison of course, but you know. Either way, we have a history."

Maz had slipped passed Lea who glared daggers at him as he walked towards Ekin. The redhead was now smirking again. Pushing her silvery lockes away from her face, Lea asked, "Sorry for being a pessimist and assuming it to be bad, but what kind of history?"

The smirk grew as Ekin answered. "A good one."

Erm...I guess that wasn't so short. It was almost a perfect length, no? *smile* Hope you liked!

Chapter Six

The room was overall dark. The only light, emitted by a fireplace in the corner, barely cast enough light to make out the four people standing in the room. Lea stood back as she watched her brother talk to the beautiful woman in front of them. At her side Ekin leaned against the wall, his lack of sleep beginning to show. It had been a long trip to see this woman and so far, Lea wasn’t impressed. She tapped her fingers against a table near her in annoyance. After a few minutes she stopped in fear that it might fall down. The table, just like everything else that was visible in the room, was antique. Dust lined the top of the furniture of this house that hadn’t been used in years. She still didn’t understand why they had to meet here. This place was too far out of the way. They were wasting their time here and Lea knew that she could do anything that this woman could.
“You want to bring down Bodo Corp?” Isah smiled. Through the thick darkness Lea could barely make out the woman’s shiny brown hair. Her skin was a creamy white with freckles dotted across the surface. Overall she was beautiful but there was still something about her that Lea didn’t trust.
“That’s what I said,” Maz replied. Lea watched as her brother scanned Isah’s body. She had an idea about what thoughts were going through his head right now and all of them made her feel sick at her stomach. She could see the longing in his eyes for something that he couldn’t have. There were still so many things that she didn’t know about her brother. Each of these gray areas of her brother’s life were not just a want to know but also a necessity. Everything that she didn’t know about her brother would end up causing problems later on. Experience told her that.
“And you want my help,” Isah finished slyly. “Thousands of people have tried to bring down Bodo Corp in the past. What makes you think that you have what it takes to do something this big?”
Maz smiled. “We have you.”
“Suck up,” Lea muttered under her breath. She brushed her metallic hair out of her eyes as she strained to see what was going on. She heard Ekin walk behind her and go out into the cool night air. After failing to hear the new conversation between her brother and Isah, Lea headed outside where Ekin had went only moments before. At first the cold nipped against Lea’s skin but her body adapted quickly. Clouds rolled across the night sky, temporarily blocking the moonlight. It was a dark and cold night, the perfect time for something bad to go down. They should have been at Bodo Corp, finally getting their revenge but instead they were here.
“I know you don’t like her,” Ekin began slowly. “Just give her a chance please. Not for my sake but for Maz. He did love her… and he probably still does. Just don’t do anything stupid.”
“What do you mean?” Lea asked. “What do you know that I don’t?”
Ekin smiled. “Believe me, she’s gonna want to go with us to take down Bodo Corp. She has more than a few demons that she needs to face.”
“It can’t be as bad as them screwing over your parents.”
“Trust me,” Ekin said. “It’s worse.”

Isah shifted her weight slightly from one side to the other. This wasn’t a sign of her impatience or weakness, but a sign that showed exactly how strong she was. She was a master at manipulation. She literally could get anything she wanted. Right now she wanted revenge and she would get it, even if it meant sacrificing a friend in the process.
“I’ve missed you,” she began softly. “And I will help you. Let’s just rest tonight. We can start tomorrow. We’ll have clear heads then and we’ll be able to think more clearly. I know you have to be tired.”
“I’m not,” Maz replied stubbornly. He had fallen for her tricks too many times before. He refused to allow it to happen now.
“I won’t talk until tomorrow.” Isah equally matched his stubbornness. She crossed her arms in an expression that said she wouldn’t back down. Her eyes glimmered dark green in the firelight and for a second you could see the true power in this small woman.
“And I’m not sleeping.” Maz looked around the room and saw that both Lea and Ekin had left the house. Silently he swore for not hearing them move. When it came to Isah he lost all common sense. He looked back into Isah’s beautiful orbs. “What do you suggest we do until then?”
“I have a few ideas,” she replied seductively as she ran her hands along Maz’s chest. He brushed her off, although this was much harder than he pretended it to be. For so long he had wished things were different between them and that things could have worked out. Fate always had a way of taking away what he wanted. First his family and then his love. Being tough was the only thing that had kept him alive so far. He had seen from experience that weakness only caused death.
“Fine,” Isah huffed. “I’ll see you tomorrow.” With those few words she marched off up the staircase. Maz had always wondered if she was truly human. Even in this dim light she made her way perfectly up the stairs without even stumbling. She was amazing and almost perfect. And in his line of work, those two traits rarely came together and when they did the consequences were devastating. Still, there was something about this woman that intrigued him, and even something deeper that begged him to follow her up those stairs…

Author’s Notes
Okay I’m reposting the chapter because I made a tiny mistake about the color of Isah’s hair. I was trying to hurry and read all of it so I could post it and I kinda forgot about it…

chapter seven

Sorry I haven't been around, you guys. I've caught up on the chapters, however, and I am so impressed! You guys are doing an awesome job on this, and I wish I could be around more often to tell you all that. Life gets hectic around this time, being a Senior and all, let alone my life outside of schooling. Gah, you guys... If there is one thing I've learned from all the shit I've been going through... It's that you all must really follow your heart above anything else. It might hurt you and other people, but it's the best. Trust me. It's better that way. Well, yes. Here's Chapter 7 if Michelle wants to post it. It's completely up to her, I don't know if she has someone else planned to write this. So yeah, here you go!

Lea's entrance back inside came loud, clattering across the unstable floorboards and letting the door hit the wall, sending off bursts of dust and a few splinters. Somehow, however, Maz didn't notice. Lea stared at her brother as he gawked heavily at the empty staircase, apparently, Isah had gone upstairs. Deserting her brother in the dim firelight and left to dwell upon memories only he and Isah would ever know. This tweaked at Lea's nerves, making her bunch her fists and shoot a deadly glare up towards the room in which Isah had gone into, she only knew because the soft puffs of dusty old age were still hanging in the air outside of the doorway.
"Maz." Lea's voice was sharp, demanding and utterly intruding. Maz should have jumped, but he didn't.
"Yes, Lea?"
"You love her. Don't you?"
"I love no one, Lea. Except, maybe, you." And without another word, he tossed a gentle glance towards her. She melted under her brother's gaze, the short instant of warmth that he had supplied, knowing that it was the first time since they were kids that she could feel how much he did love her. Cloaked in silence, he turned and left the room, shutting another door gently after he made his way down the hallway. Lea shifted her gaze to the fireplace, waiting for Ekin to enter. She knew what she had to do.

Within a handful of moments, Ekin entered and gave Lea a soft pat on the shoulder. "G'night, girlie." He said faintly, placing a feather light kiss upon her tresses of hair. He then passed her and went into a room not much farther away than Maz's had been. She waited until all movement in the house was gone, every faint whisper of a breath was slow, precise and unconscious. Then she moved up the stairs, gaining a natural trait of cat-like grace and an eerily silent air about her. Quite contradictory for her obrasive manner with which she lived her life.

The door was surprisingly silent when it opened, not a creak was heard. Her shadow spread across the span of the floor, domineering and quite misleading as to her power. It made her look abnormally thin, almost weak. The irony. Without a word, she stepped to the bed that Isah was sprawled upon, and snatched up a fistful of hair, yanking her up into a sitting position, she was naked. It made Lea sick to think that Isah had been waiting for Maz to join her. Isah awoke instantly, and opening her mouth to scream, she found that the barrel of a very cold gun was shoved into her open mouth. Her eyes widened, more scared than she had been in years, as she looked at Maz's sister.
"You say one damn word, and I'll blow a hole through your head. You understand me?"

A tear slid down Isah's cheek as she nodded gently, afraid of moving too quickly in case the gun went off. She stared at Lea, more frightened of the woman's anger than of the gun in her hand.

"I'm only going to tell you this once, if you break Maz's heart I will break every bone in your body. Before I cut your heart out and stuff it down your throat. I don't trust you, nor will I ever, and as far as wanting you to be with my brother goes... I'd die first. I don't need to know you to know that you're nothing more than a manipulative, insecure, self-absorbed bitch. And I have no qualms with knocking your ass out of existence, understand?"

A whimper escaped Isah's throat, her mouth was filling with saliva that she was too scared to swallow. The barrel of the gun wasn't getting any warmer, and the throbbing in her ears was only increasing. Her heartbeat was so fast that she couldn't tell the difference between beats, and her palms were beyond sweaty. She was feeling faint.

"Good. One word of this to Maz, I'll shoot you on the spot."

The gun was removed from Isah's mouth, not gently in any fashion, and the bitter taste of copper filled Isah's mouth. Her head hurt from where Lea had gripped her hair, and she was shaking terribly. Lea tossed a patch of hair at her, apparently having been pulled right out, and left without a goodbye or the decency to close the door.

Not too terribly long, but long enough to get what I wanted across. ^.^ Hope it didn't suck too badly, guys.

Okay, it's about time I cleaned this up. Somehow when I wrote the last chapter under my turn, people just didn't grasp what I was getting at. Now for me to take things into my own hands. .^_^. You have been warned.

Chapter Eight
'Outrage'
RoundRobinRitrs

"Whatever they need me for, it had better be good." The moonlight flickered over the speaker's form, letting a glimpse of her brown hair be seen from behind. However, the quick sliver of light was gone and the woman continued on her way. Contrary to how others saw her, she was very nervous at the prospect of the instrument she had been using. The boys would understand, seeing as they knew about her 'creation slash diversion' before, but the woman had been told of another that would be there. "I bet they didn't even tell her what was going on. Would seem a very Maz and Ekin thing to do...well, more Maz anyway." As her eyes zeroed in on the decided on destination, she began to hurry for many reasons other than her distress of what problems her 'device' could have made in her absence. Either way, she proceeded cautiously.

Nevertheless, when a hushed voice was heard, she almost jumped out of her skin. Grasping tightly to her belongings, she pivoted around to see who had spoken. Finally, her emerald eyes fell on a small window that framed a man with red hair that could be distinquished in the moonlit night. Smiling widely, she made her way over to the window and whispered, "Ekin, I-" He placed a finger over her mouth and pointed over to the entrance. This just added to her distress tenfold. If Ekin was silencing her, then her instrument must have done something wrong. Hurriedly, but with soft footfalls, she made her way to the simplistic threshold.

As Ekin appeared, they both looked at each other intensely. The woman wanted to do something, but the other's actions worried her. In the same low tone, she asked, "What has she done this time? I thought I got all the kinks out of her."

Ekin shook his head and leaned on the doorway. "I think she hit on Maz again like last time and Lea told her off after I said goodnight." Smirking at the woman's frustration before him, he waited for her reaction.

"Damn, I thought I had it right this time, but every time she's near Maz, she gets all messed up." Sighing, she added, "I suppose it was foolish to make a robotic double of myself huh?"

Before he answered, Ekin's eyes wandered longingly over the woman. Long brown hair and the shiny jade eyes...she hadn't changed a bit. Granted the double that had greeted the trio earlier looked just like her, but she most definitely didn't have the mannerisms of the REAL Isah standing before him.

"No, it wasn't stupid Isah. Granted, I believe Maz and I had too much fun toying with Lea about it though. We never told her the woman upstairs isn't you, just a copy. I'm guessing she hates you already though, but she's going to be furious at Maz and me for leading her on." Shaking his head, he concluded, "If she really knew you, she would know how proposterous it was to even think you would act like that towards Maz or that Maz would even act that way towards you. I mean, you have his most treasured gun! That's all he's interested in."

"Lea? Is that the woman you told me about when you contacted me?" He nodded and murmured that she was Maz's sister. Isah's green eyes got big. "Ekin! Uh...you two will never learn. That's just cruel, but if she's Maz's sister, she might have guessed that she was an andriod and not the real deal." She shrugged. "Oh well. I'm sorry I was delayed. I'm sure my double proceeded to make plans with you about Bodo Corp. though, right? She's at least programmed to do that much." As she spoke, she creeped in a little and put her belongings down. Ekin nodded, still resting on the doorway, surveying Isah. "You think Maz is still up? He knew I would be coming."

As the redhead opened his mouth to answer, a much more feminine voice answered, even though clearly outraged. "You tricked me!"

"Well, if he isn't up, he is now."

"Shut up Ekin! I can't believe you and Maz didn't tell me that wasn't Isah. She looked real, I don't believe you!" Lea walked towards the genuine Isah, who lifted her hand as she approached.

"I'll prove it to you." Her jade eyes flicked as she pressed a button of a little device in her palm. Lea's eyes flared as footsteps were heard from the stairs. Once they stopped, Isah said, "Well turn around and look for yourself. I'm unarmed if that's what you are worried about."

Lea hesitated. She didn't know who to trust, but if something was going to be pulled on her, then let it be done. Turning around, her eyes met the sight of the same woman she had harassed just earlier. She was now dressed though, but looked exactly like the woman on the other side of her. Looking back and forth, she floundered to say something.

Ekin laughed a little. As he approached Lea and Isah, he said, "They look almost exactly alike, but their eyes are different. The robot's eyes are darker. Isah's eyes are beautiful." Smirking, he sat down on the arm of the chair Isah was standing near. The brunette just smiled before speaking.

"Sorry about what the two boys pulled on you. Wasn't my idea." Pressing another button, the andriod came closer and Isah pressed something hidden on its neck. It straightened up and shut down. "I have to try and fix her again later. She still doesn't act properly." For a moment, she thought deeply about what she had to do, but then remembered the man sitting near where she was standing. Smiling brightly at Lea, she shouldered out of her coat and tossed it on the chair. Ignoring the footsteps that could clearly be heard, Isah pushed playfully on Ekin, making him sit correctly on the chair and not the arm of the chair. Then, the brunette sat down in his lap, wrapping her arms around his neck. Nudging his cheek with her nose, she murmured, "I missed you..." Her heart ached in her chest. Before going any further, she added, "And thank you for the compliment before."

Ekin smiled as his heart finally warmed with the filling in his arms. He had doubted for a moment that everything between him and Isah would be the same, but his doubts had been wrong. He just wished she had gotten here sooner, so there would have been no confusion, and more importantly, he could have had her in his arms sooner.

Shifting her position a little, she finally swooped up and kissed Ekin. It had been so long since they had been together and she'd be damned if the presence of others would ruin their meeting. Pulling back a little, Isah smiled as did Ekin, but he wasn't finished. Tenderly, he tasted her lips, little by little, ultimately giving into his desires and kissing her fully again.

"They always get like this. I wish they would just get a room." Ekin and Isah paid no mind to Maz's comment, but Lea turned on him. Not being aware of his presence until then, having been occupied with Isah and Ekin's actions, she was ready to set her wrath on him as well. However, the soft look on his face silenced her for a moment. Hands in pockets, he said, "That's what Ekin meant by that they had a good history. Isah and Ekin are together, not me and her. The android always has had the hots for me. Sorry that you got the wrong idea."

By now, Isah was on her knees a little, nuzzled in Ekin's neck. The redhead had a soft look on his face as well as he petted the woman's hair and murmured things to her. All of a sudden a loud arfing met their ears and Isah pulled away to look at the ground. Hex was jumping up and down at the sight of Isah and the woman laughed, scooping the dog up and into her lap which was actually shared with Ekin's. Looking over at Maz, Isah said, "If you're ready to really talk about taking down Bodo Corp., then now's a good a time as any." Her emerald eyes twinkled as Hex licked the side of her face.

Outrage- Chapter Nine

Isah moved swiftly through the small house, gathering up papers from hidden departments throughout each room. Once she was finished she laid all the papers across the worn table and slowly pieced them together. Slowly the misshapen bits of paper formed into a complete picture- the blueprints to Bodo Corp. She waited as Lea studied the papers. From the little that she had already learned about Maz’s sister she knew that her memory was perfect. Isah knew that after Lea emerged from the blueprints she would never need to see them again.
“So what’s your plan?” Maz asked Isah as he joined the sacred circle around the blueprints.
“First, get the dumb android working. If we’re going to pull this off we need her.” She paused for a moment and looked up at Ekin. “Then we’ll let her go in. They’ll think that she’s me and instantly capture her. While that is going on we’ll sneak in.” She pointed to a large office toward the back of the building. “That’s where the main boss stays. I want my revenge on him first. Then we’ll blow the building sky high.” She held out ten different bombs. “These pack quite a punch. You three will have to distribute them to different places across the building. They’ll dentate when I press this button.” She held up a small remote control that she temporarily let shine in the faint light before continuing, “And don’t worry. We’ll get to watch the fireworks from the top of the hill.”
“Sounds like fun,” Lea said, a little mistrust woven within her words.
“Of course it does,” Isah smiled. “Revenge is always sweet.”
“And when will this go down?” Lea asked as she eyed the other woman in the room.
“We’ll leave tomorrow night. The trip there will be fairly short and I know some people who can make it even shorter. Right now I’m going to work on my android. Everyone else is free to either sleep or prepare. I don’t care which one it is as long as you don’t get in my way.”
“Then goodnight,” Lea smiled as she disappeared up the stairs.
“I think I’ll go to sleep too,” Maz said as he began walking toward the stairs. “If for any reason you need me don’t hesitate to wake me up.” And with those last few words he disappeared up the stairs.

Lea sat up on her stiff bed and gazed out at the full moon sky. She rubbed her eyes and her thoughts drifted through the events of the past couple of days. So many things had happened to her and she was left not knowing who to trust. Visions of her parents haunted her dreams. She hadn’t slept well for nights and she had a weird feeling that it wasn’t going to get any better.
She laid down across the covers. Almost instantly her thoughts drifted to Ekin and Isah. She wasn’t sure why but there was something weird about the way Isah acted. It seemed unreal and almost scripted. At times she could open up and make Lea feel welcome but at other times she pushed her away. Lea had met many people like Isah throughout her career and one thing that she had learned was that it never turned out good.
She half mindedly shifted her body across her covers but sleep just didn’t feel right. She pushed herself off of her bed and walked across the dusty floorboards. When she reached the door she turned the doorknob quietly and slowly went out into the darkness of the hallway. Through the blackness that engulfed her she could see a slight bit of movement close to the stairs. She watched as the person disappeared down the stairs before following slowly behind. When she got to the top of the stairs she saw that Isah was working vigorously on the android that she had taken so much pride in. A flash of movement caught her attention in the corner. Then she saw him.
He was rather tall with raven black hair that fell dangerously into his eyes. He watched for a few moments before making his present known.
“Isah.” His voice was hard and cold. He gazed at the woman before him and watched as she bowed down as if given a silent command.
“Yes Master,” she replied as her eyes cast glimpses of the terror that she held inside.
“Is the plan on schedule?”
“Yes Master. They suspect nothing.”
“Remember, if you do not follow this through then Ekin will be killed.”
“I know Master.”
“It’s funny, isn’t it? Wasn’t this how it happened last time? I killed the man you loved because you refused to follow orders? Remember, you thought that you could get away? Do you want to feel that pain again?”
“No Master,” Isah said in response.
“Then I see no reason that this plan will not work. I will be checking up on you again.” He turned around to leave but at the last minute turned around and glanced up toward the staircase. He snapped his fingers. Then everything around Lea drifted into darkness.

Well I hope everyone liked it! I can’t wait to see where this story keeps going!

Sorry this took a little longer than usual with me. I have writer's block still, so I'm going to wing it. Excuse me if it is poorly written, but I am going to try.

Chapter Ten
'Outrage'
RoundRobinRitrs

As the thud of Lea's body resounded at the top of the stairs, Isah swiveled around on her heel. Then she turned back to leer at the shadowed man. Raising her hand, the man nodded in understanding. He remained where he was as the brunette took the stairs two at a time. Slowly, she kneeled over Lea, examining as carefully as she could. Softly, under her breath, Isah murmured, "Well, you've done it again."

For a moment she considered carrying Lea herself, but then thought against it. Looking down the stairs at the raven-haired man, she said more clearly, "You might as well come up here. They'll have to see you sooner or later anyway. I'll have to explain about Lea's condition and without you, it won't make any sense." She looked away from the enigma of a man as his footsteps echoed off the walls as he did as she said. Weighing her options, she finally yelled out, "Maz! Get down here!" She would have left Lea alone with the man, but seeing the circumstances it wasn't the best idea.

Rushed footfalls were heard signaling that Maz was soon to appear. His eyes gleamed from the strands of moonlight that filtered into the small landing that was at the top of the stairs. He crouched over his unconscious sister, his hand tenderly finding her own. Quickly, his eyes snapped up to look at Isah and then finally registered the unknown male behind her on the top-most steps of the stairs. Unfortunately, no matter how hard he tried, his tone came across harsh and cold. "What happened?"

Isah sighed and rolled her eyes as she leaned back, settling herself on the top stair. Running her hand halfway through her hair, she replied, "Just another unfortunate misunderstanding." Her emerald met Maz's and his muscles visiably relaxed. Just for a moment he had thought that the brunette had joined the many who had tricked him after he had given them his trust, but from the candid reaction, Maz could tell Isah was sincere. Plus, very very tired.

Another set of footsteps could be heard, just a bit more clumsy than the first. This time Ekin's redhead poked into the tiny area. As he approached the four, he rubbed the back of his neck. "This reeks of Lea's mistrust." A smirk twitched on the edges of his mouth as he made his way over to Maz's side.

The silvery-haired brother took the break in conversation to shift from the balls of his feet to his backside which he then in turned stretched out his legs. Almost imitating Isah's movements he raked his hand through his hair. "Well, I suppose we are going to get an explanation, no?" Isah nodded her head lazily and then reached up to pull on the dark-haired man's coat. Mechanically he sat down on the step below the brunette.

Sitting up straight, Isah proceeded to clear up the confusion and suspicion. "It's very simple. First, do you know who this is?" As Isah pointed to the unknown man, Maz and Ekin both shook their heads, the redhead now perched against the threshold nearer to Isah than all the others. "Well, earlier I said I wanted to get my revenge on Bodo Corp.'s boss right? You both knew that, so before I got word from you both, before I knew you were even going to attempt anything against them, I started a plan of my own. It involves the android a bit, but that could mean I might have to tweak the plan from earlier." Isah halted in her explanation, clearly thinking out what she was going to say. "See, I wasn't sure if it would work out, so the tentative plan was to let the android get caught and they would think it was me. However, this is where this boy gets involved. I wasn't sure if it would work, so I wasn't counting on it. That's why I didn't mention it before. Then I got to thinking. The android needed work and that could involve the plan I had in the works before I heard from you guys. See, I built another android that looks exactly like the boss, the man I'm going to get. From my last encounter with him, I had a voice clip. Besides that I didn't need much." Flicking her thumb over to the neutral looking man, she clarified. "That's him. The android of the boss. My plan before was to get the real boss to think I was on his side. That way I could get him in the end. I used the android once to visit him. He bought it, but I aborted that plan almost immediately because my android couldn't be counted on. Too many glitches, you know? Then when you guys came along and told me what you wanted, the old plan had its promises. Like I said we could still go along with the plan from earlier, let her get caught and so on, but ingest this. What if she served not only as me to get captured, but a distraction from what is really going on. I was preparing for that when Lea came snooping. I had the boss android going through the likely scenario that the real boss would probably go through if he saw the android me again. I was having the copy of me recording the situation in its drive. That way it would know how I should react to fool him, my mannerisms, his voice and how to react to what he says." Making an annoyed noise, her eyes looked down at Lea who was still unconscious. "However, like I said, Lea peeked in and thought it was the real deal I guess. I got the scenario downloaded into the android just fine, but she still isn't fine tuned yet."

"We could try it again." Both boys almost jumped out of their skins when the man spoke.

Isah shook her head. "It won't be necessary. It went fine. I still have to fix her up to par before we make any moves though. I suppose that explains everything now. I wasn't going to mention the whole boss android thing unless I was able to prepare everything tonight. If I couldn't then there would be no point in telling you."

It was the brunette's turn to jump when she felt someone pull on her hair. It was Ekin who was sliding some hair out of her face to be able to see her better. "Why did Lea pass out though?"

Jade eyes rolled and the male android covered his mouth as it formed into a smile, his form shaking a bit from the beginnings of laughter. Smacking him on the side from her position, Isah said irritatedly, "Oh you shut up. I know I'm not a total genius, but you don't have to rub it in." The raven-haired robot couldn't take it anymore and let his laughter run free as the two boys watched on in shock. "Uhh! This is so annoying!" Isah got up and glared at the android who was almost in tears, if that were possible. Looking at both Maz and Ekin, she said, "Look, I can't make androids perfect okay? My double has the hots for Maz and the cackling fool can seduce any woman besides myself. I suppose Lea wasn't prepared for his 'intense stare'." With that, the brunette turned on her heel and marched down the stairs to continue her work. The two men followed as did the robot, leaving Lea sleeping.

"Are you saying that no matter what you do, you keep making androids with some type of sexual implications?" Maz couldn't help but smirk. He was starting to see why the boss android find the whole situation hilarious.

Isah kicked something on the floor and answered. "Yeah, so? They work besides that little glitch. I can't help that one look from him makes females faint!"

Ekin started to laugh, but wrapped his arms around Isah from the back. Murmuring into her hair, he said, "Don't worry, we won't hold it against you."

No matter how disgruntled the brunette was, she managed a smile and turned around in his hold. "Okay..." Stealing a lingering kiss before she went back to work, she said, "I have to finish here. You guys sleep on what you want to do."

Looking questioningly at the male android, Maz asked, "You mean just using her for means of capture or making the boss believe you are on his side while we are about to kill him and blow the whole building up?" Isah nodded, but squeaked when Ekin took that moment to squeeze an admirable amount of her underside. The redhead remained looking innocent, but couldn't help but smile.

"We'll leave you to work. Don't stress too much. You need your sleep too." Maz had made it up the stairs and was picking up Lea.

"Maz!" He looked back at Isah who had called and saw that the male android was slumped over, his inner workings showing through his back. "Just in case you thought I was tricking you. Give you less to worry about if you see I'm telling the truth." He nodded appreciatingly. Ekin followed suit to leave her to work. Tomorrow night they moved out and the anticipation was growing.

Crap, I wrote a lot. Too bad .^_^.

Chapter 11
‘Outrage’
RoundRoubinRitrs

Isah’s face went from concerned to a smirk the instant both boys were out of sight. She looked at the place that Lea had fainted, and her smirk became cold.

“Stupid girl, she should have learned never to eavesdrop on other people’s conversations” Isah said. She grimaced suddenly, and shook her head. “No, not again” She whispered softly.

Isah then turned to the slumped figure next to her. “You can stop pretending now, Master.” Isah said lightly. The fear crept back into her stomach, and she didn’t know if that was a good thing or a bad thing.

“Don’t tell me what to do Isah,” The man snarled. He straightened himself out again. “I am the one who tells you what to do, not vice versa.”

“Yes, Master.” Isah whispered. She bowed her head, and a curtain of her brown hair hid her face. The man reached out, and lifted her head up by placing his fingers underneath her chin.

“Come now, don’t be sad! This is for the good of humanity. The whole plan is! I thought you’d love it, being the environmentalist tree-hugger you are.” The man said with a tinge of sarcasm.

“I never was an environmentalist, nor was I ever a tree-hugger.” Isah said lamely. “But, you already know all of that.”

The man didn’t answer. He placed his hand by his side, and his eyes traveled to the spot where Lea had been standing only a few minuets ago. His eyes narrowed.

“That girl could cause the whole plan to go up in flames. I want you to keep an eye on her. I want you to become her best friend.” The man said finally.

“What? But she hates me. She is extremely mistrusting and she has a chip on her shoulder the size of
Russia. Besides, she threatened to kill my android because she thought I was going to hurt Mazrik. She could kill me in a heart beat if she wanted to.” Isah explained.

“But she won’t. She doesn’t want to hurt Ekin. If she kills you, it will destroy him. He’d never talk to her again.” The man said in a tone that screamed he knew everything. The man took a breath.

“Find out her strengths, weakness, why she mistrusts, and her past. Anything else you found out will be just as good. And, remember our other plan as well.” The man said. He straightened out his clothes, and spun around to face the door.

“I hope to see you and your little android real soon, Isah.” The man said, laughing cruelly. He opened the door, and he was gone.

Isah let out a deep breath. There was no way she would be able to make the girl open up to her. Isah rubbed her temples, and tried to think about what she had been doing before. Oh yes, she had been reading Harry Potter.

Isah smiled at the thought. It was reading teens and children’s books what really calmed her frazzled nerves the most. Isah crossed her arms over her chest. t least in Harry Potter, if you needed someone to tell you the truth, all you had to do was give them a potion. That’d certainly make this whole thing so much easier.

“How did I get myself in such a horrible predicament?” Isah thought aloud. She stared at the lifeless android. A smirk formed on her face, for thinking that a hunk of metal could be full of life. Sure, it’d act human, but it could never feel anything.

“I wish I could go back in time. You know, before…before I met Ekin…before…before he was killed.” Isah said to the android. No response came from it. “I think I would have a better conversation with Hex than I would with you, even if you were up and running.”

Isah sat in the chair. Ekin. She tried not to think about him lately. She didn’t want to let herself become even more attached to him than she already was.

A few summers ago was when she first saw Ekin. She had gone down to the lake to find her cat, Groucho, but what she saw definitely wasn’t the cat. A tall red-haired man stood in the lake, completely nude, and he was bathing. Isah had let out an audible gasp, and he had whipped around, exposing his entire front.

“Holy shit!” He had screamed. He dove back into the water, for he did not want the mystery girl to see anything more than she already had.

“I’m sorry.” She called back. “I was looking for my cat…I didn’t think anyone was in the lake…Why are you in the lake?”

“Because I decided that I stunk, and the lake was the first thing that I saw.” The man had said simply.

The memory faded away, and Isah’s eyes refocused. She hadn’t known he was Elkin at the time. When she met him again, she couldn’t stop thinking about him. The feminist tomboy part of her personality faded away, and she was filled with love.

But then he was gone.

All she received to fill the void were letters that only came four times a year. Granted, they were long letters, but her heart wouldn’t stop aching. Her father started to spend a lot of time with her after that.

Isah shook her head. She didn’t want to think about her father, but the memories engulfed her.

“Stop it!” She screamed. The pictures in front of her eyes vanished instantly. Seconds later, two pairs of footsteps rushed down the stairs.

“What happened? Demanded a slightly out of breath Maz. Ekin just looked at her concerned.

“Oh nothing, the android was just acting a bit out of control,” Isah lied casually. “So I lost my temper and screamed at it.

Lea’s POV

Lea sat up in bed, startled. Isah’s screaming had jolted out of her nightmare, and she didn’t know whether to be grateful or pissed off. Lea sighed and ran her fingers through her hair. The conversation from earlier played in her head.

“That bitch…she’s tricking us!” Lea whispered, as though it had just dawned on her. Lea jumped out of bed, and she was fully prepared to kill Isah.

“No, not yet.” A voice in her head said warningly. Lea stopped dead in her tracks.

“And why the hell not?” Lea asked dangerously.

“Just don’t. There will be the opportunity, don’t worry.” The voice said again. Lea shook her head, and pocketed the gun. She went out of the room, and prepared to go down the stairs.

At the foot of the stairs, Maz and Ekin stood, looking at Isah. Lea started to head down the stairs, but then a thought struck her.

“Who was the person the man killed?” Lea shouted down to Isah. Lea cringed slightly. The sentence made no sense whatsoever. Isah looked down to the ground, not saying anything. Lea ran down the stairs. Once she was at the bottom, Isah still hadn’t said anything.

“Well?” Lea asked rudely

“My father.” Isah said. She then turned around and walked out the door.

Notes: Urgh! I hate being forced to go to
Wisconsin. I had no internet access, and I had to beg Michelle (I think that’s your name…please don’t hurt me if it’s not.) to let me post this a day late. I’m so sorry if it is horrible; I am currently being senselessly, mercilessly, and horribly beaten by headache and allergy demons.

I also know that there are probably a few spelling and grammar errors. I didn’t have the opportunity to give it to my editor/beta-reader.

This was the plot bunny I smelled in the last chapter, and if it completely ruined the plot and everything, you can take it out.

On another note, I had wanted to do Lea’s dream, but I didn’t have enough time. If it is plausible, can I have another night scene?

Outrage Chapter Twelve

As Isah stared up into the darkness of the night sky thousands of memories ran through her mind. She could see herself as a child, running playfully through her field. Not far behind her had been her father. He was laughing as he tried to catch his little girl.
“Why did you have to go?” Isah asked the night as she wiped the tears from her eyes. “Everything was fine when you were here. I had never felt fear until after you died. He will pay for what he did to you but I can’t let him hurt Ekin. I can’t lose him too.”
“Nothing’s going to happen to me,” Ekin said as he emerged out of the place where he had been hiding. “And no one is ever going to hurt you again.” He walked over to Isah and put his arms around her. “I promise you you’ll never have to be afraid again.”
“I love you,” Isah smiled. “I want you to always know that, no matter what happens to us in the end.”
“I love you too,” Ekin said before he softly kissed Isah on the lips. “Let’s go back inside.”
“Okay,” Isah replied. She took a quick glance around the place where they stood. She thought she saw two eyes staring back at her from the trees but by the time she blinked they were gone.

“There is no way that the man I saw earlier was an android!” Lea shouted as she looked deep into Maz’s eyes. “I saw him talking to her and moving like a human does-”
“But,” Maz interrupted. “The Isah android fooled you. What makes you think this is different?”
Lea paused for a second. “At first I was fooled by that dumb machine but now I can tell thousands of differences between the android and the real thing.” She sighed when she saw that Maz still didn’t believe her. “Above all else it’s a gut feeling. I’ve always relied on my instincts. They haven’t failed me before. Why should they now?”
“Lea sometimes you’re wrong,” Maz said as he turned to go back upstairs. “You think you’re always right but you’re not. Isah loves Ekin and she would never do anything to hurt him. Sometimes you have to trust me, Lea. The world isn’t as dark as you think it is.”
Lea just watched as Maz disappeared into the darkness. “Yes it is,” Lea said softly. “Yes it is.”

“Should I trust her?” Lea asked the emptiness of her room. “Ekin does seem to like her. What if I’m overreacting? What if I misunderstood everything that I heard? It could have been an android, couldn’t it?”
“You know better,” the darkness replied. “If you would have followed your instincts earlier, maybe you’re parents wouldn’t be dead.”
“I know,” Lea sighed. “I should have known what Bodo Corp. was up to long before anything happened. I should have known that my parents were going to become their slaves.”
“Yes you should have,” a voice said and this time the voice was real. Vaguely Lea could remember hearing this voice before. She quickly scanned her room but all she saw were shadows. “You could have saved them my dear Lea. You could have saved them all.”
Instantly thousands of images began racing through Lea’s mind. She could see thousands of people, all being forced to follow the orders of Bodo Corp. Then the images followed a darker route. She could then see all the people being killed to stop the madness. But Lea knew that the madness was far from over.
“Whoever you are go away,” Lea said to the shadows. “You’re not welcome here.”
“But don’t you see?” The voice replied. “You weren’t meant to be their savoir. You were meant to be their leader.”
“And what does all this destruction lead to?” Lea questioned. “All any of this can do is bring more pain. I’ve lost too many friends at the expense of my anger. I’m not ready to lose more.”
“Why not dear Lea? Imagine the wondrous things that you can accomplish with power. You could put an end to suffering and give the world a leader that will show them the true way. Bodo Corp. can help you reach that goal. We’re not bad people Lea, you just have yet to see our true path. Imagine a world without hunger. Imagine a world without pain. Can you not see the true beauty of our goal?”
“But how many will be lost to reach this goal. I’m not willing to sacrifice millions in order to save the rest. Yes this world is lost but this is not the way to help it. The world doesn’t need a dictator. It needs someone who can bring back hope.” She paused and looked around the room, knowing that she was alone again. “Goodbye then,” she said softly. “I know we’ll meet again.”

Well I hope you liked it. I know it wasn’t that long but it accomplished everything that I wanted it to… well… can’t wait for the next chapter!!!

Outrage
Chapter 13

by Holly

Isah sat on a cold, metal stool in her make-shift laboratory. She rested her head in her left hand, her right typing lines of code into the brain of a tiny Audio-Visual Robot. She finished and began unhooking the hair-thin wires when she heard a soft click behind her.

"Funny, I didn't hear you come in," Isah said lightly, forcing a smile.

"Let that be a warning," Lea growled. She circled around the other woman, her gun aimed at her forehead. "You're lying. I know you are."

Isah sighed. She clicked the tiny latch on the robot closed, and its legs began to twitch. She set it down on the table and the roach-like robot skittered across the table to join two others hiding in the shadow of two aluminum canisters that were set side-by-side. "I'm sorry about the android—"

The fairer woman scoffed and broke eye contact. She glanced around the laboratory—if one could call it that—and took in the location of each piece of equipment. Outdated computers, microscopes and machinery most likely acquired off the black market, the garage-sized room was a mess. Isah shifted impatiently in her seat, and Lea's focus returned to the second woman.

"If you make one wrong move, I will smash your pretty little face and send a bullet through your skull."

"You're being unreasonable, Lea. I'm not—"

The doorknob twitched and Lea's gun slipped from her hands into the holster. The two women whirled around, smiling forcibly as the intruder entered the room.

"Um…Am I interrupting something?" Maz asked carefully.

"Oh, just a girls-only bonding session!" Lea said. Her voice was a little louder than she intended, and Maz quirked an eyebrow.

"Right. Ekin and I are loading the trikes, Isah. He said I should ask you if there were any alterations we should know about."

Isah smirked. "Tell him I'll be there in a minute. Lea and I are just finishing up on the Roaches."

"Play nice," Maz warned his sister before disappearing behind the gray door.

As soon as his footsteps had faded, Lea tore her gun from its place by her hip. She was mildy surprised to find that Isah had slipped her own weapon out of a drawer and aimed it between Lea's eyes. The women stood in a silent standoff for several minutes.

"You're a traitor!" Lea accused, unceremoniously kicking a chair out of her way; Isa flinched when it knocked over a piled of boxes, sending them clattering onto the tile floor.

"You pointed your gun at me; it's self defense," she protested.

"You're going to sell us out to Bodo Corp!"

"How could I do that, Lea? Think about it. I love Ekin!"

"I don't believe you."

"No, I guess you don't." Isah paused, defeated, and set her gun on the table in full view of Lea. She pulled her hand away and took a sidelong step. "But what would you know about love?"

Isah turned around before Lea could answer, giving the woman a clear shot of her as she gathered up the roaches and set them in a compact, metal box. She took the smaller canister, too, and shoved both items into a pouch attached to her belt. Lea stood, dumbfounded.

"Are you coming?" Isah asked, peering over her shoulder. She pushed open the door and held it wide while Lea regained her composition.

"I don't trust you."

"I don't expect you to."

"Good."

Maz and Ekin waited outside by three trikes, all of which had been painted a dull black. A wrench in his hand, Maz was attempting to adjust something behind the front wheel.

"No! Give me that!" Isah shouted, seeing him crouched beside the vehicle. She pushed him out of the way and tore the wrench from his grip. Lea came up behind Ekin, who watched the scene with vague amusement, and let out a long, loud sigh.

"What?" Ekin asked, cocking his head to the side.

"Just a little tense."

"Maz said you and Isah were finishing up the Roaches so we can use them. Things work out?"

Ekin was mildly aware that something had transpired further between the girls, but he had no intention of pressing the issue. Lea appeared harried as it was and—

"Things worked out," Lea answered, and she grinned uncharacteristically. Ekin was taken aback even moreso when she playfully punched him in the shoulder and announced, "Let's do this."

Maz shrugged when Ekin shot him a questioning glance, and the two men mounted their trikes. Isah shouted any last-minute instructions as she climbed behind Ekin, all too happy to allow Lea to navigate her own vehicle. With a thundering roar that soon fell into a hum, the three trikes raced down the road away from Isah's home and toward their next destination.

Don't have a lot of time, so I might take two days to do this. My apologies if it turns out bad.

Chapter Fourteen
'Outrage'
RoundRobinRitrs

Thoughts kept running through each of the minds as they closed in on Bodo Corp. Each different, but all having one unifying goal - total destruction. Even as both Lea and Maz were idly thinking about their lost parents, neither of then detered in what they had set out to do in the least.

However, as Isah held on tight to Ekin, her hair whipping in the wind they were creating, she would have never guessed what obstacle that they would come across next. She was the least likely. It was more surprising that the other three hadn't considered what was about to happen. It should have been more obvious, but in the excitement and anxiety of the preparations, all thoughts had focused on their success.

So it came as quite a shock as both Maz and Ekin's trikes veered off, nearly crashing. Neither of the boys were hurt, amazingly stopping their vehicles before any damage was done. Isah was unharmed as well, but remained confused as to what was going on. Lea had to turn back to even realize something had happened, but once she saw she wanted to kick herself for not thinking of it sooner.

As she began to dismount, Isah was hovering over Ekin and Maz, an extremely worried look in her jade eyes. "Lea, what's going on?"

Lea hunkered down as well and looked at her brother and Ekin. "It's a hitch that the three of us should have known would come up. I suppose we forgot about it since the last time the boys had a fit was a while off." Isah's eyes were burning into her as she waited for a more thorough explanation. "When they were in Bodo Corp.'s possession, they implanted a device in both of their heads. Whenever they please, they can set it off and according to the boys, they hear a piercing set of bells in their heads. Last time..." Her voice drifted off as her mind somehow put everything together. The images of the memory when Maz and Ekin last heard the bells was clear in her mind's eye. Without saying more, she pivoted on her heel in her crouched position, her eyes looking wildly around.

The brunette beside her wished Lea would say more, but once Isah saw her reaction, she caught on. Looking once more at Ekin and Maz's squirming forms, Isah decided that she better act fast. They were obviously in pain and if they didn't do something soon, they might be two men short.

Again she considered Lea who was still looking around meticulously, her eyes now narrowed. It was evident to Isah that the last time the two men had the devices triggered someone had been around. She couldn't be wrong or Lea wouldn't be looking around like she was. Without hesitation, Isah pulled out a sleek gun from the back of her pants, a slight click being the only indication that she had cocked the gun. With her back to where Lea was surverying, she held the gun tightly as she stood.

Lea finally took this moment to notice what Isah was doing. Her eyes flickered with the tiniest bit of respect for Isah. It surprised her that the brunette had caught on so quickly, but then she surmised she probably had been looking around like a wildcat.

"Uhh..." A rather loud grunt from the writhing men below them snapped them out of their brief silent connection. Both of their legs were kicking in pointless hopes that the bells would stop. For a split second, Maz's eyes flickered up at Isah, breaking from their usual scrunched up state. They grew big suddenly even through his struggle and he recognized what Isah was holding. It was the gun Ekin and him had been discussing at the shack when they were deciding to alert Isah. His most prized possession, trophy, his favorite gun....Again something he had forgotten about, but silently was glad that Isah had it on her. Whoever was out there would wish they weren't.

His short interim of thought was interrupted by another strong bout of the bells. Regardless, Isah had seen the recognition in his eyes. In something that turned out to be hardly a whisper, Isah spoke. "Lea, do you see anyone?"

Silvery hair glistening as Lea moved foward on the balls of her feet, she peered around one last time. "It's different this time. Before I nailed them in seconds."

"Might be cloaked, huh?" Lea's eyes rounded on Isah and was again astounded by her inference. She had just herself thought of that. Nevertheless, this didn't stop Lea from not trusting Isah totally. They had only just gotten to an understanding before they left. Without saying a word, Lea nodded in agreement. The boys' condition was getting worse.

With a soft sigh, Isah took one step back. Closing her eyes, she used her senses to detect anyone around her. Whoever they were, they were good, much better than the man Lea had probably taken care of. Unlike when Lea had the encounter with the Bodo Corp. employee, Isah didn't hear any movement. Instead, she felt an inhuman hush pass over her. The hushed noise was coming from her left, standing clear in the middle of the field....

To her it seemed like forever, but from Lea's point of view it was as if Isah was triggered herself, just like a gun. The brunette took a stance, positioning her legs quickly, raised her arms, tilted her head and shot. Her movements were as fast as a catapult when set off. There was a ghastly moan in the air and something almost weightless hit the ground. Smoke was rising from where Isah had targeted. She was just lowering her gun, eyeing the spot curiously.

The movement below the two girls stopped. Isah kneeled down after securing the gun again and cupped Ekin's face. "How do you feel?"

"Like I could really use a pain killer." She smiled at his attempt at humor, but went to wipe away the blood that had came out of his nose. Petting him softly on the cheek, Ekin smiled. "Don't worry. No permanent damage."

Maz was cleaning himself up under the concerned gaze of his sister. Lea wasn't going to do it for him, but that didn't stop her from worrying. "Where is the person who triggered the bells?"

"In the smoke." Lea peered over to the spot. "I think they are starting to materialize. They were cloaked before." One look from her brother and she extended a hand to him in understandment. "Let's go check it out."

I know. Not so much progress, but remember, there are 25 chapters to fill. I know this chapter turned out like crap and like I said above, my apologies are given.

Outrage
Chapter 15

The four of them walked rather quickly over to where the smoke was rising. When they reached the spot, Maz let out a loud swear.

“Looks like it was only one of Bodo Corp many lackeys.” Isah said a bit disgusted. “Too bad, I was actually expecting to have killed someone with a bit of power.” Ekin rested a hand on Isah’s shoulder.

“You’ll get the opportunity.” Ekin said, looking lovingly at Isah. Behind them, Maz let out a theatrical gagging noise. Isah and Ekin both turned and glared at him.

“What?” Maz asked casually. He noted the looks on their faces. “Oh, don’t give me that look. You too have been acting all sappy, and I’ve had to watch it and hear it all this time.”

Isah’s face broke out in a smile. In a sympathetic tone of voice she cooed, “Oh, poor Mazrik feels all alone. He wants somebody to cuddle with, and whisper sweet sentiments to…”

Maz waved his hand, as if he were trying to shut her up, “Don’t try acting all sensitive. I don’t need it. Besides, I don’t need some woman creating all that drama; I already have the love of my life.” He cradled his backpack in his muscular arms.

Ekin smiled. He then looked over at the uncharacteristically silent Lea. Her eyes were focused on the body, and a look of pity played across her face.

“Are you okay, Lea?” Ekin asked concerned. Lea didn’t say anything. Maz and Isah turned around, and looked over at Lea. Lea then knelt down next to the body.

“It wasn’t a man. It was just a stupid android.” Lea said in an aggravated tone of voice. She gently pulled something out of its hand, and showed it to the two men. “By the way, this is what is controlling you.”

It was a small metal box with a big blue button right in the middle of it. It gleamed in the sunlight, and it looked like it was almost begging to be activated.

“Ooo…shiny…” Maz said jokingly. He chuckled a bit, almost as if he were laughing at his own joke. Isah, on the other hand, just looked at Lea with a look of mistrust on her face.

“How do you know? Maybe that button is used for something else!” Isah exclaimed.

“I’m just guessing.” Lea said in her own defense. “Do you have any other bright ideas of what it could be?”

Isah shook her illustrious head. “No, but I think we should push the button. Then, we’ll see what it really does.” Her eyes gleamed with malice.

“NO!” the two boys shouted at the same time. Isah turned to look at them.

“Don’t worry you two, Lea is wrong. The button is probably for something else.” Isah said, grinning sweetly.

“Why you son of a…”Lea started to say. Isah grabbed the button out of her hand. “Hey! Give that back!” Lea cried childishly.

“Lea, sweetie, grow up.” Isah said a bit lamely. She placed the button in the palm of her hand. Ekin and Maz stared at her.

“Isah…I…” Ekin started to say. But before he could continue, Isah pushed the button.

Both boys let out an ear piercing scream and fell over. They thrashed around on the ground, as if they were both having an epileptic seizure.

“Oh yeah, Isah, I was wrong.” Lea shrieked. “You knew exactly what the button did, didn’t you? You really are on their side, aren’t you? You are a son of a fucking bitch!” Lea went over to Isah, and punched her right in the nose. Blood squirted from it, and it looked like it was bent at a funny angle.

“You broke my nose!” Isah screamed. Lea shrugged her shoulders, and she looked as if she could care less. Isah glared at her, and then suddenly, kicked Lea in the back of the head.

Stars instantly appeared in Lea’s eyes, and a throbbing pain pulsated from the injury. Lea started to walk towards Isah, but she grew light headed and dizzy. Suddenly, Lea fell to the ground, unconscious.

Isah looked down at her, and a look of horror formed on her face. She then looked at the two boys, and tears started to form in her eyes. “I’m not working for them, but the way I just acted, it looks like I am!”

“Why don’t you tell them about the chip that I implanted in your head, Isah?” A voice said from behind the tree.

“Boss!” Isah said stiffening.

The man stepped out from behind the tree. “Tsk tsk, look at the mess you made. Three people all unconscious, and you did it all.”

“I didn’t mean to!” Isah said, tears streaking down her face.

“No, I made you do it.” The man said. “Now, why don’t you give me that button and I’ll let you be on your merry little way.”

Isah nodded, and placed the button in his hand. The man smiled.

“That’s a good girl. Now, before I go, I want to let you in on a little tidbit. You can tell all your little friends that Bodo Corp has their mutt.” The man said. He then turned and walked away.

Notes: Oh my god, this was one of the worst chapters I have ever written in my life.

I am so sorry for the delay. I owe everyone an explanation. So, here goes (Michelle, you don’t have to read this, since you already know.)

I had the chapter all typed up by Wednesday night, and I was going to post it Thursday morning. It was all nice and edited and perty. So, Thursday morning comes rolling in, and I go to my computer. I start to save the story to a disk, and my computer crashes.

Kaput. I cry (My whole life is on it…okay, sue me, I’m a computer geek.), and my mother comes running. I tell her that it crashed, and she tells me that we can’t go get it fixed until Sunday. Then, she tells me the bad news. I have to go and visit my aunt in Hick town,
Illinois (My words, not hers.).

We get into an argument, I’m grounded, and yet, I am still forced to go. My good friend Charlote types Michelle a note… and I tell her what to type (well, two if you count the one about the computer crashing).

The Goddess Michelle not only understands the situation, but gives me an extension. So, she deserves a crown of jewels. Lol.

So, I re-typed it all at Charlote’s and I am posting it now. I know, it is filled with grammar and spelling errors, and I know it makes no sense. Please, bear with me. I had no one to edit it, and I really don’t feel good.

Sorry that it is so short. I wanted to do a lot more, but…yeah.

Sairi.

Outrage Chapter 16

Slowly the darkness gave way to light. Lea looked around the almost empty wasteland that spread out around her. She rubbed her head in an almost protective manner, trying desperately to recall what had happened. She glanced around at Maz and Ekin, both of which were still unconscious. As her memories suddenly flooded back she stood up and searched for Isah.
“That little-” Lea began but stopped as she noticed a small chip lying on the ground. Hesitantly she reached down and picked up the dust covered disk. She wiped away the dirt to reveal the greenish color underneath.
“I haven’t seen one of these in ages,” Lea exclaimed as she fingered the object. She turned around and began walking back today their wrecked vehicles, intend on finding the personal computer that would allow her to access the disk’s information. Her hand sized computer instantly detected the files within the chip, each entry having a different date and time. She went to the end of the list and clicked on the oldest entry. Instantly an image of Isah appeared on the screen. She was slightly younger looking with much shorter hair. Her face portrayed the fear inside of her and her blood red eyes told the world that she had been crying.
“I’m in Bodo Corp,” Isah said frantically. “This place is falling apart. They implanted a chip into my father which made him attack me. I was forced to fight back.” Isah began crying again. “I was forced to kill him. They found out what I did and took me as a captive. They implanted a chip into me as well. I’m not sure if it is the same kind that my father had. I just pray I don’t turn into the monster that Bodo Corp made him to be. I’m in the cooling vents right now. Escape seems impossible at the moment. I know better than try. I must make this entry to let the world know what Bodo Corp is up to. If I am caught I will be killed. I will be forced to stay here until they let me go. If I never make it out Ekin, I love you.”
And with those last few words the younger Isah disappeared off the screen to be replaced by the main menu. Lea was about to make another selection when she caught the date of the newest entry. It had been made today. Quickly she clicked unto the item and watched as the current Isah flashed onto the screen.
“If you are reading this I take it that Lea found the disk. I’m sorry but I had to leave you. I couldn’t stand hurting you three again. As you probably know I have a chip in me like the ones that have already disrupted so many lives. I just pray that I will not become what they did. I do not know the limits to what they can hear or see me do but I know that they know much. I am making this entry in a last effort to tell you the truth. I may be killed but I’m going to try to take down Bodo Corp myself. At this point I have little to lose. Giving my life to save you will be much better than being controlled to do something which I do not want to do. I just pray that you understand. My master says that he has your dog but do not worry. I will make sure that he isn’t harmed. I will save him. You have my word. If I do fail, which I am positive I will, back up plans and maps of Bodo Corp are in earlier files. I can assure you that those files have not been seen by Bodo Corp. I have not even seen them myself. Good luck and I know that you wish me the same. Until we see each other again, either in this life or the next. Tell Ekin I love him.”
And with that the screen flashed back to the main menu.
Lea just stared into the silence. She could not believe that she had been wrong all along. Isah was good and she was going to try to save the life of someone who had pushed her away. Silently Lea swore to save Isah no matter what. She looked back to where Maz and Ekin were laying before deciding what she must do. She quickly reached into her bag and pulled out a small device, a pen, and a white piece of paper. She quickly wrote a small note to Ekin and Maz, explaining what she was going to do. Then she walked over to where they lay and clicked a button on the device. Instantly a force field appeared around where they stood. Lea gently lay down the piece of paper before walking out of the doom.
“Goodbye,” Lea whispered to the two boys before running off into the distance where she knew Bodo Corp lay.

Watching from a small camera hidden in a tree, the master smiled a smile of satisfaction.
“My dear Isah you said that you could never gain her trust. Look how easy it became. With just a few made up files you showed her exactly what she needed to see. You should be proud.”
“Yes Master,” Isah replied without looking toward him. She could feel the hot tears run down her cheeks. She hated that life had to go this way but there was no other path. She looked back at the looming screen and watched as Maz and Ekin began stirring. She knew that their loyalty would bring them here too. She just hoped that none of them got hurt.

Well I hope you liked it! I know it’s really short but you should be getting used to my chapters being short by now. Well I can’t wait to see where the story continued to go. It’s great so far and it just keeps getting better. Until the next chapter!

Chapter Seventeen
"Fully Automated"

Lea arrived at the edge of a long stretch of land. Where trees had once grown now law rotten stumps and mounds of dry, dead earth. In the distance, Lea could see Bodo Corp's grand fortress. It was one of several scattered across the continent.

Lea unfolded a small, black package and set it on the ground. The micro-EMP would disable any cameras within 100 feet, setting them on 20 minutes of replay until someone notice the error. Lea hoped it wouldn't take her that long to cross the barren ground and get inside the building.

Secondly, the EMP would safeguard her from any of Bodo's booby traps. Like a paranoid king in his moat-surrounded castle, the CEO was terrified of company spies and revenge-seeking orphans.

And he had every right to be.

Lea checked the battery power on her cloak, a poncho that would keep her more or less invisible to the security cameras and any of the guards. She put her hand on the holster of her gun and took a breath.

Now or never.

Lea ran. Fifty feet and she'd be safe from the booby traps. One hundred and the EMP would be useless. She'd have half a mile before reaching the first fence. A double fence with eight underfed, bloodthirsty dogs. Lea winced, remembering a previous engagement with one of those dogs and a crescent-shaped scar on her calf. The fences were electrified, too. At least nine feet at their lowest.

Lea was terrified.

She scanned the ground in front of her, looking for something. A sapling. It's leaves were yellow and gold. Lea ran just to the right of it and stopped suddenly. And painfully. She hit a nerve, and lightening shit through her leg. But Lea couldn't think about that now.

She waited, and the ground beneath her began to feel less stable. There was a rumble, and the earth swallowed her whole.

When her eyes adjusted to the dark, Lea was in a cage with at least three dead animals and a terrified gopher that cowered in one corner. Ignoring the stench, she ran her fingers along the wall until she found an indent. Lea pressed her fingers against it and a two foot by two foot window appeared in the wall.

Lea was in the catch for the maintenance passages beneath the land surrounding the fortress. She, Ekin and her brother had learned about it only months ago. The catch was for unfortunate animals who stumbled onto one of the hatches, but now that the system was fully automated, Bodo Corp's security team hardly checked it. Judging by the small pile of animal corpses, it had been months since the last inspection.

Lea pushed open the window and climbed out of the catch. She landed in a long, metal corridor, and the slow whirring overhead told her she was near machinery. Machinery meant computers.

When all stands still, it must be the creator who sets things in motion. This I will uphold by stepping in and performing CPR on the RR.

Chapter Eighteen
'Outrage'
RoundRobinRitrs

"Uhh..." Maz rolled over onto his side, his eyes trying to adjust to the growing darkness. It hadn't been that dark when he last remembered being awake, but as he saw Ekin's unconscious form beside him, he started to understand. The pieces were falling together and he wasn't liking the outcome they were forming.

All doubt was thrust aside as a small piece of paper came into view as Maz moved his head. He went to sit up and his hair seemed to stand up on end. Whispering to himself, he said, "The force field..." Looking around before he did anything else, a thought flitted across his mind. Placing his hand flat on the same level as where his hair stood up, the force field became visable by becoming a thick shade of white. "Now at least no one will be able to see us, if anyone is watching."

Finally, he picked up the paper, his eyes scanning it quickly. Each word seemed to add more glitches in their plan until it became apparent their plan no longer existed. If anyone ever called him reckless again, he'd shoot them on the spot. What was Lea thinking going out on her own? Did she really think they weren't going to follow? Maz sighed heavily, knowing fully his sister had every reason to go, considering what she had included in the note. His eyes rested on Ekin who had started to roll over.

The red-haired man's eyes widened and he sat up as well. It was evident he had recognized the force field and further that Maz had triggered the invisible mode. Eyeing the piece of paper being held lightly in his companion's hand, he asked harshly, "What's going on?"

Rubbing the back of his neck, Maz muttered, "A lot." Seeing Ekin's impatience immediately, he continued. "Lea's set out on her own. She woke up before us and discovered an old disk. She didn't write everything she saw or found on it...she was obviously in a hurry. Only things she mentioned were that Bodo Corp. had Hex, Isah had a chip implanted in her head after her father's death, and that Isah was setting out on her own. Probably because she thinks she's caused enough trouble, but I think trouble's yanking her chain if you ask me." Maz's eyes suddenly became cold. The very air around him thinned and it became obvious that he was done playing around. He had had enough of being toyed with.

Tossing the paper idly aside, Maz got to his knees. "Well, are you ready to save the damsels in distress?"

Ekin smirked. "Don't ever let them hear you say that, but yes of course." His eyes wandered off to the side, fixated on the ground. "He's making Isah do foolish things isn't he?"

He remained stationary as Maz considered the question with steely eyes. "Yes, but foolish is a weak word for it. We shouldn't have gotten the girls involved. Too much has happened. It all started when Lea got us out. She was the only alternative and Isah was the only choice we had at the time. It'll be Bodo Corp.'s downfall now that they have everything we need inside the building." A smirk graced his features as he raised his hand in preparation to deactivate the force field. Ekin matched his expression.

Getting onto his knees himself, the redhead let out of a sigh, but managed to maintain his smirk. "Ya know Maz...Isah's chip...we hadn't counted on that. Either way, it is convenient that the three of them are there now. Just the trifold force we needed, huh?" Resting his head against the cloudly field, some of his hair sticking up, he added, "Still, if we had found a way out without Lea, we could have taken care of Bodo Corp. on our own."

Resting back on the heels of his feet, Maz looked amused. "Now Ekin, as much as my ego need not be stoked, I can safely say that our present position is quite a favorable one. You know what to do?" His partner nodded and Maz reached up to manually disengage the force field system.

In one woosh of motion, the murky white semi-circle surrounding them disappeared and a blur of silver was seen streaking off to the side of Ekin. Suddenly, a loud discharge was heard and a little black box fell to the ground in front of the tree they had been under, sizzling with the broken technology. Maz froze in his place, posed on his side, his hand bracing his wrist for the discharge of his gun. Ekin grabbed a few things that he knew they needed and motioned for his friend to follow. Maz was getting his backpack, but froze again as he eyed something suspicious.

"Ekin, look-"

"Maz, we don't have time. They'll be on us in seconds if we don't hurry and get out of range." However, the redhead had went to his comrade's side and was looking at the small device. It was what Lea had used to look at the fake documents Isah had made. The fact was that neither man knew that they were fake. Ekin ran a single finger over it. An icy look came over his visage. "We don't have time for this. We know enough, more than the girls. It would be stupid to pay attention to something that would just add more to the ever growing mess of information we have."

Maz considered Ekin and his words for only a moment and then threw the device to the ground, both men breaking into a run. It wasn't that far to Bodo Corp. Lea would have made it there already, calculating in the time that they had been unconscious. They both hoped that she either had gotten herself caught or was somewhere undetected, pursuing nothing foolish. If she acted at the same moment they did, everything would fail.

Two pairs of eyes gazed over a plain of rotted land, with tree stumps littering the already barren looking place. Across it was Bodo Corp. with the girls and Hex. Never looking away from the scene in front of him, Maz whispered, "The old way shall we? I bet Lea went across here using the EMP. We'll get in the way we did last time."

"Just to clarify, you mean where we found the people who implanted the chips right?" Maz nodded. "Out of range and disintegrating chips." He smirked. "Lucky for us that the big man on Bodo Corp. campus decided he needed slave labor. If they were actually loyal to him, you think they would have told us about the chips?" Maz didn't answer, but was checking his gun. Ekin's eyes grew distant, as he wasn't expecting an answer anyway. "If Isah had told me, maybe if she had known, we could have told her..."

Out of no where, Maz patted Ekin on the shoulder, fixing his backpack onto his own. "Don't worry about it Ekin. When we get her back, we'll tell her that the chips in our heads are designed to be out of range when the recipient isn't in sight. Once we free those unusual characters who put the chips in the three of our heads, the shockwave that brings down Bodo Corp. will disintegrate the chips as if they had never been there." The smirk returned to Ekin's face. Both eyes returned to the towering fortress. With a sly smile, Maz said triumphantly, "All we need is Hex."

Yes, I have returned. Well, unless you think my chapter was crap and horrible, then I believe I have proven myself to have average writing skills, no? .^_^. Hope you like it. Sorry to Sairi though. About being sick and that I rewrote your chapter. I did mention Hex though! And I laid ground for an interesting ending, don't you agree? I just had to do it! I tried to incorporate everything that was offered from previous writers. Later!

P.S. I re-read this while being surrounded by noisy spoiled kids, so I apologize if I missed something or if something doesn't make sense. Let me know .^_^.

Isah swore silently as she rubbed her bloodstained wrists. She looked down across her torn body at the thousands of scratches that lined it. She knew that she meant nothing to them and that she was lucky to be alive. Part of her didn’t care what happened to her now. She had lost too much. Death was the only thing that she had left.
She glanced across to her side, through the metallic bars, at the dog that lay asleep against the cold floor. Her eyes darted around to the guard that was watching her intently. Her own tears ran across her body and mixed with her blood. To some people this would be a silent cry to help the poor person in need. She knew that the guard didn’t care about her pain or what she was feeling. Except for the poor hound that lay beside her, she knew that she was alone.
Out of the corner of her eye she saw a slight movement. She stayed still, unmoving as her body told her of what might be coming. Without another movement the guard fell to the floor. Through all this she remained still. In the shadows she saw another slight movement but it was too small to identify. She moved silently into the shadows and waited for the person to appear. The longer she waited the more certain she became that they weren’t going to reveal themselves. Then at the last possible second she saw her. She stood majestically against the dim light, reflecting back to Isah the world that lay beyond. In this woman she could see the entire world flash before her, an entire lifetime that she had never known. She blinked and stared that this beautiful creature, wondering how she had ever lived without knowing the knowledge that this person possessed. She became lost in her eyes, mesmerized by all that she was and all that she stood for.
This woman reminded Isah so much of herself but through all the similarities there were too many differences. This woman wasn’t marked by pain or threatened by love. She was free and beautiful. Isah cried for the loss of the person that she once was; a person that she might never be again.
Slowly she stepped through the trance and back into the reality that she must overcome. To her great surprise the reflection of herself was still crystal clear.
“Clones,” she said slowly as comprehension raced through her mind. She stared at herself and watched her take a set of keys from her pocket. Slowly she opened the door to Isah’s cell. After she was finished she walked wordlessly over to Hex’s cell and freed him too.
“Why are you doing this?” Isah asked as she stared at the mirror of her own self.
“It’s what I’m made to do,” she replied softly. “I was a gift from your father. He made me before he died. He wanted to make sure that you always remembered that he was here to save you.”
Tears began streaming down Isah’s face as her mind raced with questions. “Go back and warn the other’s not to come. Take Hex with you. Save them.”
“I can’t do that,” the clone replied simply. “Clones are extremely grateful to the person that made them. Your father gave me life and a purpose. I cannot go against his dying wish.”
“Fine,” Isah breathed softly. “I suspect that the boys are already here anyway. We have to find Lea first. Do you know who she is?”
“Yes,” the reflection replied quickly. “Your father taught me all you knew.”
Isah took a deep breath. “Then let’s go find them,” she smiled as she looked at her clone. “Today is the day that Bodo Corp is taken down for good.”

Chapter 20
Outrage
Bring me to life

Isah’s head was reeling. Her father had never mentioned that he had made a clone. He never had even brought up the subject with her. Whenever Isah had asked why he didn’t make a clone, like every other dad in the neighborhood, he always laughed it off and said that he was morally against clones. But, seeing that her father lied to her didn’t make her mad like she thought she would be.

Isah looked over at the clone. Isah had never realized what a beauty she was. In fear of being conceited, she never really looked in a mirror, or proclaimed her beauty to the world.

“You’re very quiet.” The clone said out of the blue. “Is there something the matter?”

Isah looked down at her scarred wrists. Of course there was something wrong; any numbskull could see that. Isah pulled down the sleeves, and put on a fake cheery smile.

“No. Everything is fine. Why?” Isah replied, her sunny disposition making even the animals around them feel uncomfortable.

“You’ve always been a talker, especially when something exciting was just about to commence. Now, when the most exciting thing of your life is about to happen, you’re quieter than a church mouse.” The clone replied.

Isah almost gasped. The clone had spoken nothing but the truth. Isah shook her head. “I don’t know what you’re talking about. I just don’t have anything to say.”

The clone didn’t say anything. After a few minuets of silence, Isah decided to break it. “What should I call you? I can’t just yell out ‘clone’.”

The clone smiled. “You can call me Hasi.” She replied.

Suddenly, a gunshot rang out, and a bullet flew threw the air. Isah’s eyes widened as she saw the bullet penetrate Hasi’s head.

Hasi collapsed instantly, and Isah went down with her, though Isah was not injured. Tears fell from Isah’s eyes as she frantically pulled out bandages and checked for a pulse.

“Don’t bother. I’m going to be dead in a minuet anyway.” Hasi whispered rapidly. “Go and get Lea. She’s by the back entrance of the Bodo Corp. building.”

Isah just stared at Hasi.

“If you don’t go now, the one who killed me will kill you. GO!” Hasi said. Her eyes fluttered closed, and Isah scampered off without even saying goodbye.

Note: Fwa! I am posting on time. I so rule. Now I have to go and fail a History test. Wahoo!

CHAPTER 21 Revelations
As Isah’s footsteps thundered across the cold floor thousands of thoughts drifted through her mind.
‘I have to go back,’ she thought as she came to a sudden stop. She pulled a knife that had been hidden underneath her clothes out and gave it a give look before rushing back to where her clone had been. She slowed down as she came close to the body of the clone. Hasi’s fake blood was spilled across the ground and created swirls of color. The perfection of the pattern was ruined in one corner by footprints. The person just stood in place for a few seconds before attempting to attack Isah with the end of his gun. Isah easily sidestepped the attack and gutted the man with her knife.
“I hate people who think that they can kill whoever they want,” Isah said to the man. Her voice was a mixture of rage and sadness. With a strong thrust she pulled the knife back out of the man’s lower stomach. “I swear I’m going to take down this demonic underworld.” She plunged the knife back into the man’s body, this time straight at his heart. With another quick movement she pulled the knife back out and wiped off the blood with a handkerchief. Once the metal was clean she put it back into the place where it had been hidden earlier. She took one last look at the clone, before, grapping the man’s gun, she raced off down the corridor.
Once she was out of danger her thoughts began to flow again. And then, with a sharp brutality, she figured out why her father had made that clone.
‘He wanted me to see my beauty. He wanted me to know what I could be. He wanted me to do this.’ She fell to the ground and began letting tears fall from her eyes. ‘I’ve been so stupid,’ she thought as she wiped her eyes, letting her tears and blood mix upon her hands. ‘This isn’t about taking down Bodo Corp anymore. Revenge isn’t this easy.’ She looked around to make sure that she was safe. ‘This whole thing has been too easy. It’s almost as if Bodo Corp wants us to take them down.’
She slowly got up and began going through all of her memories of Bodo Corp. Bodo Corp was always one step ahead. They knew what Isah and the others were planning. They were waiting for it to happen.
“Why?” Isah asked out loud but no one was there to hear her. She looked around the dark hallway and felt completely alone. “You know what I’m doing,” Isah said, knowing that somewhere someone from Bodo Corp was listening. “How can you beat something that knows your every move? Tell me why you want us to take you down so badly.”
And then it hit Isah. ‘They want to disappear from the map. They want us to think that we’re taking them down but they’ll just be hidden beneath the surface. Then when it’s finally safe they’ll come back and take over this world. I have to stop them!’ Isah’s thoughts were full of a demand to what she herself must do.
She took off running down the hallway as fast as she could so she could go find Lea, Maz, and Ekin. She had to find them if she wanted to win. They had to be the one’s that took this down. Every move Isah made could be planned. Lea, Maz, and Ekin were free. She had to tell them what was happening and hope that they could figure it out on their own. If she wanted to take Bodo Corp down, she couldn’t do it alone.

Well another chapter by me… I’m not exactly sure if I like it and I’m not really sure that it makes sense but I guess I’ll live with it… hope everyone likes it… or at least tolerates it…lol.

My turn. I want the momentum that the RR has suddenly gotten to proceed .^_^. I don't want my chapter to be crappy though.

Chapter Twenty-Two
'Outrage'
RoundRobinRitrs

"Ekin, it's over here." Maz was standing over a deep hole in the ground, or at least something that looked as such. One foot was planted around the opening while Maz continued to look down into the dark tunnel. A steady dripping noise resounded in the bowels of the hole.

Placing a hand on the shoulder in which Maz was holding onto his backpack, Ekin peered down, imitating his friend. He was panting softly, a hint that Maz had given him a run for his money. Time was of the essence, but how would they know when it was safe? Wouldn't they have to get out of there before the sequence ended? Still a little out of breath, Ekin said, "It's still in the same place. A little out of shape to say the least though." Maz nodded in agreement.

"Well, we can't delay the inevitable." Maz tightened his hold on the strap of the sack and positioned himself so that he could slowly climb down into the likely abyss. Quite the contrary, it was only a few seconds before the sound of Maz's feet resounded on what sounded to be thick metal. The only thing visible from him was a glimmer of his silvery hair. A few more noises of Maz walking and he called up, "Ekin! I think I found it!" Upon the utterance of the last word, the ground vibrated slightly around Maz and underneath Ekin's feet. In a vertical fashion, lights lined up what used to be the dark hole and which now appeared to be a seldom used tunnel. Maz's feet were standing on the opening of two pieces of metal that was obviously the entryway.

With a quick slide, Ekin was at his side looking all around him. "The lights are like new. Bet they hardly use them. Better get in before anyone else but our friends inside realize they are on." Ekin leaned down and pressed his palm against the cool metal. The ground shook a little again. As if it were automatic, both boys stood up straight and each grabbed onto a rung on their respective side of the lighted tunnel. The platform type entrance that they had once been standing on and Ekin had pressed his hand to, was now sinking a few feet lower and the two metal pieces were slowly moving apart. Maz and Ekin both hung there, suspending only by the fact they were holding onto the side.

"Ah, our friends are back. Why so soon?" An older man appeared in the empty space that the seperating metal had revealed. He was wearing small narrow black goggles. All of his hair was almost gone, but he seemed to be smiling despite his present employment. Lines appeared around the goggles, indicating age had taken its toll. The smile seemed to grow. "You can let go now."

They did and gravity pulled them down to his side and into the opening. With a flip of a switch, the man had closed the entrance and from what little they could see, the lights were being turned off. Brushing himself off, Maz said, "Piat, it is good to see you. We've come to take you and your friends out of here. We have a simple plan to get rid of Bodo Corp. for sure."

The older man nodded, somehow unsurprised by this news. Folding his hands behind his back, he started to walk down the metallic tunnel slowly. "It is what we expected. After those two women appeared, we figured it was only a matter of time before you two showed up." A flash ran across Maz's eyes and he silently acknowledged that Lea had made it into the corporation. He had already surmised Isah was inside, but Lea would definitely prove to make complications, even if she wasn't aware of it. They had unknowingly made their way into the room they had come to know too well on their last visit. It was the room when Maz and Ekin had first met the chip making staff and had been informed about the out of range and disintegrating details of the chips. Now, instead of a miniature assembly line that was now rolled over to the side, there were monitors up instead. "The heads of the corporation haven't been down here under regular intervals. It was foolish of them to think we wouldn't eventually flush out their plan. In any case, we set up these to keep a weather eye out. It was a great surprise to see Isah again." Piat gave Ekin a tentative look and then continued. "It was that dear sister of yours, Lea, that gave us a surprise." He pointed to a screen in the middle where the figure of Lea could be made out. She was fiddling with some machinery in obvious attempts to accomplish some of their plan. "Just for reference, what do these two girls know, concerning you that is?"

Ekin was looking from monitor to monitor, but answered just the same. "Lea and Isah don't know we are here. They have no idea what Maz and I could initiate, which I'm sure you are well aware of, considering you heard us plan the beginnings of it when we were last here."

Maz shifted his bag on his shoulder. "Besides concerning us though, Isah doesn't know Lea went after her."

A flash of light from the screens stretched across Piat's goggles. "Ah, that is an unexpected occurence. Nothing about your sister is known, besides what you have told us. Isah on the other hand, well...I assume you know by now she has a chip in her skull?" Both boys nodded, even though Ekin was still consumed by the monitors. "Well, she came into contact with a clone her father made, but the clone has been exterminated. We believe she has realized she is being watched, every move she makes. Therefore, she can't destory the corporation as planned. Also, we believe she has acknowledged something we had figured out by observing the corporation's movements and actions. Even though you have reached some bumps and obstacles on your way, it has been a bit too easy on your mission to take Bodo Corp. down. They wish to pretend you have won and then stay unseen for awhile until they see it right to commence their ultimate plan." Seeing the omnious twinkle in Maz's eyes, Piat cocked his head in amusement. "But I suppose none of that really matters to you anyway?"

Maz chuckled. "No, but the point is that what Isah thinks, right? Lea, on the other hand, thinks she can succeed doing what she is doing. It doesn't matter. All three pieces are set, including Hex. We just wanted to get you all out before Ekin and I do what we have to do."

Piat smiled, but he held an air of slight puzzlement. "I'm sure I don't have to know the details, but is it still going to be a shockwave?" Maz nodded. Piat's smile widened. "It has been awhile since any of us had hope."

Abruptly, Ekin blurted out, "Where the hell is Isah?! You said she was here!"

The older man swiveled on his heel, with his hands still behind his back. "She probably has made it to where she was headed. Look at the fourth screen from the right in the middle row. Doesn't it look a bit strange?" Piat was right. After awhile, to a trained eye, it became apparent that the tape was repeating itself. When Ekin voiced this, Piat nodded. "She wants a moment of not being seen. We heard her mutter something about 'letting them know'. We can only assume she means you two, or should I say, three. Remember she thinks Lea is with you."

As if on cue, Maz's backpack beeped. He rolled his eyes and reminded himself that he shouldn't have forgotten something so minimal was available. He fished out a gun, that when he slid down a lever on it, revealed a small rectangular fuzzy screen. Isah's face was clear enough. "Maz, Ekin, can you hear me? Or even see me?"

Ekin rushed over and pulled the lever down more. It cleared up the picture and a look of relief came over Isah's jade eyes. Her bloodied up condition did not run passed the boys. "I don't have much time. Listen, it's going to be a hoax. You have to-"

Max interrupted her. "No, you have to listen. Lea is in Bodo Corp. She went after you. We can see her from here." When she opened her mouth, he continued quickly. "Since you don't have a lot of time, we can't explain everything. Just rest assured everything is going to be taken care of. Remember what Ekin and I always said when we used to go to clubs, but we were under-age?" For a moment, Isah still looked pensive, but then she backed away a bit from the screen communicator she was using. Comprehension was almost there, but there were still blanks. Either way she seemed to understand. She nodded her head and looked earnestly up at the two boys. "Just stay where you are and don't try anything. I wish we could tell Lea the same." He said the last part more as an after thought.

Isah suddenly looked tense again. The duo realized this and Ekin said in a hurried fashion, "All isn't lost Isah. Give me your word you won't give up on this."

Again she didn't seem to understand, but a tiny ember of hope seemed to flare inside her. With a resolute nod, she murmured, "You have my word." Looking around as if checking something, she added, "I have to go." Abruptly she was gone and the screen Piat had pointed out to Ekin now showed her backing away from what appeared to be a wall and wandering onto the next screen only to lean up against a wall in thought. What they didn't hear her say was something she whispered to herself. "When they couldn't get into the clubs, they'd always say 'There's always a back door.' Did they really find a way?" No one had heard her speak.

Everything had been set into motion. Maz and Ekin began to usher the chip makers back up the tunnel to get them out of their sick bondage and, more importantly, out of range. The two boys shared a lingering look before gazing down at a small square device with three dots that formed a triangle. Three points that represented the keys to their final plan: Lea, Isah, and Hex. Most importantly Hex.

If you didn't understand some of this chapter, go back in read the last one I wrote. I think it was 18. Let me know if I missed anything important. I'm so happy I finished .^_^. Hope ya liked!

Chapter 23
Time is of the essence

Note: Okay, I so have to do this. I have to cause trouble in here, and mess up everyone’s plans. Yup, that’s just me. But, I promise, it will be painless.

Maz continued to look at the small device, making sure nothing changed from when he last blinked. Everything had to go perfectly.

“Maz, quit looking at that goddamn thing for one second and look at this.” Piat said, snapping Maz back to reality. Maz looked up, and almost cracked up at the sight.

In Piat’s hands rested an old tin Power Rangers lunchbox. He and Maz used to take turns using it when they were younger.

“Where the hell did you find that old and rusty piece of junk?” Ekin asked amazed.

“Piece of junk? Why, this is a classic! This is what we as kids used to think were the greatest thing in the whole world!” Piat said incredulously.

“Remember when we used to think that the Power Rangers were real, and they’d come and save us from all the bad things in the world?” Maz asked, reminiscing about the past.

Piat chuckled heartily. “Oh yes. And even though I was a teenager, I still never wanted to let go of that fantasy. I remembered how I used to get ridiculed over that thing too.”

Maz just grinned. “Where did you find that? I could have sworn that we buried it in that huge field where the new Wal-mart now stands.”

“Yeah, about that. As soon as you went home, I went back to the field and unburied it. I’ve had it ever since.” Piat said, without a trace of guiltiness.

Maz just smiled. He then looked back down at the device in his hands. But something was wrong. The dot where Lea was about five minuets ago was gone.

“Shit! Lea’s gone.” Maz said, his voice sounding panicked.

***

Lea tip-toed through the plush halls of the Bodo Corp main office. This was where all the CEO’s worked. If Lea could somehow get into one of their computers…

“Stop! Who are you?” A commanding male voice called out. Lea involuntarily froze.

“Uh…I’m Jamison’s daughter.” Lea said sweetly, trying to sound innocent. The guard eyed her suspiciously. Suddenly, realization dawned on his face.

“Really now.” The guard said. “Let me take you to him. The guard then walked over to her. But, instead of steering her to Jamison, he promptly hit her in the back of the neck.

Stars flashed in front of Lea’s eyes, and she collapsed to the ground.

Chapter 24 The Blood Red Moon

Long ago they had been called saviors but their legends had died away many years ago. Not many people truly knew about them or about the power that they held. In fact, they didn’t even know. Even through their blindness they were able to see that their lives weren’t as normal as others. They had been made under a triangle of power. It was through them that the world would end or it was through them that life could continue. It was up to them as to whether the world perished or lived on so it might become a better place. The world though, has become corrupt. Do they truly believe that they can control it? Do they really believe that they might, somehow, harness its power. People are blind… and so are we…
Isah rocked back and forth as she shifted her weight from her right foot to her left. She looked around the barren wasteland that had once been Bodo Corp. The leaders were much smarter than they had first appeared. They had deserted the place days ago. Only a few people were left to throw Isah and the others off. It was a decoy for something much greater. It wasn’t about Bodo Corp anymore. Now, it was about the world.
‘I’ve wanted to save the world from pain for as long as I can remember,’ Isah though. ‘I have my chance now and the worst part is, I can’t go along with it.’ She glanced across the empty floors of the factory that was normally chaotic with movement. Through the glass windows at the top she could see the outline of the dim moon in the distance. Slowly, its color was changing from that pale yellow to a vivid blood red. She had heard stories about the apocalypse all her life but only now did it truly hit her. She knew what she had to do. She had to find them.
-----------
Lea opened her eyes and blinked at the dim light that surrounded her. She was chained to the wall of some dungeon but she knew that this wasn’t the main prisons. This place that she was locked in was for the special prisoners. The place that she was in was the torture chamber.
She glanced around the darkness for any sign of life but the shadows were her only companion that she could see. After only a few seconds she realized that she wasn’t alone.
“Lea, my dear,” the man spoke. Lea could barely make out his outline through the black that engulfed her surroundings. Slowly the man moved into the light. To most people it would have been a surprise to see this man here but it was no surprise to Lea. She knew that she would have to face him at some point during this journey. Her only wish was that it would have been later.
The man’s charcoal hair gave his appearance one of both power and wisdom. He looked old but Lea knew secretly that he was just silently older than herself.
“You didn’t think that I knew you, did you?” Lea smiled. “I knew about you though. I’ve known about you for a long time. Why did you think that I wanted to take down Bodo Corp so badly? Yes I wanted revenge for my parent’s death but it was more than that. I knew what you were up to my love. You were the only one that could truly ever stop our true destiny. Why do you want to defeat us so badly? Do you fear us that much?”
“You know nothing of fear,” the man smiled. He began pacing back and forth slowly in front of Lea. “Some people say that the world will end in ice. They believe that this cold will stop all life from existing. They believe that nothing will be able to survive for years. Then a new race will begin. A better race. A stronger race.”
“But some people believe the world will end in fire,” Lea replied softly. Her speech was slow at first but gained speed with each word. “Fire destroys and fire burns. Nothing can live under its heat. One day, something, somewhere, might learn to begin in this heat but it is doubtful. Heat or cold, nothing will survive.”
“That’s why you hate her so much, isn’t it?” The man almost laughed. “Only she will put an end to all the stuff that you’ve been forced to go through. You want to feel this pain though. Why Lea? Why do you go on.”
“Tyrin, you’d never understand,” Lea replied softly as her eyes darted to the dust covered floor. “Life is always better than death. Of course I’ve thought about ending it, back when my parents died, but that was only my grief. I still miss them Tyrin and I still blame you for their deaths. Controlling the world will only become its end. Can’t you see that? If you control the world it will end in ice… and if Isah betrays up, which is what some prophesies tell of, it will end in fire… I still don’t get it though… why are you so eager for this all to be over? Why did you start Bodo Corp? Why did you bring me, Isah, Maz, and Ekin here?”
“Blind as ever,” Tyrin smiled. “I want this to end to simply see how it ends. You know my life Lea. It was once you that I told these secrets too. And it can be again. Chose the ice Lea and we can start a whole new race. We can be the rulers of this world and end all the poverty and hunger. We can give these people a new life. We can decide who is fit to live and who must die.”
“But that would take away the people’s freedom!” Lea screamed. “You can’t force people to do anything. It won’t work.”
“Of course it will,” Tyrin yelled back. “Why do you think I created Bodo Corp? I hired the most brilliant minds across the globe to share their secrets and put together these chips. Lea we can save this world. Trust me Lea.”
Lea laughed. “I can’t believe that I didn’t see it before. I always knew that there were three of us. I always guessed myself and Isah. Yes, you were right Tyrin, that’s why I never liked her. I can’t believe that I’ve been so blind about the third. How did you do it? I didn’t think that transfiguration was possible yet.”
“With the smartest minds on the earth anything can happen,” he smiled. “It was all a simple set up. We made it look like Maz killed your father. It was easy. Then all we had to do was shift his chemical composition into that of a dog’s. A really simple process actually.” He reached into his pocket and withdrew a small, normal playing card. He turned it over in his hand gently and then smiled. “I have the ace my dear Lea. Do you want to know the truth. Do you think you can handle the truth.” He didn’t wait for her to respond before he continued, “Your true friends Maz and Ekin, they were behind this too. Of course they never truly knew it though. But Maz knew about your father. He knew that he wasn’t dead. Ekin loves Isah, or so he says. He’s really good at lying I’ve found out. Well, of course he would be,” Tyrin smiled. “Our chips are perfection. We can shift thoughts ever so slightly that no one will know that they’re being controlled. We can hide memories, like the one of your father, deep inside so that the person no longer can remember it. We can make people do anything they want too, without them even knowing it.”
“When the moon turns blood red,
And the winds howl at night,
Two lovers will take the fatal course,
And begin the ultimate fight.” Tyrin smiled. “Remember that poem, Lea? We used to make things up like that when we were kids. Maz never knew about me though, did he? What else didn’t you tell him?”
“I never told him anything,” she replied softly. “I knew about the chip. It’s been there a long time. I wasn’t sure what you would hear. I couldn’t take that chance.” She paused and looked deep into Tyrin’s eyes. “There are three points to our triangle and three events that are going to happen tonight. Bodo Corp and, in a sense, the end of the world, can only be stopped by these three things taking place. I know you know them already.” She gave him another quick glance.
“Of course,” he smiled. “You must battle the one that you once loved. You must win. Isah must make a blood sacrifice to save a dear friend. And your father must destroy the brain chips.” He laughed. “I think your father will have fun accomplishing that while he’s still in canine form.”
“You’re a monster,” Lea spat. “I cannot believe that I ever loved you. Time has changed you.”
“No,” Tyrin replied softly. “Time has changed you.” He gave an evil smile. “So how are we going to do this? Well I guess we must first choose our proper fighting ground. I do believe that the old factory grounds will be fair. As for weapons…” He paused for a split second before his evil smile grew wider. “I do believe that we will be able to pick any weapon that we choose. The only rule is no guns and no technology. This could be the end of the world. I want a fair fight.”
“Fine,” Lea spat. “I already know the weapon that I want.”
“I know it too,” Tyrin smiled. “I do believe that I am ready to win.” He walked over to Lea and put his hand roughly onto her shoulder. Lea winced but he paid no attention. He played around with a small watch for a few seconds before both of them disappeared from the dungeons.
-------------
Isah saw them at the end of the corridor. She smiled as she ran up to Ekin and fell gently into his arms. She reached up and kissed him passionately on the lips.
“Just in case,” Isah whispered.
“We have to hurry,” Ekin said quickly. “Anyone could be watching and we don’t have much time.”
“Believe me,” Isah replied, “the only people watching are our friends.” She lead them back down the way she had come and to the empty factory that stood below her. “Everyone’s left,” she said. “Only our old friends and the boss remain.” As if on cue, hundreds of feet below them, the boss and Lea appeared on the ground. Isah almost gasped but stopped herself at the last second. She didn’t want them to know that they were there. Not yet anyway.
“You are so predictable,” the boss smiled at Lea. “Sai. Didn’t you know that the sai aren’t defensive weapons? Do you really want a weapon that cannot defend you too.”
Lea skillfully twirled the pair of blades in her hands. “Tyrin, I don’t want a defensive weapon because I don’t need one.”
“Very well then,” Tyrin smiled as he fingered the thick wood of his bow. “This should be a fun fight.”
“Yes it should,” Lea smiled back. “Let’s begin.”
-------------------
High above them Isah watched. Two tears fell gently from her eyes.
“Ekin, I love you. I’ve said it before and I truly mean it.” She looked deep into his eyes. “Ekin go with Maz and find Hex.” She paused. “Gosh I didn’t mean to overhear this. Maz, Hex is your father. There are plans, hidden below in basement vents that tell how the transfiguration process can be reversed. Go find them. Hex is the only way that we can get rid of these brain chips.”
“I love you too,” Ekin said before he dashed off with Maz. Isah watched them go without saying a word. She knew that she had to stay here. The fate of the world rested upon her right now. Whichever path she chose, she knew, would either save or condemn the world. She just looked down at the battle that had begun below her. Tears streamed down her face like rain.
“I have no choice,” she whispered. “I have to do this.”

Wow… I was so pumped up to write this chapter… I can’t believe that it’s almost the end… and I know that there’s still a lot that has to happen but I’m afraid to write much more… !!!!! I can’t wait to see what happens!!!!!

Yeah, so I went over the time I was supposed to get it in by. I had ideas on what I wanted to do, but then Wednesday - when I did have time - I wasn't in the mood to write. Go figure.

Chapter Twenty-Five
'Outrage'
RoundRobinRitrs

Isah's irises contracted as her green orbs began to adjust to her surroundings. What had just happened? It had all been vivid, but now all her senses seemed sharpened as if everything before had been fuzzed. Lea and that man about to fight...that had seemed real enough. And Ekin...but why would he come to her then? It didn't make any sense.

It appeared that it didn't have to. Isah's eyes finally adjusted and she could see she was still in the corridor she had last talked to Maz and Ekin through the wall communicator. What had she just seen? It hadn't been real, or at least wasn't real yet. She hadn't told Ekin about what was going on and what she had overhead, but now she realized it didn't matter. It would be foolish to confess such a thing. The boys seemed to know more than she right now, even if she felt she HAD to do something, anything. The need surged up in her so much so, that she slid down the metal wall, hugging her form with her arms around her knees in an attempt to steady herself. The air was thick with something. For once she couldn't tell and it brought an unsettled feeling to her ever-surging mix of emotions. What were Maz and Ekin planning? Could they beat the odds when they didn't even know what they were? Did they have to know? Isah cringed inward and nothing but her shining jade eyes hinted at the intense thoughts zinging around within.

_______

"Maz, we have to do it now." Ekin and Maz were a good distance away from Bodo Corp. along with the chip makers. The tunnel had led them to a prime spot where was most importantly out of range, but at a point where they could still have a visual of the corporation.

Maz nodded and his eyes became steely. Looking directly at the silhouette of Bodo Corp. through a dusty fog that ran in front of it, somehow foreshadowing what was about to take place, he said, "I know, Ekin, I know. Everything is in place." There was a slight hesitation in his last words and it was not lost to Ekin. Maz swallowed harshly and looked down at the little black device again. "Remember the outside factors we discussed Ekin?" The redhead nodded. "The girls...Hex...if they knew, do you think it would hinder what we are about to do?"

Ekin practically snorted and shook his head. "No way Maz. Even that damned 'prophecy' couldn't stop us now. Nothing can interfere with this. It is out of everyone's hands, but our own."

"I'm happy to hear you say that. It would worry me if you thought otherwise." Abruptly, Maz turned and looked at Ekin with a sharp smirk plastered on his features. He radiated triumph. The square device was still gripped tightly in his hand, the three dots which made a triangle seeming to glow. "They are getting close. I bet we'll shock the hell out of Bodo Corp....especially the boss."

Ekin nodded. He felt it in the air. The need to initiate Bodo Corp.'s demise. Too long had it been the cause of so many people's anguish. Too long had it been let to stand and inflict pain upon others for its own welfare, for the ultimate prize - the world. But it was too late for them. Maz and him had kept a secret - from Lea, Isah, everyone...the world. Everyone had their secrets, but not like this one. The secret to end all secrets. None like this one. When this one was revealed there would be such a shake upon the Earth that no one would be unaware that was aware of the wretched construction of Bodo Corp.

"It's time." White teeth glinted from the sunlight as Maz sneered.

_______

Lea felt blinded, like a hot iron was being poked into her. Where was Tyrin? Where had he gone? She felt so devoid of her senses that all she could acknowledge was her sudden fall to the floor. What about the fulfillment of their fight? She could no longer feel his presence. What was happening?

More importantly, what would cause him to disappear?

_______

Dusk was threatening as both Ekin and Maz crouched over the small square device with the three dots that formed a triangle. They did not look at each other for it was silently decided it would begin now, dispelling all untruths so only the truth would reverberate. And how it would echo, so long and so powerful.

Suddenly, two oval shaped crevices appeared in the bottom corners of the small device. Ekin placed his thumb in the left one while Maz placed his own in the right. At the same time they pressed down and a slight rumbling began. Only seconds now...

Inside the monstrous threshold, Hex's eyes went blank as he stood on all fours. His whole body was rigid and a yellowish gleam flashed over his eyes. Something began to spin...it made a hissing sound like it was speeding up. It was Hex's collar. It seemed to have penetrated him and now the front part of it extended revealing a rectangular piece of metal. With a canine-like yelp, Hex was pushed back a little as the piece of metal projected itself foward, off of his collar. It flew through the air so swiftly that it could be hardly seen. Not even the unattentive guards to Hex's cell could have seen it if they had tried.

His eyes still glowed yellow.

At the same time, in her tumult of confusion, Lea's frame convulsed once. She seemed frozen for a moment on the floor, her eyes still non seeing. However, they were wide open and from the bottom an unnatural red light crept up until it covered all of her eyes. Her pupils could be seen underneath, but the hue of red was over powering. In a whispered voice, she murmured, "I know..." It made no sense, for Lea herself could not even hear herself uttering the words. The hot poker feeling grew worse and instinctively, Lea clutched her stomach. Something seemed to be trying to get out between her fingers. A soft inaudible sound reached her lips and slithered into the air. Something long shot out from between the five digits of her hand. It was silver, but in the streak it made through the air, red could be unmistakably seen.

Lea's eyes did not blink and her mouth remained open, that eerie red light emitting from her. She remained still there as everything unraveled.

The final event happened simultaneously as well. Isah was still huddled, overcome with that hovering feeling of something about to happen. Suddenly, it clicked in her mind, but too late for her to do anything about it. For a split second she detected the electricity in the air; it was so thick and so full of power that it baffled her how she had not dechipered it until then. Just at that moment, as she moved to stand up, something vibrated in her, spreading to every part of her body starting from the center of her chest. It happened so quickly and with such force that her body arched, her back the most prominently bent. Her whole body seemed to be floating as it happened because it happened so quickly. It was as if a laser had gone through her when the vibration had started at her center. In a moment that all felt as if it were completely still, Isah's back arched more and something began to rise out from the center of her chest. An ethereal green glow started to make itself known in her jade eyes and all Isah could feel was the aftershock of the vibration as a tingling in her fingertips and toes. Whatever it was, slowly rose out of her chest, long and making a sound that promoted the thoughts of something slimey. Finally, the moment ended and Isah fell to the ground, gravity ultimately taking its toll. What had come forth from her had shot out like a bullet, leaving Isah oblivious to what was going on around her.

Outside, still in the spot they had been, only seconds later, Ekin and Maz's eyes lit up from the glow of the three dots on the small square device - one yellow, one red, and one green. Their smiles were apparent at the corners of their eyes. "It's starting."

And indeed it was. The shockwave had begun. A circular ring formed around Bodo Corp. and was swiftly moving away from it. A bigger and disturbing rumble shook the ground beneath their feet and the two boys could only think of if the shakes they were feeling there were unsettling, how strong and lethal the shockwave effects would be at the corporation center. It was crumbling, even from where they sat they could tell. Quickly and definitely it fell in complete destruction. Hex, Lea and Isah. The three pieces that would allow the final annihilation of Bodo Corp. If all three were set in place...how lucky they had been that the three ended up in Bodo Corp. If they hadn't, Maz and Ekin's plan could not have taken place. But what of those three? The three that were the key...would they not perish in Bodo Corp. as it toppled and destroyed itself due to the deadly blow of Maz and Ekin's ingenius shockwave?

What had they possessed that initiated the apocalyptic shockwave? What had come out of them?

Only the monotone voice emanating from the small square device, the only thing audible in the chaos of the shockwave, gave any hint to these mysteries. "Three life forms detected. Yellow. Red. Green." A moment of silence filled with the far off sound of Bodo Corp.'s continual crumbling. "Merit retrieval?" Another moment passed and it was evident the device was recieving no answer. Again it tried. "Merit retrieval?"

Maz and Ekin had already begun to assist the chip makers to get further away from the oncoming shockwave. They never heard the device's request.

-THE END-

Yeah that's right. That's how it ends.

Open-ended, but hopefully most of your questions can be answered within the chapter. If not, let me know what your questions are .^_^.
