Kronic Lords Of Chaos

The History of a Great Guild - KLOC:
One day a mid level 30’s Shadowknight by the name of Zanthex was solo killing Griffenne’s outside of Bastable. While killing these beast an invisible mid level 20’s Wizard came running by decided to stop, chat, and watch him kill the beasts. The Wizard went by the name Genie and soon they grouped and were xping these beasts. They continued to talk and kill for a few hours. They even added each other to their buddy list and parted ways. Over the next several days Zanthex continued to solo these creatures and everyday, Genie would message him. Genie would soon meet Zanthex and xp with him for a while. At that time Zanthex was in the Powers of Pain guild and Genie was in the Blazers of the Green Rose (or something like that). They had talked about forming a new guild together for a while but both were happy with the guilds they were in, until several members left each guild and things became boring. This is when Genie and Zanthex decided it was time to form a new guild. After several suggestions where discussed for the guild name, Zanthex came up with a cool name; Kronic Lords Of Chaos also known as KLOC. Genie and Zanthex both agreed it would be the name of the new guild. KLOC was then formed and membership began. KLOC quickly began adding members. Some of these great members were Driitzz, Mapquest, Ursa, Dorm (never could spell his name), Prodigalson, Norithan, and several others (too many to mention). Even though most of these members did not know Zanthex, they began to bond, trust, and grow with each other. KLOC was getting bigger, growing stronger, and bonding well. KLOC did lack high-level players and structure but it was hoped that it would come with time. One day Genie did not log on to Everquest. At the time it was no big deal. Genie must be taking a break. Then a week went by and Genie had not returned. The guild became concerned about one of its masters missing. Two weeks went by, and still Genie had not come back. Zanthex had to do something to keep the guild alive so he began making changes and promoting more people to have leadership available while he was away. The guild hung on and was still growing with Genie missing, but Zanthex knew things might soon change. Zanthex also knew the guild needed to be more structured and learn to work together so that when the entire guild became high levels, they would be able to take on beasts such as Dragons, Dreadnaughts, and the Isle of Dread that was soon to open. Zanthex had also finally hit level 50 and was enjoying no debt, but had no one to grind with in the guild. Genie had helped Zanthex make several levels in the past but in his absence, Zanthex had to make level 50 on his own. While grinding outside of the guild to make level 50, Zanthex was offered membership into several larger guilds that were more structured and had many other high level characters. Because of Zanthex’s dedication and devotion to KLOC, he respectfully declined all invites. Zanthex had the dream of still making KLOC into one of the greatest guild on the Diren Hold server and maybe even EQOA. Zanthex formed raiding parties trying to structure the guild and help it grow. Things were going well with the guild, but could still be better. A month went by and still Genie had not returned. Zanthex had given up on Genie returning and now had to face being the master of KLOC alone. At this point KLOC had come to a stand still. Even though its current members were gaining levels and a few new members were added, KLOC was no longer really growing. One day Zanthex’s brother, Abaddon (a low level druid), was in Freeport and saw a familiar name shouting in the crowd. It was Senan, their former guild master. Senan had returned to Diren Hold server. Abaddon quickly messaged him to say hello to his old friend. Senan told Abaddon that Powers Of Pain guild was rebuilding and he wanted Zanthex back to be an elder and maybe a master. Zanthex contacted Senan and told him that he had a guild that he could not leave behind. This is when a guild merger was discussed. Zanthex and Senan both thought it would make us a lot stronger since the two guilds were combining. It would also bring more high-level hardcore players to the guild. At this time, Senan disbanded Powers Of Pain and came to KLOC to be a new master and bring his guild members over. The plan was to unite and grow into a powerful guild with leadership, honor, and structure. Now the new KLOC was formed. Some of the old members were concerned with this change. Zanthex hoped the old members would give the new master a chance just like they had given Zanthex when the guild first formed and they did not know him very well. Senan came in and tried to help the guild immediately. He gave out rares, helped with quests, made games for the guild members to play, and saw the future of a great guild that needed a little more structure. However sometimes change is not always wanted even if it is for the better of the guild. Then a tragedy happened. Somehow members began getting deleted from the guild list and things fell apart. People were being blamed, fingers were pointed and trust was lost. Senan and Zanthex called for an emergency meeting, however when meeting time came Zanthex could not attend. Everything that the two masters had discussed earlier was to be brought out at the meeting. Senan did everything he could in Zanthex’s absence. However some of the old members were unhappy with the changes. When Zanthex came back he was messaged with concerns about the direction the new KLOC was headed. Zanthex knew that some changes were needed to make the guild stronger but did not know what to do about the unhappy members. Some members were so displeased that some left and others threatened to leave. This made Zanthex sad since he had never turned his back on his guild even when he had many offers to join other guilds and leave his members behind and for his members to suddenly turn their backs on him was devastating. Zanthex and Senan talked briefly and still agreed that changes to make the guild stronger needed to be made and that no one was suppose to feel excluded or less important in the guild. Now the guild is facing one of its most difficult times it has ever had. It is time for KLOC to rebuild this great guild. The masters of KLOC do not want to lose anyone and will attempt to make everyone happy. Zanthex and Senan have a great deal of respect for all of its members. The masters fear that KLOC may lose a few members due to the new KLOC formation and for those that wish to leave; KLOC wishes you the best of luck. For those that stick by KLOC we will continue to grow and become a great guild. And Zanthex and Senan pledges to not turn their backs on the guild or anyone in it. For those that will remain in the guild, welcome to the new KLOC dynasty.
