"Part Thirty-One: Face Off"
Rebeccah Shalch

"Are you out of your damn mind?!" Antirne screamed suddenly shaking with fury. "After all this; after everything we've been through, you're willing to just throw it all away? To throw this... this... whatever it is, away just because you're uncomfortable having friends? What in the hell is wrong with you?!"

"Do you think this is easy for me?!" the half-elf fired back. "Do you think I like watching over my back every minute of the day to make sure that the two wandering idiots I somehow got attached to me aren't injured, or taken, or killed? Do you think --"

"I don't give a bard's ass what you like! You're taking us with you and you're going to deal with it; because this idiot isn't going anywhere without you," Antirne spat back at her.

The two elves glared at each other defiantly.

Angelic turned her face to the road ahead, gazing intently, "If you go into the town, you know that you'll be spotted," she stated levelly.

"I'll deal with it," the elf said cooly as she pushed her way past the paladin to continue on the road ahead of them; looking both tired yet unwilling to stop for a moment longer in the forest. Angelic stared at the ground placidly before turning to follow the elf, "Come on Flitz!" she shouted over her shoulder as she stared at the road ahead of them.
