Today our cultural activity was ikebana and in case you still don't know what that is, it is the beautiful and sometimes weird art of flower arranging in Japan. Ikebana really is quite different from flower arranging in the West. Less flowers are used and often time the stems are twisted into odd shapes. There are many, many, many different schools for ikebana in Japan. It's really quite interesting, so I suggest you type it into Google and learn something. ^_^

The first four pics are of my arrangement. The last picture is of the two examples we had from the sensei demonstration. (In this case, sensei more means "master" rather than "teacher" or "instructor.")
