Link returns to the Temple of Time just before the final battle, only to discover that all is not as it should be. Love is fleeting, an ephemeral thing, which is what makes it so very precious.

Identity Crisis

Sheik is bound to a tree in the Lost Woods, and has been like this for almost a day. He awakens, to find Link staring at him, Master Sword drawn. Sheik knows what this is all about; Link’s (understandably) annoyed with Zelda, who hasn’t seen him since the final battle, and he’s been bottling up a lot of hatred towards her for a long time. Hence, on seeing Sheik, he immediately assumes it’s her.

Hyrule has been at peace for a few years, and their Hero is returning from his many adventures for the parade day that celebrates his victory over the evil Gerudo. Sheik has heard rumours of his return and enters the Castle-town in order to get another glimpse of Link. Accidents abound and secrets are revealed.

A lot can change in seven years and Link is unable to believe the horrors that have taken place in his absence. Heroes cannot always remain composed when presented with the travesties of the enemy and Link finds himself giving into rage.

Even during dark times, there must be periods of respite. The hero and the Sheikah find that with the help of one another, they are able to find a brief period of peace within the turmoil of war. Set just before the Spirit Temple - tickling and silliness abound.
