Pictures

These are some of the pictures from my trip to Holland to meet up with Ang and Steve. Obviously, there are more pictures, but I have yet to allocate the time to upload them all (I only have dial-up people, it is deadly slow). More pictures will be added later, some of my adventures in London, as well as more pctures from the trip to Holland. Though of course, none of them will be of me. Well, not many of them anyway.

this is a mini car that we saw on the street in Amsterdam-

we just had to stop and take it's picture, it was so cute! Ang stood next to it like Vanna for a size refrence.

This was near the mini car, and I had to record it,

to me it looks like an arm pushing away the building over the street.

Everything in Europe is covered in scaffolding. The entire continent is under repairs. This is a close up of the curch in the picture below.

This curch is in Lieden. When the Spanish(?) invaded Holland, they broke the dykes that hold the sea out, and the entire city was underwater, except for the spire of this church. The people stayed in a hilltop fort, built for just such an emergency. The king gave them a university for remaining loyal even though their entire city was destryed, and they were without supplies for several months.

These stones are in the botanical gardens in Lieden. They are of course, moulded concrete, but I almost liked them better than stonehenge, because you could go right up and touch them.

What would a trip to Holland be without a picture of a windmill? Actually, this windmill was not built by a Dutchman, and supposedly proves that the windmill was not a Dutch invention. I'm not sure how though.

This is a picture of Ang, taking a picture on the beach in Noordvijk.

Here's Steve. Out in the sun. Yes. The sun.

This was a 'mysterious', 'spooky' tower that we saw in Noordvijk. Jinkies!Really it is an abandoned lighthouse. It was under renovation at the time so of course, no one was allowed in.

This is the sunset from the beach in Noordvijk. Sigh.
