The Forgotten Journal is a website dedicated to my hobbies: pen and paper fantasy roleplaying and Dungeons & Dragons (D&D).  The Forgotten Journal is based on the fantasy roleplaying setting, Forgotten Realms (FR).  Forgotten Realms and Dungeons & Dragons are owned by Wizards of the Coast (WotC).  The Dungeons & Dragons Player's Handbook (PH), Dungeon Master's Guide (DMG), Monster Manuel (MM) and the Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting (FRCS) are hardcover books that can be found in most bookstores that sell roleplaying games.

This hobby is shared by millions of gamers world-wide.  Visitors can learn a little bit about the fantasy roleplaying hobby and D&D here.

The primary purpose of this website is to record the game sessions shared with my friends.  The Forgotten Journal chronicles the adventures of our characters, who are the main heroes of an ongoing story of  high fantasy.   In the Forgotten Realms the heroes will face many dangers, travel to distant lands, and visit cities of wonder and intrigue.  They will  explore ancient ruins and dungeons, which often are the homes of fell creatures and dragons.  You are invited to read the stories of their adventures, judge for yourself whether the tales are true and if courage prevailed.
