The
Eurasian Organized Crime Unit
On Friday, June 6, 2003, at 1 pm ET,
Special Agent (SA) Frederick M. Bennett of the Bureau's Eurasian
Organized Crime Unit (EOCU) will lead an FBI Chat on Russian and
Eastern European crime groups. In the course of his discussion,
SA Bennett will field questions from the public and discuss the
EOCU unit, its investigations, and manner of operation.
The FBI's Eurasian Organized Crime
Unit is responsible for coordinating and overseeing investigations
into organized crime entities, on both a national and international
level. In an evolving effort to enhance interagency communication,
the EOCU implements international working groups, national conferences,
and various programs, to coordinate the sharing of information between
the FBI and other governmental entities. To learn more about the
EOCU, submit your questions now or join the chat live.
