A little bit about the realm: LasairCala, a world beyond that of the mortal realm. The land where the dragons became lords over all. Nearly five thousand years ago, the dragon god and goddess decided to create a world where their children would come to live in peace. They created the first dragons, the Elders that watches over all today. These consisted of the five chromatic dragons (Red, Blue, Black, White, and Green) and the five metalic dragons (Gold, silver, bronze, copper, brass). These ten dragons were commanded to watch over all, and become the first of dragonkind. And thus so came from them, the rest of the draconic species.
The next to arrive were the Gem dragons, dragons who had an affiliation with a specific precious stone. These were Ruby, Sapphire, Amethyst, Topas, Emerald, Crystal, and Onyx dragons. They held a lesser standing than the first, but were equally powerful and dangerous. Their bodies are covered in elastic gem like scales that can harden like normal dragon scale.
Then came the common dragons that have been created by sorcery or magic: Shadow, Faery, Drakes, Feldrakes, Wyrms, Wyverns, and Dragoons.
A little history: In the midst of Chaos, there became two great creatures that formed from the pandimonium, Zoe and Oz. These two beings took the shape of two very long Asian Dragons, one glowing of pure good and white, the other pitch black with evil. Both had to work together to keep balence inorder for life to produce. From Chaos, they formed the several planes of existance, including the material plane. From Zoe and Oz, came the Gods and Goddess that were in control of the realms. Zoe created Bahamut, while Oz created Tiamat, the god and goddess of dragons.
