~you must be~
~you must be~
I am the dragon of earth ~planet~
I am one of dull brown, rocky grey
I am one who makes the deserts,
Who holds the roots of mountains ~solidity~
I am the dragon of water ~the sea~
I am one of deep green, clear turquoise
I am one who gives you dreams of the oceans,
Who drowns sailors, and sends them home ~unpredictable~
I am the dragon of air ~atmosphere~
I am one of misty white and clear nothingness
I am one who gives you your lives
Who can steal the very breath from your lungs ~subtle~
I am the dragon of fire ~flames!~
I am one of smoldering red and fiery gold
I am one who can change things, remove things,
And leave destruction behind ~obliterate~
I am the dragon of darkness ~nothing~
I am one of solid ebony and thick obsidian
I am one who can terrify,
Who leaves you to night’s horrors ~nightmare~
I am the dragon of light ~heavens~
I am the one who holds your soul in my wings,
I am one who shall protect you
Who shall never let you come to any more harm. ~be at peace~
~choose now, you mortal, for who shall you fly with?~
Exercise in structure/description. Was the intro for my second 6th grade anthology.
