Son Goku is a cheery, happy, focus, and possibly the strongest saiyan in the world. He's died a few times but have been resurrected thanks to the dragonballs that he's found and wished upon at times.

The son of Goku, Gohan is pure hearted and very kind. He's also intelligent, thanks his mother and found his way in attending high school that's many miles from his house. There, he met Vadel, his future wife who is also the daughter of Hercule, the man who says defeated Cell. He tries to take over his father's place in fighting and battling, doing whatever he can to make him proud.

Vegeta is the Prince of the planet, Vegeta where the Saiyans originated. Frieza destroyed the planet and Vegeta thought that he and Nappa were the only survivors but it so happens that Goku, too, survived. Vegeta is prideful and vengeful, he tries everytime to surpass Goku and let it run through his head. He later becomes soft and cares for others for the first time.

Trunks is the son of Bulma and Vegeta. He came from the future to warn Goku and the others about the coming event in exactly 3 years. His past and present life in the future is terrible, like a living nightmare. He has to run away from villainous androids that terrorise the whole world and kill all the Z fighters except Trunks.

The mother of Trunks, Bulma is a spoiled woman who loves everyone but has over-reacted ways of expressing it. She loves Trunks and is still stubborn with Vegeta until GT series. She is the daughter of the inventor of capsules and owns Capsule Corp. She is very intelligent for her age and was the first one on the search for Dragonballs.

Piccolo is a Namekian warrior whose emerged from the World's Guardian, Kami. He used to be an evil person who fought and was rivals with Goku until he met his son, Gohan. Since then, he cared for the boy and became friends with everyone. Once Piccolo merged with Kami to become a Super Namekian, he took a huge risk. Without Kami, the dragonballs disappear and if Piccolo dies, the dragonballs...disappear. So for any reason at all, Piccolo cannot die.

Krillin is a funny guy who isn't as strong as everyone but still tries to help and trains hard. He is only human and cannot obtain the great skill of a Namekian nor a Saiyan. He has known Goku ever since age 12 and since then, they trained together with Master Roshi. When it comes to ladies, although, he is a sweet person.

Tien knew Goku through the martial arts competition. They fought each other and it became a close battle. Since then, Tien has hung out with Goku and trained hard to fight against the enemies up ahead. He has a third eye on his forehead and was the first to teach the Solar Flare technique.

Chautzu is Tien's best friend. He's always been by his side and when he's not, he's with Master Roshi to stay out of trouble and harm. Tien really cares about him and he to Tien. They both been together for a long time and train together as well in their travels.

Yamcha has known Goku before Krillin but after Bulma. At the age 10 they met and battled but luckily, a "cute" girl was with him so Yamcha ended up running away. He now doesn't go timid and shy around girls and works his way on helping people from the aliens that come to invade Earth.

Master Roshi is the great Turtle Hermit who gave a dragonball to Goku in exchange for something perverted. He used to be pure of heart until old age got to him and he turned to porn magazines for entertainment. He taught the Kamehameha Wave to Goku who became the second person to know/learn it.
